Finally--I got a decent photo of Tink!

Ok, that is SO stinking funny. I'm laughing out loud!!! I, for one, choose to NOT show my 4yo DD the pic of Tink. We will go in Sept and I do not want her to think Tink looks like daddy. :rotfl2:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :hyper: :hyper:

I agree that the Tink in those (awesome) photos does look like a guy, but regarding the mustache thing. Disney is sooooo attentive to detail, that even if they do have Tinker Bills, I am pretty sure that the men playing that role would not be allowed to have a mustache. I mean it wasn't so long ago that we all found out that Disney was so controlling of details that they didn't allow the characters to wear their own underwear making them wear issued underwear from costume central, so letting the detail of a mustache slip by, never.

I'm not going to comment on the original picture, :scratchin but I work with a girl whose dad works at Disney, and she worked there also for a time. She's a tiny thing, and was Chip, or Dale, or maybe both; I can't remember right now, but I'm pretty sure she was also Tinker Bell. :tink: I'll try to remember to ask her about it tomorrow.

Maybe it's just me but it looks as if Tink could very very well be a man!!!!

when i went on the KTTK tour they told us that occationally Tinkerbell is portrayed by a man. but hey, in the play Peter Pan was always played by a woman.....so i guess they're really not THAT far off lol.

For those of you who think she has a mustache, look at where its at, its goes to far voer on the cheek. Just look closey, its not a mustache.

It could be a woman with a really weird, or scared as heck grin.

First off - Those really are GREAT Pictures of Tink. Good job.

But I have to vote Man also. It is like a train wreck I just can't seem to look away. :lmao:

I thought the same thing when I first looked at the pictures...I think it's just a "butch" girl her arms look huge! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Seriously.....I think its just the angle she is hanging on the wire.
BTW, you got some great pictures of Tink...she "whips" by so fast! Thanks for sharing!
Maybe Tink is east german

i say as long as she/he looks like tink in the coustume, who cares? you can barely see her and if having tink light the fireworks means a man must do it, i dont care.

I think it's a dude as well .

Now with that being said the Strap is to the safety helmet. They stash could just be a MIC I know she has to wear one as anyone on a wire has to for safety.

I'm not going to get into the gender deBAIT - but wanted to comment on the body size. For all those calling Tink "husky" or any varriation thereof - just what do you think has to be worn under the outfit to keep Tink safe while flying?? BULKY gear!

From the webpage Baloo linked to:
"She’s helped into her harness (a bulky contraption somewhat resembling a parachute set-up), her wings are attached, she’s hooked up to the cable, the wire is given a last-minute test, the launcher takes her by the ankles and positions her for the impending take-off, and they wait for the go-signal."

A story in one of the Disney publications about DisneyLAND said that the women who fly as Tinkerbell have to be small, around 5 feet tall and 95-105 pounds. It said once she gets all the flying gear, communication gear, the lights and the batteries for the lights she weighs close to 165 pounds. Can't find the link right now, but I'll look.
