I am waiting with baited breath to hear if you used the dishwasher or not at OKW! That was a fun thread, just trying to revive it here! I know you already gave an answer in the other thread, but wanted to "highlite" it here!

Okay okay.....

NO we did not use the dishwasher.

I know everybody was concerned about the eggs and bacon. My father cooked that morning. I told him the pan was going to be hard to clean...so he filled the pan up with water and automatic dishwashing powder and boiled it over the stove. After that he put it in the sink and let it soak all day. By the time we got back that evening he said it came right off and was a piece of cake to clean.

We only used one knife to cut and we washed that by hand. We used all of our paperplates napkins and plastic forks, knives and spoons. Also we used our styrofoam cups. It was really convenient. Would definitely do the same thing again.

Laziness is when you DON't have a dishwasher at home (me) and take advantage for not having to do a single dish by hand!

Glad you had a good time. We just back last night ourselves. Wasn't the weather beautiful? Not so bad back here at home either. 70 degrees in NYC when we stepped off the plane.

Gorgeous weather. It was really hot and humid on that Friday after Thanksgiving...but after that it cooled down and was fantastic. Not one drop of rain the entire time. I was afraid of this because the forecast lately had shown rain ALOT. We got really lucky. I think we must have brought some of that beautiful weather back up here too! As long as it stays like this I'll be happy! Makes me feel not so miserable for having to come back to NY.

i too was down there, weather was superb, but coming back here showed me how brown and dirty everything is. Oh well, reality!
