I am a mean Mom because.....I made my DD10 empty and reload the dishwasher!! What did you do today that was "mean"???

I made DS10 get on shoes to go to swimming lessons, BEFORE he finished his video game.

I made DD put away the Gameboy so we could go to HER dance recital.

Gosh, so many to choose from...

I wouldn't let 3yo DS take another boy's crayons away.

I made 11yo DD wear a skirt to 5th grade graduation (which was a compromise, I wanted her to wear a dress, she went with a skirt and polo shirt).

I made 9yo DS walk his kindergartener brother to school this morning.

I made 8yo DS and 6yo DS turn off the playstation immediately after they ignored my warning of: If you two continue to fight and yell at each other while you're playing that game we're going to turn it off. You would've thought I was beating them to hear the tantrum 6yo DS was throwing, which brings me to my next mean mom...

I sent 6yo DS to his room to calm down from his tantrum.

I told Dd [20 yr. old ] it was 10 minutes before she was due at WORK!!

She was still on her computer, oh the Attitude, you would have thought I told her, she had to do the Dishes, take out the trash, and feed her Cat!!

Kids....I can't wait till she has kids!!!! :confused3

I told DS12 to clean his room and no computer or video games til it's done!!

I was mean becuase I made my 11 year old cut his own pancake yesterday:eek: ---as my son told me yesterday "daddy alwayscuts it Up"

I get so tired of being the "mean" parent ---I want to be the "FUN" one.

Sadly my husband currently has that "role"--and won't give it up without a fight:rotfl2:

I make them clean their rooms, take out garbage, dust etc.

I said, "no one sleeps over tonight, I want to wake up in my own house with no guests tomorrow." Gosh, there are always kids here. You'd think I ordered them in front of a firing squad. There were eye rolls, sighs and slumped shoulders the rest of the night. Those kids were here from 10am to 10pm. This morning, I'm having coffee, my couches have no kids and there is only one child in a bed here, mine.

I was afraid to post that my mean mom moment yesterday was not letting my 19 y.o. decide what I was cooking for dinner! She had a temper tantrum and didn't eat because it wasn't what she wanted. I thought by 19 they'd be grown out of the temper tantrums??? I wonder if she does that if the college cafeteria isn't serving her favorite foods? :confused3

Lets see......I made DD (19) clean her room (which, while bad was no where near as bad as DD-16's room). I also made DD (16) clean her room and bathroom before we needed to call HAZMAT in. I wouldn't buy DD (16) a new RAZR phone for $150+. After the phone incident DD (16) refused to speak to me and spent the remainder of the day in her room, which was a relief!

I made my DS pick up things he left out all over the house. Nothing new there.
When my kids tell I am mean I always tell them I made an A in Mean Mom School. I would hate to waste that education.lol

I was mean because I made my kids pick up their rooms before they were allowed to goof off and because I wouldn't let them have freezie pops for breakfast.

well, today i am a great mom-they are all still sleeping :rotfl:

BUT yesterday i was a mean mom because

I asked my 11 year dd to vacuum the family room-she was MAD
I asked my 13 ds to pick up the full toilet paper roll our puppy tore up all over the basement-WOW-it took him forever
I told my 16 dd that she could not go to a sleepover on saturday night-AND she said OK

I am mean mom and proud of it....

I knew I wasn't the only mean one on this board. Thanks for sharing....I love it!!!

Sorry ladies, you may be mean, but I'm the "meanest Mom ever" according to DD6 because I asked her to try to straighten up her room today.

This made me laugh today because as 7 yr.old dd got on bus for last day of school she screams "YOUR THE MEANEST MOM EVER".

Background: As the bus is rumbling down towards us, she asks to take her brand new webkinz (gift from her best friend yesterday) to school.
There is no backpacks today and it's the last day and dd constantly forgets stuff, so I say no.

Boy am I going to be "mean" after school because that just gets me mad when she pulls that stuff when I can't send her to her room.

I'm thinkin no webkinz on computer today for talking like that to me.

I freaking love this thread.

"I am a mean mom because I expect my DS13 to shower daily and actually use soap!" LOL

With 4 kids, the list is endless. I am the meanest.

I made DD-13 feed the animals (2 cats and 2 dogs) again after I found out that she had given them all cheese for breakfast. Yes, CHEESE. Lots and lots of cheese. Then later, mean mom that I am, I made her clean up the mess one of them made when they hurled their CHEESE breakfast!

This same child (my youngest of 4) used to tell me all the time that I was the meanest mom in the world. I always responded with "Hold that though while I go look for the 1-800 number so you can vote for me. You know, I am up for the "meanest mom in the world" award. With your one vote, I think I might really have a shot at it!"

Now she just glares at me and proclaims "You hate me" as stalks off. It's these little humorous moments that make it all worthwhile!
