Fill in the blank.....

I'm the meanest mom because I made all of my kids fold/hang up/put away all their clean laundry and then made them seperate their dirty laundry. Tomorrow I'll be mean because I make them put it in the washer & dryer.
ETA: I'm also mean because it's 69 degrees out & I won't let them in the pool.

Hmmm...not so mean today, but a few days ago dd5 proclaimed that "you are always mean to me and I'm going leave and find a different family that is never mean to me and never gives me time outs or tells me no when I want to do stuff." -She got sent to bed early for throwing a full out temper tantrum on the sidewalk in front of our house.

I'm a mean mom because I won't let my DS13 stay at a party until 1am (AM!!!!) tomorrow night. Are kids crazy nowadays????????

I was a mean mom today because I:
1) only allowed dd to read one chapter of "Little Bear" before taking her nap which was already 2 hrs late.
2) Turned the car radio from the Disney song CD to get the news. The HORROR! I haven't been able to hear hard news in weeks - who knows what the heck is going on!!

I'm the meanest mom today because I didn't take my DS6 outside swimming when we got home today - after going out to lunch (with ice cream for dessert), to the movies (with popcorn and soda which is a huge deal as a snack), to the mall where he got new sneakers to celebrate his last day of school. I am EXHAUSTED! lol.

I'm a mean mom today because

1) I ruined the fun as I made my 10yo son come in while it was "a perfectly sunny day out" just because there was a severe t-storm 1/2 mile away headed right for him... and NO the front step was not "good enough" for him and his buddies to hang out on to watch the storm

2) I'm making chore & rules lists for the kids for while I'm off at work to be implemented NOW :rotfl:

I am mean mom today because I told 10DS and his 4 friends that they couldn't play hide and seek IN the house today while I was outside at our garage sale.

I was a mean mom today because I wouldn't let DS 11 watch sponge bob and I told him he had to pick up his dirty clothes before he could play his gameboy. He then threw a fit and said he didn't want to live here if I was going to make him clean because he was "on vacation from school". So I gave him a suitcase and told him if he needed help packing to let me know :lmao: :rotfl: It's amazing how fast the room got clean after that :lmao:

Can I play as a mean dad?

Did not allow DD5 to go next door and play until she finished her lunch.

Took away DS7 gameboy because he would not listen and go clean his room.

Started cleaning kids room with a trash bag.

Then made kids get out of pool because T-storms were coming. Actually DW and mean teamed on that one.

Two unhappy kids so all in all a good day!:rotfl:

Love it - I am not the only Mom that uses that trick. My ds(4) told me the other day when we were in Lowes shopping that I was not a good mom because I yelled at him for hitting his sister in the eye. He said that he wanted a new family so I said be careful of what you wish for, maybe another family will have more rules that I do. Then, I told him to look around and pick out his new family and as I move away I said "I guess we will not need to worry about what colors and carpet to put in his new bedroom." He stood in the middle of Lowes and cried, and cried, and cried. When he realized that I was not going to move back to get him, he came running up and crying that he wanted to go home with me. His tune changed very fast.

I made the 18yo deposit her paycheck and not cash it..you know once its in their pocket its as good as spent,
and I refused to let the 9yo go to her friend's house until she acutally made an effort to clean her room.

Ohhh, I have to join in. This was fun to read.

I'm a mean mom because...

I wouldn't let DD9 have over a friend (again) to spend the night (you'd think she can't be by herself at all!)

I wouldn't let DD3.5 have a pudding at almost 10:30 last night (yes, she was still up!)

I wouldn't let DD3.5 have 5 things at the Dollar Tree instead of the three that I told her when we went there!

I changed the cable plan and got basic because we watch too much tv at our house...no Disney channel and Nick...you would have thought my DD9 had been shot! (Okay, now I'm feeling a little bad about this and may have to give in...plus I'm missing my HGTV!)
Oh, I could go on and on!

I am a mean Mom because.....I made my DD10 empty and reload the dishwasher!! What did you do today that was "mean"???

Put Ds (12) on punishment for using language that would make a sailor blush.

Love this thread!!

I am a mean mom today because:

1. Made dd 13 get off the computer ("I just got on here"... HELLO it's been over an hour) to vacuum/clean her room.

2. Didn't take ds 10 to buy (yet another) Super Soaker!!!!

Yesterday I wouldn't let DD12 ride the motor scooter that belongs to neighbor across the street. I am "so unfair" because she "knows how to be safe."

Not yesterday, but recently, I wouldn't buy DD23 a video ipod for her birthday. She and her two sisters all have birthdays within a week. No way I could spend $300 a piece on them in one week's time.

Because I went out and bought my dd12 new shorts last night and did not buy my dd8 any! (she got 2, yes 2, new shipments of summer clothes last week! so much easier to buy for!) When she threw a fit, my dh said here we bought you this, and handed over a box of crystal light drink packets! Which, may I add, really made us MEAN for teasing!!!:rotfl:

My dd12 thinks I am mean for ANYTHING that I say! Must be the age! Good Morning are even fighting words! HaHa:rotfl2:

It is beautiful weather here today, and NO ONE leaves the house or turns on computers, TV's, radios or answers phones until their chores are done! To my satisfaction.

Oh yeah, I won't let 13 year old buy clothes at Limited Too, and I won't get her a cell phone.

I'm a mean mom b/c I got out of bed this morning.

I got out of bed b/c my DD4nextmonth was yelling "DADDY! DADDY!". When I got up, she said, "I was trying to let you sleep. Why did you get up? You're not supposed to be up." I told her, "I got up b/c you were yelling for your daddy." Then little miss smarty pants said, "But I didn't yell 'MOMMY'!"

I am a mean mom because "I told DD3 and DD6 that if they pinched each other one more time that I was leaving them with their Nana and Papaw while their father and I go to Myrtle Beach ALONE in 2 days"!!! UGHHHH!!!!

I'm a mean mom today because... well... no reason yet but I'm sure there will be one, I just am.

I am a mean mom because "I told DD3 and DD6 that if they pinched each other one more time that I was leaving them with their Nana and Papaw while their father and I go to Myrtle Beach ALONE in 2 days"!!! UGHHHH!!!!

They're just practicing for playing with the crabs mom. :rotfl: I'll never forget picking the best spot and laying my blanket down in the sand (I was 18) only to wake up and find a HUGE crab hole newly dug out right by my head (I was covered in sand flung by the critter) :rotfl:

Crabs & MB - they just go together. Say HI to the dragon flies (size of small aircraft) for me.
