FINALLY COMPLETE! 10/3/2010- But Why is the Rum Gone? Disneyween 2007

another suggestion for you if you are interested.

I see you are in for a few days before Halloween. You might want to go to the Adventurers Club sometime before the 31st and take in the Halloween show before then. What a hardship THAT would be.

The 31st itself can get a bit crowded. The Halloween show is performed for most of October so if you can get in to see it before that, you will definitely get a seat in the library. On Halloween itself, although it's usually presented twice that night, unless you're ready to move in you might not get into the library.

Thanks for the tip! We're planning to go most of the nights of our trip, but it hadn't occoured to me that Halloween would be extra-busy there!

Is the whole night Halloween themed, or just one show? I'm hoping that Kelly will get to see some of the regular shenanigans, since it will be her first trip!

You'll have to take her after Halloween to see the radiothon. Before the 31st the Halloween show will be performed in its place (on Halloween and on any night that it's performed twice, one of the earlier shows will also not be presented...I think it's the Jinkies show). The rest of the shows, except for any improvisational bits that occur, are the same as they ever were. On November 1 the decorations magically disappear and everything is back to normal. I'm arriving on the 31st so that is my only time to see the special show, otherwise I'd probably attend it at least once before the night itself.

The "regular members" wear their own costume accessories. If I remember correctly they don't wear them for all of October, although they definitely do ON Halloween, and usually a few days before it.

Today marks exactly 7 months until Disneyween!!!

We're so flippin' excited! I don't have much new to report in the ways of planning, but it felt like I should give you some kind of update!

So, um, did you guys know that Disney is really expensive?

Um, yeah... this has got to be the understatement of the year. :scared: If Disney could hook up a direct line to our bank account, I'm sure they would. But, we keep going back.... sigh....

Your 180 days will be here before you know it!!! Mine is in a week and I haven't even thought about my ADR's yet!

Have a great weekend!

You are the best info source- thanks!!! I can't wait to see the AC all "Halloweeed" up!

The 180 day mark freaks me out! Especially since I actually need to make a few ADRs this time! I soooo do not know what I'm going to be in the mood to eat 6 months from now!

I'm surprised Disney doesn't have their own bank yet. Open an account there, deposit your checks... you know they'll end up there anyway!

This is my sixth Halloween at AC. Every year they put up more freakin decorations. I can't wait to see what they've done with the place this year either.

Okay, you guys are going to think I'm an even bigger dork than ever, but I have to share this because it makes me laugh.

It makes me laugh a lot. Like.. more than "I have a big head, and little arms!"

Almost as much as my aligator/crocodile shirt:

SeeYouLaterAlligator_Thumbnail.gif

And that's saying something, because every time I wear it, I laugh ALL freaking day, and randomly stop to point out "See...see.. it's funny, because HE'S a crocodile!!!" Yup, I'm that person.

But this? This falls somewhere in betweeh the aligator shirt and Big Head Little arms.

See, it all started with my love of the Jack Sparrow "SexyBack" video.

Have you seen it? It's lovely! If not, you can see it here:

It got the song stuck in my head. In that really-really stuck in your head way that Small World does. In the way that Sanjaya's evil, evil version of that "Girl, you really got me now..." song has been stuck in my head for TWO WEEKS.

So for the past month or so, I have randomly been breaking out singing SexyBack. And posting the video on my friends' myspaces.

Yup, I'm that person.

After a while of this, we started joking that this trip report should be called "Disneyween 2007: Bringing Sexy Back".

And then I noticed that Katie, Kelly, and I all had the quintessential black and white, serious faced MySpace picture.

Thus, this was born:

I can not stop laughing. I can't even look at it without cracking up!

And as if that wasn't bad enough:

I really AM going to end up a crazy cat lady, with only my knitting to keep me company, aren't I?

This is my sixth Halloween at AC. Every year they put up more freakin decorations. I can't wait to see what they've done with the place this year either.

I think I just found my dream job: I want to be the person who gets to decorate the Club for holidays!

I am seriously more excited about Halloweenish AC than just about anything on this trip. It's right up there with MNSSHP!

I have to remember to actually take pictres there this time! For all of my obsessive WDW picture taking, I have like... 10 from the AC. Total. It's nuts!

haha thats fantastic!!! I love the sexyback disneyween logo!

