I wish I could say that. I wouldn't say that I am drowning, because I am a pretty good swimmer, but it could get ugly.

Congratulations! I wished that my DH and I shared the same philosophy on paying down our debt. I've begged to work on our budget together for 15 years now...it is the same old thing. Say a prayer for us that we can get it all together, before this "GREATEST" Depression time hits us!! Yikes!

If you are committed to being cc debt free, instead of locking away the Disney visa why not let it work for you. As long as you faithfully each month pay the balance in full you can earn rewards to use on your next trip.

We have all our (home and DH business) normally monthy bills (all that will allow us to do so) charged automatically each month to our visa. We also charge our groceries, gas for cars, anything that we would normally pay cash or write a check for. We have to pay these bills each month anyway so why not get something back for doing so.
Since doing this we have accumulated a little over $400 in rewards and when you actually think about how much was charged to get that amount accumulated.
We are hoping to have enough earned to pay for a major portion of our annual passes next april 2010. We will then start earning towards the next ones that will be purchased in Spring 2012.

This will not work unless you pay the entire balance in full each month and you control your buying/spending habits.

Thank you all!! I honestly think this board was the inspiration to me... just to get out of debt and stay out!
