Finger Foods Tonight?

We never ever do anything exciting for NYE, seems like after our Christmas gatherings, someone at our house is usually sick at New Years. But I'm honestly fine with being chill and boring at home with my little family of 3 :)

Anyway we had some simple snacky food - some mini quiche's, fried green beans, cheeseball/crackers, summer sausage/cheese/crackers, and a premade dip purchased at the grocery store. We are all full and happy :)

We opted to stay in.. Hubby made prime rib, grilled shrimp and creamed spinach. He did a great job. We were supposed to go out, but our friends just became first-time grandparents, so that takes priority.

What's on the NYE menu? I'm channeling the Super Bowl...

Artichoke Dip and Baguette
Korean Won Tons
Pigs in a Blanket
Potato Skins
Tortellini skewers (sun dried tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, garlic olives)

I'm hungry and have an hour to add to Instacart....
Probably totally dumb question but did you cook tortellini, skewer a sun dried tomato and add the rest? That’s it?
Where did u get garlic olives?

Thank so much. Very seldom make appetizers but really want to make these.

I ended up being lazy and mixing all together like a pasta salad. Cooked the tortellini, added sundried tomatoes, Mozzarella balls, garlic stuffed olives (just in a jar from regular grocery), and drizzled with olive oil and balsamic. Some add fresh basil, too.

Eta: you can add Italian meat like prosciutto too

As someone who loves all things Poland, I am intrigued at this, unless you are referring to Zapiekanka? I could see how someone could call that a Polish pizza...and that I do know how to make...
I’m Polish and never heard of it until bought it from a local Polish deli (tons of cheese and mushrooms and crispy bread underneath. Grilled I presume). I
I am totally addicted. I buy several at a time and wrap well with Press & Seal and toss in freezer.
Yum.

Thank you!!! Sounds wonderful and even better for me because I take salads when asked to bring something. Can’t wait to make.

I know why it's called party food. I just had some leftovers and everything is so rich and over the top I had to throw most of the plate away. Only for celebrations!

Thank goodness for Nexium. 🤣

We had crab because the dungeness crab season actually started on time. Crab, salad, french bread, and bakery purchased desserts--super easy on the cook but still festive. We were in bed long before midnight, so no snack foods needed.
