Although I didn't watch it, I recorded it. Now I can't wait to watch it! Knowing who won doesn't take away from my interest-I love to watch the performances.
How has parking been at the coliseum? Did you take the bus from 4 Seasons? My DS8's class went on Monday. He said it was "soooooo booorrring" but he was glued to the tv last night telling us about the girls that pick up the stuffed animals and flowers.![]()
I've been a skating fan for over 20 years, so I've been watching online (Icenetwork) and on television.
Becky! We've been driving in each day and haven't had any problems. We're parking in the VIP parking though closer to the main rink.
My DD is a figure skater. She's at a school dance tonight, so I'm DVR'ing it so we can watch it together tomorrow. She's a huge Rachael Flatt fan and has been for years. Here's a pic of her and her friends w/ Rachael which was taken a few years ago when Rachael was competing at the senior level. Some of the other skaters teased Rachael when I took this picture thinking it was funny that Rachael had a fan club. Well, look at her now! My DD and her friends knew talent when they saw it. I told DD back then that Rachael was so good that she'd be in the Olympics one day, and she was!

Did your sister find Evan Lysacek?
She did. Got some nice pictures too.
Johnny Weir just got the Reader's Choice award from Skating Magazine.

I bet your sister was very excited! How cool for her
What a great interview Johnny gave when accepting his award. That was the last thing I saw before Icenetwork went off the air. I can't wait to see the final 2 groups on tv.
Are you going to stay for the exhibition tonight?
I feel bad for Jeremy Abbott.
I do too, bit it's been a competition where decisions are by a fraction of a point.
Right now, I don't know who's more excited-Ryan or John Coughlin (pairs champion). He was jumping up and down and ran out to the kiss and cry after Ryan won.
I feel bad for Jeremy too but I'm so excited for Ryan. It'll be interesting to see who USFS sends to Worlds, Four Continents and Junior Worlds.
Richard Dornbush (2nd place) won the junior grand prix this season. He was seventh after the short, though, so there might be concerns about consistency.
Becky!
I've been involved in the sport my whole life. I wouldn't miss watching Nationals for anything. I'm watching the Mens freeskate (early groups) on Icenetwork right now. I'll be watching the final goups on tv later today.
You found me! I can't believe I missed the men's free skate on TV! For some dumb reason I thought it was on tonight, sigh. I missed Ross, and Ryan!

You'll get your chance. Just saw the team for Worlds. Ryan, Richard Dornbush, and Ross Miner. None of them are on the Four Continents team though. That's Jeremy, Armin M, and Adam Rippon.
We were there in Greensboro last night for the Ladies. My DD skates and she was so excited!
My dh was at home and was supposed to be recording it to DVD but he messed it up, the disc wasn't in right. I took this as another opportunity to ask for us to move into the 21st century and get DVR, but no....
Anyway, she really still wants to see the Ladies freeskate televised since we didn't get to hear any of the comments. Also we were so far back we didn't see details close up- though we were right behind Scott Hamilton, and had a great view of the back of his head!
We don't have a subscription to Ice Network, but I will get one if she can watch Nationals on demand with it.
