FINALLY COMPLETE! 10/3/2010- But Why is the Rum Gone? Disneyween 2007

LOL Crystal! Your Baggalini demos killed me!

However, I will be calling you a Disneyweenie from now on.

Love the Baggalini demo. :rotfl2:

I had an experience like that with a bikini top once, but I can't post those pics here. :rolleyes1

Oh crap! I just bought a baggallini and haven't even tried to figure out how to get that sucker on. Now I have baggallini anxiety! Very funny demo.

Crystal, I loved the Baggalini photos... They reminded me of the strange contortions I was trying out in our local Mountain Equipment Co-op when I was hunting for a little bag to bring along. After trying about 5 different ones, each in a different size and colour (I'm not sure why I thought that perhaps the red one would fit better than the blue one), I gave up. I think those bags are made for a certain type of body... I kept thinking that my chest got in the way of the strap, or what not. :lmao:

In the end, I bought a small leather backpack/purse that carried everything I needed for the day: cameras (2), notebook, pen, guidebook, sunglasses, lip balm, coin purse and comb with hair ties. The only thing I couldn't cram inside was a bottle of water, but considering how much actually fit into the bag, I was quite impressed -- and it was easy to wear and maneuvre around.

LOL That baggalini demo! :rotfl2:

Looks like me trying to figure out to get in and secure a wrap dress. :confused3

So I have never been to the AC! Can you believe it? Well actually scratch that. I did go inside it and stayed for about 10 minutes before my friends and I went off somewhere else. It is on my list for May for sure. Anything I should know about? How about that Kungaloosh drink? Do I need to get one of those? What's in them?

Oh, and my park bag is a Vera Bradley hipster bag.

They have them in a plain microfiber if you aren't into the whole quilt look. They don't hold too much but I can get everything I need in them - wallet, sunglasses, tickets, lip gloss, gum, tylenol, and a small water bottle. And the decapitation factor isn't too high although I do wear mine across my body. The straps are adjustable though so you could make it shorter and wear it on one shoulder. Or they have cute mini backpacks but I hate having to always swing it around to the front to get something out of it.

Crystal,

Just wanted to peek in here and tell you how much I am looking forward to reading your TR from October! :woohoo:

I will just miss you as we will be in WDW on October 9th then on the Disney Magic on the 20th and flying home on the 27th.

I will be missing it so much when we get back so your trippie will be just in time to relive some memories :surfweb:

I will be doing another live trip report during our trip so maybe that will get you all psyched for your trip!!

We will be doing MNSSHP again this year on the 14th, and we will be bringing hubby's family with us too! AND it will be our princess' first trip to WDW!!!! princess: :woohoo:

Is it October yet??????????

I shall wear the title with pride!

 That reminds me a little of trying on a too-small dress, and getting totally trapped in it. You're flailing around, wondering if you should call someone to come to the dressing room, vowing you're going to stop eating cake...

Oh crap! I just bought a baggallini and haven't even tried to figure out how to get that sucker on. Now I have baggallini anxiety! Very funny demo.

Hopefully you're more coordinated than I am! Then again, I'm the sort of person who runs into walls on a regular basis, so it doesn't take much!

When all else fails, blame the chest! :rotfl: It's my scapegoat for most things, really.

I loooove that I not only get to go on vacation, but that it also gives me an excuse to shop for a new bag!

Sadly, I need a pretty big one, since I carry my camera, video camera, notebook, camera lens adapters, filters, spare camera batteries, extra memory card, botttle of water, small blue alien, partridge, and pear tree.

You must give the AC a try! It will usually look like nothing's going on when you first get there, but if you stick around for a while, something will start. If you check out Day 7 of my "No Day But Today" trip report from January, there's a fairly extensive write-up of one of my nights there (and the Kungaloosh recipe!)

Oooh, I can't wait for your new report! I just watched your cruise videos again a few days ago- they make me...um... what's the cruise ship version of homesick? Magicsick? Tell Rob to have a chocolate croissant for me! You're going to have such a fun new adventure with your new princess on board for the trip!

Hopefully you're more coordinated than I am! Then again, I'm the sort of person who runs into walls on a regular basis, so it doesn't take much!

Sadly, while I wish I were coordinated I am not. I too run into walls for no reason and trip over carpet loops. I usually have several bruises from head to toe. I did try it on today though and I think I can do it, if I stop to think and can keep my balance while doing so!!

Can't wait to read more, you seem like such a fun loving, easy spirited gal!:goodvibes

Oh, dear DIS friends, I've got it bad.

Those "need a trip back to WDW" blues!

Well, blues is kind of the wrong word. It's more of a wanderlust type of thing!

I wake up from dreams about refillable mugs and resort transportation.

Basically, I'm getting a little pathetic! I mean, yeesh, it's only been a few months since my trip!

I'm getting my fix by reading trip reports, but that only fans the flames. I need some WDW, stat!

Sadly, I still don't know if I can do the Bonus Star Wars Weekend trip yet. If so, it would only be 2 months away, and I might be able to surive that wait! However, 2 months isn't very long to save up for a trip! (Especially since I've been sick for over a month now, and work has been nice enough to cut me down to 3 days a awwk until I feel better. Nice for when you don't feel good, but awful when you get your paycheck!)

