My dates are from June 12th thru June 19th and she sent me a confirmation email through our Pay Pal email and yes the resort information was on there as well. She sent a seperate email to me saying that often WBC wont recognize a persons name (reservation) until 15 to 30 days before arrival so to make my building request then. I think its kinda strange that it would take over 3 months for WBC to have my reservation in their system!
The confirmation you described is just like the ones I have recieved a dozen times and never had a problem.
I've read over in the "We loooooove Bonnet Creek" thread that Bonnet Creek doesn't get guest info into their computers until a couple of weeks out, so this seems pretty normal as well.
I can speculate that right now your reservation is held in a different Wyndham computer system and it will be transfered to the Bonnet Creek system as your reservation gets closer.
I myself have never called Bonnet Creek or Wyndham ahead of time to check on a reservation or make a room request, so I can't speak from my own experience there. (I do request areas of the resort when I check in)
From what you have described, your experience of buying a reservation seems perfectly normal and in order.
Remember, those nerves you are feeling are a big reason why Bonnet Creek is so affordable. The first few times I used alternative methods to book places to stay -- renting DVC points and Bonnet Creek -- I was a bit concerned, but everything went smoothly and now I would be hard-pressed to stay in Orlando via a traditional route.
If you are really stressed out, make a backup reservation somewhere you can cancel, or just come up with a list of some backup places to stay. In the worst-case scenario -- you show up and they haven't heard of you -- remember you are in Orlando, with tons of great places to stay. The risk is low, the savings you get by staying at Bonnet Creek is tremendous.
