Finally--I got a decent photo of Tink!

Kinda looks like an Oompa Loompa guy, or the Time to Make the Donuts guy from the old Dunkin' Donuts commercials (who recently passed away) to me...

Since Tink is seen at such a distance might he/she be wearing copious make up so that she/he might be more visible?

Peter Pan has mostly been played by women (weight restrictions on the old wires) it is only fair that Tink COULD be a guy.

I thought I had read where the one Tink had finally retired after years of service.

There are some things that I would rather not inspect TOO closely and Tink is one of them. Next thing I know someone is going to tell me that Santa is skinny in 'real' life. :crazy2:

Slightly Goofy

Amphigorey you are wrong. On the behind the scenes disney tour they even tell you that sometimes Tinkerbell can be a tinkermale.

I just told my DD8 to look at the picture of Tinkerbell at disney World. First thing she said is "It's a boy!" She doesn't seem like she's scarred for life, so I guess it's okay. :rotfl:

No it's not a guy at all. Disney wouldn't encourage a thing like cross dressing, its a girl. I think the "mustache" is like a head set to talk into, I read somewhere that she wears one incase something goes wrong during flight.

Looks like a guy to me, too.

I also wonder if he or she has to wear a diaper. If it were me, I certainly would be wearing some sort of "protection." Travelling that high over the park with only a wire to support me would definately cause me to "lose it." It wouldn't be pretty. :rotfl2:

I've heard that many stuntmen in Hollywood wore "protection" before they dove off of buildings. That's just too scary for words.

OT...Minniespal...where did you get the princess girls icon? I am looking for some (or anything fairy/princess) for a webpage. Maybe someone else can point me in the right direction also. Thanks

As for those of you who think she's a man, I'm sorry, but you're all insane.
Wow, there's a lot of us insane people here

see this is why I can be so happy (and silly and ditzy) at WDW...

I BELIEVE it all!!! When I saw that pic I instantly thought "tink how cool!!!" then when I read the thread some more...I got a sick feeling in my tummy...the kind you get when your friend or cousin tell you about the tooth fairy or santa..

To be honest when I saw her at Wishes I thought she was just a light ornamnet thingy, like the lighted stockings or trees that are lined in lights that you hang on your windows at Christmas...

I will look closer in August...

but not too close.... :teeth:

:scared:

Oh no! This thread has surfaced again! I had almost successfully put this horror out of my mind.

I dont' know... Take a close look.

Is it just me. But a character is a character no matter who is playing them. I know in our local parades the characters are often girls because of the costume sizing. It's the character that counts not whether the portrayer fits the gender to me.

My cousin worked at MK in 1992 (with the college program)at the Plaza Pavillion..where Tink lands. She told me that Tink at that time was....a man
:confused3 .

:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

OKAY STOP! THIS IS THE FUNNIEST THREAD I HAVE EVER READ, CAN'T YOU GUYS GO BACK TO FLAMING PEOPLE?

I read the article for where to see Tink at DL, where do you see her at MK(where to look during/before wishes)?

for man. :confused3

As for the "doughnut" man..... I almost needed protection myself. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
