We upgraded our package tickets to AP's at the end of our trip last week and I was just wondering if there is anything that Disney sends you for for becoming a passholder? The upgrade was just linked in to our current MB's from our trip but I wasn't sure if we will get new MB's....or maybe a bumper sticker....or an email from Mickey saying "see ya real soon" even lol......anything?

If you go into your MDE account you can order your AP magic band. Also there should have been a booklet that came with your AP but you can get a digital copy on the passholder website.

Based on our experience I would check in your profile to make sure your ticket expiration date is right.

I upgraded to an AP during my trip at the end of April. Within a couple of weeks (I don't remember exactly how long it took, but it was sometime in May), I received a welcome mailer that had an AP car magnet inside. I was also able to customize a new MB as the previous poster mentioned. I didnt receive a booklet, but I did start getting the passholder e-newsletter right away.

Edit: Just wanted to specify that the magnet is all that came in the mailer - it was otherwise just a postcard that said to log in and customize my new MB.

Just curious, how long is your AP good? I have read some people have it dated from the first use of tickets and some have said from the date you upgraded and then some (like my DD) was dated from the date a voucher was bought :crazy2:.

That's awesome - Congrats! :woohoo::banana::woohoo:

You are going to find out that there's more info available right away on the Disney webpage and your MDE login site, plus it could be really worth to check out new available discounts for your AP. There are quite som good things to save on there, if one looks around and is not afraid to ask Disney. They won't mention everything to you right away, so in order not to miss out the key is to ask, ask and ask again. :magnify:

And whenever there's an opportunity to either flash your card or MB at WDW, do it and ask if there's any special discount or perk for you on that day. You might be surprised what a nice CM can reveal for you. :jester:

When I visited for the first time with what was then Premium AP's and as soon as they saw the member card (before MB's) or if I asked nicely we got all sorts of perks. The best being a substantial room upgrade at The Wilderness Lodge when I was asked to show the AP card at check in, because I had booked on the "official" AP discount via the phone service. :sunny:

I did not get my AP bumper sticker the first year I had an AP the second year I did get one. if you do not get the AP booklet of discounts I think you can go to GR and get it ( or maybe it is the ticket office ) I know I never received with one in the mail and the website never works for me. at the end of the year you will receive reminder that it is ending soon and to renew.

It is supposed to be good for 366 days from the day it is activated (i.e. If you buy a AP and activate it today it will expire when the parks close on June 14th 2017). You can buy a voucher ahead of time so you can make FP selections ahead of time and then activate it when you get to Disney. If you do that the day you activate the pass at Disney is the day the 366 days start whether you enter the park that day or not (I've read some people activate the night before to avoid lines in the am). If you buy a regular ticket and then upgrade to an AP while on vacation they are supposed to back date the AP to the date the ticket was originally used (some cast members may mistakenly assign the current date but that is not Disney policy so don't count on that). Also some cast members may mistakenly assign the date the original ticket was sold (or the AP voucher). That is also not correct and I would double check to make sure it is correct before leaving guest relations to avoid a second trip as another poster in this thread had that mistakenly happen to them.

I got my first AP April 27 2015 and it was no longer good as midnight April 26 2016
