Fiji House at the Poly??

What is this building like on the marina side. The good and the bad please! What is the noise like? Traffic?? Good views?? Thanks all

We stayed in Fiji in Dec 2002 - We LOVED it!! We paid for a garden view, but you get a view of the marina & the volcano pool. We were on the third floor in the closest corner to the main bldg. It was very convenient & close to the main bldg for pop reiflls & catching the monorail & close to the volcano pool. Maybe it was because we were on the 3rd floor & it was a somewhat slower time of year - but we didn't have any problems with noise during our entire stay. If we are ever lucky enough to stay at the Polynesian again - we will definitely vote for Fiji again - have a great time!

I second that! There is nothing bad about Fiji. Either side has a great view. I would request 3rd floor though to get a balcony.

Sounds like we stayed in the same room as arizonacolbys
last month. Figi is a great building...beautiful view and very
convenient location. The only noise we encountered was
when the Luau let out around 10:00 or so. We would
definitely stay there again.

I'll jump on that band wagon too... it's a great building and you get some GREAT! views at a garden view price.. you just can't go wrong with Fiji

I just wanted to add one thing. Fiji is a great view and is in a good location for getting to the GCH. The only problem I had being over on the other side of the marina was walking around the marina every time I wanted to go to the pool or the motor launch to the MK. Not that it was a long walk. I just like being over on the other side of the marina myself. Fiji is still one of my top 5 buildings to be in. I never found the noise to be an issue over there myself.

Do any of the Figi room have a view towards the castle? If so, which ones? Thanks for all your help and advice it was invaluable for our last trip to the Poly. We are planning another trip this Sept.

You can see the lagoon and the Contemporary on the side of Fiji that faces the marina and Volcano pool and the other side you can see Luau cove and the GF but there are no rooms in Fiji that you can view the castle. This is why it is not considered a lagoon view room.