I think you an I are a lot alike. Last night at dinner we were talking about meet the robinsons and my mom asked "is that the one with the coffee patches and the dinosaur?" and I just started laughing at the thought of the dinosaur...and of course i had to make the noise. :lmao:

Love the new logo, Jack is going to have his hands full with the three of you. Can't wait to hear the stories, what only like 7 months to wait...

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Okay, crazy Polynesian Pirate Girl, I'm on deck and ready for whatever comes my way! 7 months out sounded like a long time until mlill pointed out the 180 day mark - you're a mere month away from the thrill of Dining Roulette! :woohoo:

Hey - did you find a repalcement bag yet? I'm with you on the Baggallini; that over my head/twist to the left thing just isn't working out. I found a great mini backpack at an Eddie Bauer outlet- complete with bottle holder and lots of nooks and crannies. I've been using it around town and it seems like a good WDW bet:thumbsup2

Ooh, I may have to check there!

Seriously, the baggallini is great in concept, but if I had a dollar for every time I nearly decapitated myself with it, I'd be staying concierge at the Poly this trip! :rotfl2:

Do I really want to know what a baggallini is?

Here's a shot of the Baggallini from ebags.com.

Crystal---Hey chica! I love that you started your pre-trip report. I can't imagine how long it's going to be by the time you actually go on your trip. 100 pages? Have you had any luck on the DVC Rent board? My Disney budget is scary as well. I did an Excel spreadsheet and I think it was about $1,400 (if I get an AP) for my little 5 night trip. But I pay for things a little at a time and save up cash and turn it into AMEX gift cards to use for spending when I get there.

I got a pair of celery (slightly resembles lime green) Crocs Capri sandals...pretty comfy and cute.

Looking forward to your updates as your planning progresses.

Do I really want to know what a baggallini is?

The baggallini is a lovely bag with eight million compartments- it's supercute, and big enough to hold all of the junk I carry to the parks.

When worn correctly, it looks like this:

Technically, you just have to stick your left arm through, and then slip it over your head.

It sounds easy.

When undertaken by me?

It looks more like this:

And given that I have to take it off every six and a half seconds to pose for a photo, I've decided I need to upgrade to something a little easier! (Like a sherpa! With a llama, to carry my things!)

October hours are out on Disney's site, and it looks like MNSSHP will take place (or rumored to take place) on the days when MK closes at 7PM.

As nutty as I am with planning, I've pretty much got an early plan of attack including dinner ADRs for for my Halloween week ... and it's still a month out from from the 180 day ADR window.

Tentatively planning on hitting the AC on Halloween ... I'm only showing up for the free swag that you're supposed to be handing out :thumbsup2

That's exactly what would happen to me...:rotfl2:

Thanks for the laugh - really needed that this early in the morning! :thumbsup2

Crystal, just found your pre-trip, looking forward to reading about your plans.
I am going this year in October too, but will be there a week or so before you. This will be my first time in October (I think I have been to WDW just about every month out of the year, except. Oct.) and for the Halloween party, I am sooo excited.

I'm so happy the hours are out! They have officially been written into the Official Disneyween Planning Notebook (Remind me to post a picture of it!)

I'm a bit confused, though, since the dates I heard for this year's MNSSHP included the 29th (the one we were planning on), but MK is listed as having evening EMH that night. Hmmm.. curious!

You're way ahead of me on the ADR planning! I have a vague idea of some things we may want to eat- I guess we need to decide soon! (Curse you, dining plan, and the dining complications you cause for the rest of us! And why don't we have a smiley shaking its fist at the sky?)

We'll see you at the AC! Look for the band of pirates trying to talk Hathaway Browne into joining their crew!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Thank you, thank you! I'll be here all week! :rotfl2:

I think there's some sort of club for people whose trips just miss mine- there seem to be about eight zillion people in it so far! I'm starting to feel like you people are avoiding me on purpose! ;)

I'm excited about October, too! I've done Jan, Feb, April, May, Nov, and Dec- this is my first Oct!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I LOVE IT!!!! Crystal seriously the baggalini pictures are classic! I have been toying with getting one for my trip in June..but now I am not so sure..it looks pretty dangerous to me! :scared1:
