Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

Glad you had fun at Chef Mickey's! We've only been for breakfast, but I want to try dinner sometime!

Me too! We usually go here for brunch on one of our "break days". They have some goooooooddddd cheesy potato casserole thing!

Sounds delicious! My aunt makes the best cheesy potatoes and I look forward to our visit to Ohio every year as that is the only time I get to have them.

Just got all caught up reading your report!:thumbsup2

I've been to CM's three times, once for dinner in the 90's and then once each for breakfast and dinner and more recent years. I do think the food was quite a bit "fancier" on my first trip, but I've never had a bad meal there. It certainly isn't haute cuisine, but it's just fine. And, I've always had good character interaction there. :thumbsup2

Yep, just fine is a good description!

I've never done chef mickey's for dinner, but it looks really yummy! I might have to check it out one of these trips, an early character dinner sounds just about right with a toddler.

It must have been nice to have such a relaxing evening. I can't imagine how nice it must be to know you're at Disney for two whole weeks. I have a hard time relaxing on short vacations, but knowing I have all that time ahead of me would be just heavenly! :cloud9:

Oh and so funny about Smallville! My DH used to LOVE that show, and we watched it together when we were dating. I think we stopped watching around 2005 or 2006 when it started getting really off the wall, but we enjoyed it, and have the first few seasons on DVD also! :thumbsup2

I know exactly the guy you're talking about who escorted you to your table. I had him once. He kinda reminded me of Carl from UP. You're right about how it looked as if he should be at home. He looked way beyond the age limit of when you should be working. I remember he talked really slow and it felt like he was never going to leave us after we were seated. Good times

Sucks about the rash. At least you know the cause. DBF gets something similar whenever he goes to Italy but I don't think it's from anything he puts on his skin. Maybe it's heat rash?

It was nice to not worry about time since we were there for two whole weeks. It also felt a bit strange since we are used to the longer and busier days.

 Seasons 5, 6, and 7 were not the best but it got much better in Season 8 since both Clark and Lois were at the Daily Planet and Lana and Lex were out of the picture and then seasons 9 and 10 were fantastic!

 Poor old guy!

I would have guessed heat rash too if it happened all over but it was just my face and it took days for it to go away. I am 99.9% sure it was the sunscreen combined with the sun, sweat and heat. It was terrible though, I already hate how I look and the rash just made me even more self-conscious. I am just glad it wasn't super obvious in all the pictures.

For you DBF, it could be the climate change.

Hi, there! I finally got caught up and just wanted to say I really like your pictures, especially of CSR. I have always thought I'd like to stay there someday and your pictures are convincing me even more! Nice job so far, can't wait to read more.

Thank you, I am glad that you are enjoying the report. :goodvibes CSR was lovely and I would recommend it to anybody.

Awww you shouldn't hate how you look! Of course a rash or a huge pimple will make you feel gross but really you'd be surprised what people notice. Many times I've complained to Bubba about a pimple but when I go to show her she can never find it. That's how little noticeable it is! You're a very pretty lady and you should keep telling yourself that! we are all beautiful in our own way. I could go on and on about what I hate about my body but no matter what they will always be that "something" that bugs me. I'm slowly trying to accept how I am. As long as I feel healthy, eat right and keep reasonably active I feel better and better about myself. I hope this helps you too

It is just something I can not help, I have always been like this. I take pride in my academics rather than my looks. :goodvibes In fact, I can be a bit too vain when it comes to my "brains".

YES! I win!!! I finally got it right. Do I get a prize? I know it took me four tries and everything but nobody else guessed it. :snooty:

Winning.

Great Update !!Soooo it was Chef Mickeys !!!!!!I've eraten dinner twice at CM!!I agree it's okay !! My favorite buffet is still CP!!for dinner , for breakfast it is Boma !!!

Nice review of Chef Mickey's for dinner. I'm trying to decide whether to add an ADR to Chef Mickey's for our next trip. Count this as one on the + side.

I've been on vacation but I am caught back up!
I'm excited to see the new interactive que for HM! Looks neat!
I know how you feel about the rash. Everytime I go to Disney I end up with a rash on the inside of my ankles-its the weirdest thing and only happens there. :confused3

Looks like you had a nice time at Chef Mickey's! :thumbsup2 I do agree with the fact that walking inside of the Contemporary it doesn't look amazing, bland as you said, but I must say, I would definitely stay there, since itis very pretty. (: The food at Chef Mickey's looks quite good, especially the Mac n Cheese :goodvibes The dessert looked very good too. Awesome character pictures! :D Sorry you got a rash on this trip, that doesn't sound like fun, but you still got through it :) Can't wait to read about rope drop the next day! :mickeyjum
