Just back this week from a great week at Disney. We split three nights at the Polynesian and three nights at the Yacht Club. I requested Fiji third floor marina view through my AAA TA and that is what I got. I checked in with castmember Lawrence who coincidently checked me in when I stayed last July. He is excellent !!!! Fiji has just been renovated and it is a great location. Love those new T.V's !!! The walk to everything is quick and easy.
You can't beat the Polynesian for its location and transportation. The monorail is always 5 minutes away. Be sure to check with a CM to see if the front seat is open. We found all cm to be friendly and helpful. The quiet pool is also nice if the main pool is too crowded. Also if you are celebrating any birthdays, you can call room service and have a birthday package set up in your room. I had this done for my twelve year old daughter and she absolutely loved it. For about thirty four dollars you get a cake, balloons,
hats, blowers, all set up in your room. I just called that morning of and it was in our room by one in the afternoon. Great memory for kids thinking Mickey has remembered them on their birthdays. Any questions, let me know......

Sounds like you had a wonderful time at the Poly :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc .
How did you like the Yacht Club??

This is great to hear! I made the same exact request. I so hope we get it now!!

Glad you enjoyed the Polynesian. Fiji is certainly getting lots of great reviews lately. :flower:

Yeah! So glad you loved Fiji! That's our favorite longhouse too.

I am reconsidering my original building request of Samoa. I have 2 little kids that go to bed somewhat early. Was there a lot noise from the marina or the Luau in your room? They also sometimes nap so I'm just concerned about how loud it all is.

Small world...my family and i were just there too (second floor marina view, room 2313)...we had a great time...just got home yesterday and already booked a trip for February....can't wait...!!!!!

I wouldn't worry about the noise. It seems once the sliding doors are closed it is very quiet in your room. The marina is basicly closed after dark with just a few of the party boats going out. It was fun to sit on the balcony and watch the boats go out and also the monorail go through the Contemporary.

I also loved the Yacht Club. At first I thought it would be too "stuffy" after the casualness of the Polynesian but it was far from that. The castmembers were all so nice and friendly and the location is super......
