Just re-upping a question I posed earlier and I don’t think anyone responded to. Do we have any confirmation that ALL rooms are getting the Murphy beds or do we still have questions about whether some or all of the top floor rooms are keeping pull out beds because of the ceiling shape?

IMO, if all floors are getting the Murphy beds, that does give CCV rooms a slight edge over BRV rooms (on this point) because you will always be assured of no pullout bed.
Which rooms at Boulder Ridge distill have fold out sofa? We have stayed a few times in a 2 bedroom lock off and dedicated two bedroom but had a Murphy each time.

My understanding is that some (maybe all?) on of the rooms on the top floor of BRV still have the sofa beds because of the roofline shape.

That said, if you look at DVC Fan's tour of the the 2 BR lock-off that @Joroc0801 posted above (https://dvcfan.com/dvc-room-tours/copper-creek-two-bedroom-room-tour/), it looks like a top floor room, and the 1 BR side got the Murphy bed, while the studio side got the sofa bed.

So, my question would be, is it just some of the studios at CCV that have to stick with the sofa bed? Curious whether anyone has had a refurbished 1 BR or dedicated 2 BR that did not have the murphy bed.

Pure guess... but I'm thinking all corner rooms did not get a Murphy in the studio, and likely the entire top floor similar to Boulder Ridge. Everything else should have been able to accomodate them.

Can't wait for our upcoming return trip to CC! We were there last August, but on the evening of the first day I had to rush DH to the ER! He ended up being admitted for three of our four days!

After the second day of being in the hospital I took an Uber back to the Lodge to pack everything up, after not using the room at all, and storing everything with Bell Services. BS was happy too as I gave them all our groceries, a case of water and 12 pack of beer.

Wilderness Lodge's manager was so kind to me during this stressful time - kind words and ignoring my tears as I tried to explain what I was being told by the doctors and trying to figure out what my next steps were.

A few positive notes:
  • We were in Celebration and his hospital room had a perfect view of Epcot's fireworks! We stood at the window and pretended we were in the park
  • Management provided us a refund of the three nights, and DVC let us bank the points since we have a Dec UY.
  • We were blessed that the hospital released him on our final afternoon (after telling us he may need surgery) and DVC found us a room at Boardwalk.
  • We had a wonderful last night/day at Epcot.

Hopefully this year we get to stay at CC with no unplanned trips!

Here’s some fresh intel-checked in yesterday and they have renovated deluxe studios(ones with a bathtub) with the Murphy bed on the 1st floor 😊 last I had heard they were on the 3rd floor making their way down so we were so surprised and happy to get a refurbished room!!
I did see on the way to the elevator the newly refurbished two bedroom on the 2nd floor they are using for the tours (door is glass so not a current guest room). If I remember later I’ll take a pic there.

Good to know the first floor is finished! I was there a month ago and all the rooms on the CCV first floor had the windows/sliders blocked by some type of scrim and painters tape! They must have finished. And the sign was out about the third floor then, too. Be back in about 3 weeks, will be interesting to see how much is done!

Glad to hear you get to go back and hopefully everything will be better!

Also nice to hear that management was kind & was able to help you out 🙂

They are still doing exterior work on the lodge side of the resort (scaffolding is still up) and the outdoor walkway is closed on that side (have to walk inside past Territory Lounge down to Roaring Fork). I haven’t gone above the 2nd floor so not sure if the 3rd floor is open yet. Room looks great and I think we are the first to stay in it honestly. The keurig duo coffee pot still had the plastic twist tie on it when you first take it out of a box and the toiletries in the shower took several pumps to get them going like they had just been installed.

Nice! I did see the scaffolding there last month. I am happy about the Keurig, I usually buy a resort mug because we are there for 2 weeks (one at WL/CCV and one at Poly) but I much prefer this to the coffee pot. Glad you had a nice stay!
