Well, after finding the "Wes Palms" operator last year, we finally spotted the Trash Can operator last week.

We saw him too! My DH (who was wearing Mickey groom ears) couldn't believe I was talking to a trashcan and hurried away. Whereupon PUSH called him the runaway groom!!!!!!

Well, after finding the "Wes Palms" operator last year, we finally spotted the Trash Can operator last week.

We spotted him last night when they extended the hours after Hurricane Wilma left. He does an excellent job though, if you were not looking for him you would not pick him out of the crowd. The trash cans name is PUSH and he really likes it when you call him by his name. The kids had Atlantic City shirts on and he said, I see Jessica is a gambler, if he hears you say your childs name he will pick them out of the crowd by name and interact with them. We really enjoyed him last night.

We love trying to find the operator and watching the guests reactions. The best was when some kids were pushing Wes a little too much and he started calling for security. Those kids scattered quicker than anything I have ever seen.

We were there in August and we saw the trash can operator in the Magic Kingdom one day and then the very next day he was the recycable can in the Animal Kingdom near the Petting Zoo.

We enjoyed just sitting there and watching peoples' interaction with the can, also watching the operator try to concentrate on his conversation and trying not to look obvious in the surrounding area.

Hi all,

Where might I look for "Push" and "Wes Palms"? I do not even know what "Wes Palms" is. I am leaving on Tuesday 11/1. Please help me out!

Never heard of "Wes Palms" either.

I always see "Push"'s operator in Tomorrowland.

Wes Palm is the talking, moving palm tree usually seen at the opening of AK. He's alot of fun - had me cornered one time. Told me my friend was "stalking" me!! :rotfl2:

My DD 7 thought it was the coolest thing in WDW last month. She told him it was her sisters B-day and "Push" sang her Happy B-Day. Its really cute and the little ones get a kick out of it.

"Push" really moves around, I am suprised the operator can move the can so well. Is the operator close by? I was looking around, but I could not find him. :)

He's around. And much much closer than you think! ;)

It doesn't sound like he has a regular "hang-out" spot. If anyone knows differently, maybe they can post and let us know! :flower:

We spotted him last week in AK near the petting zoo. I've also seen him in the MK in Tomorrowland.

I watched him for quite awhile last year. It's so obvious once you know what to look for. :)

Yeah, it's funny how obvious he is once you've seen him. He does a fantastic job of blending in with the crowd.

Here is Wes Palm

So the operator who is close is also talking? Or is he just the remote control operator? I would just think you could here him talking or singing .... :earsboy:

We have a picture of my grandson talking to PUSH and in the background is the controller. I will try and post it later when the more computer literate people get home!

I have a great picture of PUSH and another of his operator. I hate to post it though...don't want to take the fun out of it for everyone else.

If you look you will see him around...

He can talk very quietly...and still PUSH talks plenty loud. Also...many people have no idea they should look for someone...they look inside and see trash and wonder how it works.

My advice for AK is wear your favorite palm tree shirt...and look for Wes. Have fun!

Thanks for the info. I was looking around while my daughter was talking to him, but didn't notice anyone. This was on the 2nd day of our last trip. We hit T'land many more times, and never did see Push again. Years ago, we talked with him where the noodle place is, but this time it was by Mickey's Star Traders. :earsboy:
