Final season of ER - Dr Ross to make a guest appearance!!

Count me in! I was a loyal viewer until about 4 years ago, then I stopped watching b/c the characters were all different and the writing sucked. I caught an episode last year and got hooked all over again.

I am obviously the odd woman out, but I never really cared that much for Dr. Carter. I liked alright him when he was a med student, but after he graduated, I just didn't care for the character much. And all of his hippie-dippie Doctors W/O Borders stuff in Africa was probably the beginning of the end for me, come to think of it.

Okay, so the previews for tonight mention a beloved dying....any thoughts?? My guess would be Pratt, but I really don't want it to be him. Hopefully it's not Frank....hasn't he been through enough??

P.S. I also LOVED Chicago Hope and St. Elsewhere ( anyone else remember that one??)

That was one of the few shows hubby and I ever agreed on! I loved the last episode -- Hailey's Comet .....

Yeah it said something like a "fan favorite will draw their last breath". WTH!!! Who could it be?

I am a loyal fan and watcher of the show since the beginning!

I think its gotta be either Sam or Pratt cause they were arguing over who would go in the ambulance that ended up blowing up.

I love ER. I haven't watch it from the beginning (as I was about 10 when it started), but I love watching reruns and have like the last 6 or so seasons. I'm sad that it will be ending and I can't wait to watch it tomorrow (I know, its on tonight, but I DVR it and then it'll be too late for me to watch, so I have to wait until tomorrow... :sad1:

Duh...I completely forgot about the ambulance explosion on the season finale! :upsidedow

I agree about Carter. His character became way too arrogant for me.

I never missed a episode!!!!:thumbsup2

:lovestruc :lovestruc Me!!!!!!! I LOVE this show. Does anyone remember WAY back in the beginning when Carter had "Ruby's" wife as a patient, and he lied to Ruby about her not getting better? And then when Dr. Carter left the show 10 years later, Ruby made a repeat appearance! I love when they bring back old characters, and while I'm really sad to see the show ending, I think it's time to go (15 seasons; I wonder if they thought it would last this long!).

I love this show and have watched from the start. It's had its moments where it wasn't as good, but for me there were more than enough good ones to outweigh the bad.

As for who dies...if I had to choose I'd want it to be Sam. She's never been one I cared all that much for and I didn't like how she just sent her kid away. Don't forget Abby and Luka were near the ambulance bay in the finale as well, but I'd like to hope they'll end the show with them being happy and not one of them dying.

I am an on-again, off-again fan. I started in the Clooney years!

When Dr. Greene died, it was like the show died with him. I think I may have cried more during his last episode than I did for real people! :guilty:

I will be watching these last episodes, though. It is sad it is ending but all good things must pass.

In all twist and turns they give us I'll bet nobody dies in the "blow up" scene BUT sometime in tonights show(the last two minutes) someone will die and I dont know why I just think its gonna be Luka, with him and Abby leaving the show...it just makes me think.......

anybody else?

ER always has a way of making you think something is going to happen, and twisting it 180 degrees around (like when Lucy and Carter both got attacked by the crazy man)

I'm looking forward to it! While I don't think it's as good as it was in the early years, I still love watching it. I am interested to see what happens tonight!

I love er. I've never missed an episode. My hubby is an even bigger fan (okay, freak) and has to have it totally quiet when er is on or he will pause until there is no noise.

I'm sad this is the last year. :( But it is time for it to end.

I'm hoping (that sounds so bad... hoping) Sam is in the ambulance. Every time I look at her I hear her say "Oh Scooby!".

I've watched ER from the beginning! And I've taken to recording the reruns on TNT from 10-12 each weekday morning. I'm in love with ER. Always have been!
I loved Carter until he started getting really full of himself, especially in the episode where him, Abby, Luka, Susan and Gallant have to go for the harassment class (John and Luka duel, and Luka does the monologue from Hamlet in Croatian :lovestruc ).

I know that Anthony Edwards is coming back (in flashbacks) for one episode. Laura Innes is returning (supposedly). But no one else is confirmed for returning besides Carter for his 4 episodes.

But I can't wait for tonight. And I know who dies and how others leave. Highlight the next few lines if you want the spoilers.
Pratt is in the ambulance and is seriously hurt. Not dead yet. They all work on him. But he knows he's dying. He tells Morris to not screw everything up and those are his last words to him. Abby is going to get a job (Boston I think) and her and Luca are going to move and start over, but not for a few episodes. End spoiler and let the countdown begin!!

OK, so Pratt died. I must admit that I am a pretty emotional person and have been known to cry during and after episodes of various TV shows. I did NOT feel anything tonight!!! To be honest, I was never so much of a Pratt fan; he seemed really pompous and stuck up to me. I'm glad that eveyone else survived and I think that this season is going to be interesting...

Kinda tired of the the actual doctors of ER dying

the one that jumped onto the trains tracks and committed suicide

the one that was stabbed with Carter

Greene

the helicopter doc

kinda is getting old

I didn't like him at first but have grown to like him throughout the years...in my opinion it was just as sad as when Greene died...I can't wait to see the flashbacks with him this season.

Ok, what I don't understand is why the next episode isn't until 2 weeks from tonight? The season just started, we don't need a week off yet.
