Finally saw Tink Fly! Here's our picture!

We finally saw her fly this trip, on Thursday May 12th. And we snapped a pic to prove it!

No I haven't seen any fireworks or lights shows at Disney since the Electric Light Parade when I was 4.

Now that I know that you have the same camera as me....what setting did you use to take this picture??? Everytime I tried to take one of the castle at night it was really blurry and it was standing still

I used the nighttime setting when taking the picture and it still did not work out

We actually used the nighttime setting too. It's just tricky because you have to hold EXTREMELY still for the pic to not be blurry. It's hard without a tripod!

My SIL took a behind the secnes tour and said the weather has to be just right for Tink to fly. She has to weigh under 125 lbs, I think. There are 2 others in the tower to push her up and out the window. She gets a full days paycheck for that less than one minute flight. She ends up on a mattress on top of a warehouse, not even still inside the Magic Kingdom.

We actually got her on video in Oct just as Wishes started- we were right at the entrance of the rose garden by Tomarrowland~ I had the camera zoomed at the window too waiting for her so we got a close up of her & then I zoomed out quick for her flight right above our heads! It was GREAT!

That's cool!!! It's really a magical thing to see, there were so many OOOHS and AHHHS from the crowd as she flew!

Cool pic!! We were very disappointed on our last trip that she didn't fly. Couldn't figure out why though, since the weather was georgous! Hopefully onw day we'll get to see her!

we have been 5 times and have never seen her fly. hopefully we will this trip. thanks liz for sharing!

I was thinking that... I could have use a railing or something to set the camera on! Funny how once you are IN the World, you don't always think as clearly. LOL

On our March 2003 trip, the weather seemed perfect, and she didn't fly then either! They must be VERY strict, which I don't blame them for though.
