I just had to share that after much web searching and nail biting I have finally booked my flights for August. I know many others have been going through the same but as more people seemed to get sorted my panic grew and at one point a few days ago I thought I would be abandoning the trip altogether.
The flights aren't ideal but at half the price of direct I'm happy. I'm flying Dublin - New York via Heathrow (from newcastle previous evening). Spending 3 nights New York then returning to newcastle from Jacksonville via Dallas and Heathrow -£530. (Booked with BA)
I've just got the flight to Dublin to sort £55 inc luggage and then from New York down to Orlando after 3 days sightseeing in the big apple - £110.
I'm pleased with connection times and it will be the first time In 14 yrs I have started and finished at newcastle airport which is only 20mins away and so will not require overnight hotel and parking which I think will make up for flying indirect.
It's like a weight lifted off my shoulder particularly as I wanted it sorted before my DH goes in for his gall bladder out tomorrow.
Just need to tweak my DVC reservations and start pricing up the extras yippee!!

Blimey - even reading your itinerary is making me tired!

I hope you're building in plenty of rest time to recover :)