Plus, Disney STILL hasn't released June AP rates! (I haven't done a pre-trip for SWW, since I'm not 100% sure I can go, so I'm using this spot to whine about it!)

Am I seriously going to survive waiting over 6 months if I don't do the SWW trip?

Since Miss Kellylou is starting a new job soon, we've postponed making our major resort decisions until then. I'm personally hoping to win the lottery between now and then and just move the whole trip to the Polynesian! (I am missing it SO much!)

Pardon all of my whining, but I needed to vent my "I'd give my left shoe for a dole whip and a ride on Everest!" blues!

hi, crystal! :wave2: i'm on board for your report and can't wait for more. i actually read your january '07 report and your stay at AKL made me decide that i MUST check out that resort while i'm at WDW this year. so thanks for that! ;)

i see that you have a myspace (um....yeah....so who doesn't?) so i thought i'd give you the link to mine in case you want a new friend: http://www.myspace.com/punkin76

oh, by the way, you are so working that baggalini (not sure if i spelled that right!)......you should apply to be their spokesmodel! :rotfl:

Feel better Crystal!

And if you win the lottery then you also have to book the Sept 2008 cruise ;)

Crystal, I feel and share your pain. Likewise, it's been just 3 months since my trip, but I've been dreaming about returning, reading all sorts of posts and threads on disboards, and watching the DVC and Trip Planning DVDs from Disney. And I'm likely a year or so away from planning my next Disney trip! :sad2:

I have been trying to console myself by reading guide books and travel websites for Thailand since that trip is imminently closer to reality (July 07), and there is a lot of planning to be done. I'll be there for 10 days so I need to figure out what I can see/do in Bangkok and Chiang Mai for that time. I'm also waffling over whether to sneak in a side trip to Angkor Wat, which I have always wanted to do. But since there are many wats in Bangkok and Chiang Mai, will I be too wat-ted out if I also do Angkor on this trip? Is it even possible to be too wat-ted out? :confused3

If only I played the lottery, and if only I won said lottery, we (and a bunch of other Disers) would be on one-way trips to Disney immediately...

I hope you get to go to the Star Wars Weekend coming up, and keep venting and planning, my friend. It's all good... and as fellow Disney addicts, we all understand.

I totally feel your pain! I have been wanting to make a quick trip for a while especially since DFi left for England I want to cheer myself up by going to Disney. I know I wouldn't be sad there...how can you be it is Disney right?? Well I am all caught up from my few weeks away...looking forward to hearing about more of your plans.

Just wanted to say Happy Easter to all of my awesome trip report readers, from our family!

She's baaaaaaccckkkk!
Yeah.

Loved the baggallini demos, but now I'm a bit worried about some liability issues.

See I gave my BFF a red baggallini for her birthday for her first family trip to WDW. What is she decapitates herself with it? :scared1:

Will her husband and sons ever forgive me?

Gift-giving is so complicated. ;)

How did I not realize you had started your pre-trip? Now I have six pages to catch up on...I better hurry up! :teeth:

OK I'm caught up. I love the nametags. Still wish I could visit WDW the same time as you, but since I'll be off in Key West watching my mature, responsible, adult friends get hitched instead, I'll just pretend that the Kelly in your reports is me because we have the same name. Oh well, next halloween for sure. Unless of course, you suddenly have a Disney overload and decide to take a break for a couple of years (yeah, right!)

I feel your Sanjaya pain - his version of "Bathwater" was in my head for about 76 hours. Straight.

And the baggallini & crystal photo essay?....priceless.
I wish I had a better pic of my official park bag, which is a big purse with miss Alice on it.

I have always said that slide freaks me out, reminds me of Stephen King's IT:scared1:

I've never been to this pool, and now I think I never will. IT scares the heck out of me (that's what my tag refers to)!

Anyway....glad you are back, and glad to be spending most of 2007 sharing in your planning & trip taking!

Your pre-TR has gotten me so pumped for my own trip to WDW at pretty much the same time you're going (Oct. 21-28). Me and my DF are staying at the Dolphin and are doing MNSSHP, hopefully a combo of Hoop De Doo and the Haunted Hayride, and also Halloween Horror Nights. I did a shorter version of the exact same trip last year and it was probably the best few days of my life!! You will **love** WDW at Halloween. MNSSHP is the BEST - the decor, parade, and fireworks rule, and as I'm sure you know from being a loyal DISer, there are NO lines for any of the MK rides around 5-7 pm. It was sheer heaven.

Soooo - it's almost time to make ADRs! My personal recommendation (not that you asked for it!) is to make a dinner reservation at MK around 5 pm on the day of MNSSHP so you can sit around and watch the park clear out. I'm sure the fancy tea would be good too though. Methinks we're gonna do Liberty Tree Tavern the night of MNSSHP, and also 50s PrimeTime, Le Cellier, Brown Derby, and Crystal Palace.

THANKS for posting!!! Post new info if/when you do your ADRs!! Can't wait to hear how your plans turn out!
