Hi BB compadres--
Don't know where else to vent about this, but I posted on FB to my friends that I had 2 RT tix for sale--cheap. I had some Southwest tix I couldn't use by the expiration date, and I wanted someone to get some cheap airfare, and to offset the cost of the full cost tix I had to buy for Pres. Week.
I went with a first come, first serve, mentality, and told the first respondent if would be 200 total for 2 round trip tix to San Diego--from the East Coast. It was for a really good cause. Her son is shipping off to Afghanistan and she and her other son got to see him before he left, so I feel good about that.
I made the ressies, changed them when they didn't work for her, got the tix, emailed the confirmations, emailed to let her know she should book 24 hrs in advance, etc etc. No response. She definitely went (called SW for confirmation) and by her FB statuses, I know they had a great time.
So here's my thing. I am happy she got to see her son, but I feel taken advantage of. No call, no email, no request to pay over time (which I would totally be OK with), just no contact whatsoever. I have no intention of contacting her again, and I am not in financial jeopardy over this, but I guess I'm just wondering how anyone could do this. This is someone I see a few times a year. She may be thinking that the tix were "free"--they were SW points that were going to expire, but I had eight other people willing to pay for them and went with her because she was first. Thanks for letting me vent, but advice is also welcome.
