Cept, she was very intoxicated most of the time.....................

I love the way you phrased that in the past tense. Ok, what? Is she now DEAD? I've heard being dead is highly over rated.

As the plan is now, I'll be at PFQ...........it's already changed 3 times. My dh says I can't change it again.....so I'm pretty sure that's where we'll be.

All I can say is OUCH!! You really know how to hurt yourself! I feel your pain when it comes to the finger........I cut mine off in a sliding glass door when I was 5.
Now that takes talent, or stupidity...........

Winkers, no sarcasm from me on this one, only sympathy. I'm the last person to make fun of someone's maladies with all that's happened to me. (see the giant Yo-YO story from "If it's Tuesday, this must be Epcot".)

Hey Neebs:flower3:
Sorry to hear of your mishapen finger mishap
Keep your hands to yourself from now on ::yes::
and if you can't keep them to yourself then make sure you put them someplace safe.:rolleyes1
sheesh I had to revise that sentence a couple of times.

1st wk of Feb will find me & me sisters at the Wilderness Lodge (a favorite
in the winter months).
We had booked an 8 day trip before that special deal came out, but
got it all revised so now we are getting the 3 days free w/the 200 gift
card. :yay:
We didn't go in October this year, so Feb seemed like a good time with
value season and all...pre Spring break etc.

Nothing seems right in the world unless we know Disney is on the horizon.
We all have our ups and downs, but knowing we are going to Disney just
makes it easier to get through the downs. right?? right! ok off to bed now.:cloud9:
LadyMar, if we do go, hope to run into you, it's starting to sound like that may be very easy to do since we might be the only ones there!
If you can't remember me or Smidgy from the pictures, just follow the sirens.

LadyMar, easy for you to say, you dont work there!!!!!!!!!!

Sunrise, Sunset
Sunrise, Sunset
Here we go again...

Driving to work 45 minutes
Driving home 45 minutes
Sucky cafeteria

Happy NOT to go to Disney when I dont have to (well, actually that not going to WORK!)

Now, if I could actually VACATION there, that would be a different story....

Hope all you vacationing folks come lots, we need you in this sucky economy.

Think short lines!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Neboites!!!!!!!!!!!

For 27 years for me it was a one hour drive,,,,, each way! Now, shall we talk about how it was when it snowed? I see what you mean though about attendance. I can't believe they cut the Flower Power concerts down to just weekends!

I need to speak to you. Both of you.

Uh oh, I' m in trouble again.
Wonder what I did this time?

If I'm not mistaken, toworrow is Nebo's birthday :cake: I hope all your wishes :wizard: come true.

Ok Missy, how did you know that? You're scaring me!

Yes it is.

My son's birthday is the same date.

funny that is..............

MOM!LOR]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STEVE!

Yup! 54 they tell me. And no, no steak. We went out for an hour and a half for a couple of drinks, then ordered a medium stuffed pizza and a chicken dinner to split that we picked up on the way home. Smidgy is right, then we watched Westworld that I hadn't seen in about 20 years, and it's not nearly as good as I remember.

Would you like prunes with that today, sir?

Pretty darn funny you are, Shawn. You must have read the side effects of Vicodin.

Ah shut up!:snooty:

:scared1: He does exist!!!!! :faint:

I haven't seen her in years, she moved to Texas.

Putting that finger to good use.

Let's just say I framed a certain rectangular piece of paper.

Nothing to say, (too late, too tired) except for HEY Nebo, great to see ya!

Hey Winkers, I probably should add I have been reading your trippies. I might have posted early on, but not lately, I think (But then, my memory sucks) Anyway, enjoy your reports. I might actually post there later.

What do you want, toilet paper or bands? You cant have both in this economony.

winkers, still waiting for that itinerary. it would be cool to meet up with you guys. at least just for a "howdyadoo!"
after MUCH rearranging, my family has agreed to an early Christmas, sat. the 20th. todd will have Jackson that weekend. I will be working christmas eve and christmas day. I plan to wear a snoopy christams shirt, troll christmas earrings, and a santa hat(hope I don't scare anyone away!) and I bought a bunch of candy canes to pass out.
earlier today I had a private party; a "meet and greet" sponsered by a charity , to meet with the families of kids with cancer that they will help out this coming year. these children and their families were SO nice and polite, just a PLEASURE to serve!!! I had to hold back tears, kids in wheelchairs , too weak to walk, hardly any hair, all excited about christmas. they all couldn't STOP saying "thank-you... for every little thing! ("here's your coke"... "oh, thank you!" "here's your chicken" "OH THANK YOU SO MUCH!" )
all smiles .
compare that to friday night.. I had a table with a VERY snotty little girl about 10 years old who barked orders at me every time I approached the table. the other waitress didn't show and I was running ragged, doing the best I could, and the guy at that table apparently ordered his steak without mushrooms.... didn[t hear that over the beastly child. when I brought his steak he yelled for the whole dining room to hear how he didn't even want to LOOK at the steak with mushrooms on it... take it away and bring a new one!
then 5 minutes later, (after many apologies from me) cancel the steak after all (2 steaks now cooked for him), take it off the bill, and , I am the WORST waitress he has EVER had!! (loudly). (all because there were mushrooms on his steak). sheesh!:headache:
regular customers at the next table said "diane, don't lose that smile of yours we love!" but it's hard to be loudly, publically treated like a slug in the dirt.
today made it all better. these kids and their families put it all in perspective.

Geez, Smidgy, that sounds horrible! :grouphug: Hope you have a great holiday celebration with your family, whenever you celebrate it.

But yay for those great kids!

Give my best to Nebo!

Some customers just won't ever be satisfied no matter what you do. It's easy to see why the child is the way she is. :sad2:

Always a recurring waitress nightmare for me....being the only one on the floor. I've been there and done that. Lots of hugs for you on that one.

Lovely story about the kids with cancer. It really does put things into perspective. :santa:

(Another recurring waitress nightmare....drink station 300 yards uphill from the restaurant and you have a party of 20. You finally get to the drink station only to find that someone broke a glass in the ice well.) :headache:

I'd a been in tears. Sorry Diane. Those people are just so unhappy. Makes me sad, and mad they take out their unhappyness on others.

Poor broken child.

Hey we had a Lexy sighting. Rare these days.

I haven't sent the itenerary yet, I've been too sick to think. But, I should get it done today.

I'm sorry you had such a crappy day. I remember waitressing........talk about a thankless job.

apparently you have done this job!!! and that happened that same night!!! she broke a brandy snifter.which is one of the reasons my service was slow. I had to wait for the bartender to empty the ice bin and refill it!and I had 7 tables. and we don't have a hostess or bus boy anymore cause business is so slow. but.. that night... they all came in at once! yikes! (and the one waitress only comes in when she thinks she will make $, never does side work. the friday before, I had ZERO tables.. the day after thanksgiving... THIS friday, they all came in at once! and I was on my own. but she doesn't want to put in her time on the slow nights. but, I digress....)

Im so sorry you are sick, if I were there I would put a cold rag on your forehead, and hold it and another hand on your tummy while you throw up..
I know, silly, but remember when your mom did that for you? you are such a sweetheart, i would do that for you if I were there!

guess what? sat, morning I got to lie on the couch in a blankie with Jackson and read Dr. Suess (Go Dog GO) for the 50th time, and he had a crusty nose, and kept wiping his boogers on me. and I told him "Grandma's NOT a Kleenix!" and now I wish I had put those boogers in a ziplock bag, cause I know these years go by in a flash! ok, I'm weird... but when we ever do get to move to florida, i know I'm going to miss those boogers!:lmao:
