Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

Your lunch looks yummy. We ate there last year and I wasn't thrilled with it. We waited forever to get in, the waiting area was packed so there was nowhere to sit while waiting, and our waitress keep forgetting about us. However I love there menu options and the food was good. I think we need to give it another shot one day.

You should definitely give it another try. I always make our ADR's for when they open to avoid the waiting/busy and packed restaurant. :thumbsup2

Nice job of pole dancing Beth! :thumbsup2

We love 50's PT! That is the one place the boys want to know if we are eating at every trip. We've had the chicken pot pie, the fried chicken (although I don't ever remember the southern greens being so yellow and 'kernelly') and the Stacked Sandwich, which are all really good, but the next time you go you have got to try the Pot Roast!!! :woohoo: That was the first thing I ordered since so many people had commented how good it was, and it definitely didn't disappoint!!! :goodvibes

Last time we were there Drew ordered the brownie I think. We all tasted it and it was really good.

As for the servers, I don't give them a choice to play or not........ :rolleyes1

 Mom was the worst out of all of us, she kept putting her elbows on the table. Tsk tsk.

Great tribute to Rosie! I hope that one day I can call a sequence on ToT lame. I might just mess my pants the first time I go back on after such a long time not going on it. Food looks good at 50s Prime Time :thumbsup2

 Come on Jen, Canadians are tough, get back on that horse! ToT can be lots of fun but I understand not liking it if you don't like the sensation of dropping.

No way Dearie!!! We are meeting at DHS just so we can ride ToT together and post the redneck ride picture of us both doing the :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

I am headed to Coronado Springs in August for a WDW trip to celebrate my 21st birthday with my mom and I got SO excited looking at your pictures!:lovestruc

I've never stayed at Coronado so seeing all the different details and areas was really nice. Thank you for posting such great pictures! Now I am inspired to do some research and figure out which of the areas we should request!

Alek quickly proved her wrong.

Good Job Alek!:thumbsup2

Erich ordered Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken - Served with Mashed Potatoes, Chicken gravy, and Southern greens

I think the greens turned yellow;)

Delicious! I think we all enjoyed lunch here and we were pleased with the service and quality of the food.

See this is why I think we need to the regular DDP. THis is one of the restaurants I missed last time when I was sick:sad1:

I think you will be happy wherever you room ends up being located but I really like the location we had. :thumbsup2

I have lots more resort photos to post so stay tuned! ;)

 I'm pretty sure that Erich requested the corn instead of the greens after I warned him that the greens were reported to be nasty.

We paid for everything OOP. There is no way we each ate $50 in food everyday. I would only do DDP if I were getting it for "free". I just don't see the value. :confused3

Hello, there-Just wanted to sub, now I have to go back and do some reading!

What is this, a Wednesday update??? Awesome.

So, you don't have that many antics to report from 50's? Handwashing? I noticed none of you really had veggies...except for the corn.

LOVED your ToT pictures! Seeing them makes me feel like I'm there again. I love those early morning walk-on rides.

How early does Starring Rolls close?

 Yes, I have been eager to write lately, thus the frequent updates. :thumbsup2

Nope, not too many antics other than the scolding for the elbows on the table. The server was funny though, when he took the family photo he acted insulted that he wasn't included as a member of the family. :rotfl:

I think they said 5pm? It may have actually been earlier, maybe 3? I remembering worrying that I might not make it back before they closed.

Why must more TRs taunt me with the deliciousness of Ice Cream?!?! I think Ice Cream is just out to get me at this point :P But seriously that looked good and Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken as well, yum! The more reason to go to 50's Prime Time Cafe. :thumbsup2 And I'm sorry you didn't have a great drop sequence on Tower of Terror... still, the ride is awesome with longer drop sequences or shorter ones. Love that ride! :teeth:

Looks like you guys had a fun filled morning! I love doing ToT and RnRC while everyone else is still waiting in line for TSM fastpasses!

Sorry you got a lame drop sequence, but at least you didn't have to wait long in line!

I love 50's PT! We went for the first time during a soft opening for the DHS (then MGM) park, and have been fans ever since. I echo the earlier suggestion of trying the pot roast next time, its to die for! I've been trying for years to get mine to turn out as tasty and I have not succeeded yet. I wonder what the secret is, maybe pixie dust?

Yes, ToT is always fun as you never know what you are going to get. I would have liked some bigger drops though...

We had some awesome luck with wait times throughout the trip. There were a few rides where we had to wait but for the most part during the two weeks the waits were fairly short at WDW and Universal. :thumbsup2 Was that due to the crowd levels or my awesome planning, who knows? ;)

Perhaps, you will just have to wait and see. :rolleyes1

 We didn't see anybody subjected to that sort of "punishment".

Just wondering you are all saying pole dancers. Mom always avoided answering this question during the trip but isn't pole dancing not family appropriate? Isn't pole dancing just a nicer way of saying the naughty dance (If you know what I mean *coughstripperscough*)?

I must be right because if you put in pole dancing in Google it is definitely not family friendly. Shame on you all for put such slanderous pictures on this forum.

I think we had the same sequence on tower of terror- three short drops on both our rides.

Great thought to set your adr's for opening! Both times we have eaten at 50's we had to wait a while.

Erich, Erich, Erich...popcorn::Let me tell you son that pole dancing no longer carries the stigma that it use to. And yes, if you google you will also find that....Pole Dancing has come a long way... and has emerged as a form of performing art, a combination of dancing and gymnastics. It involves dancing with a vertical pole, a similar pole (Chinese poles) is used in cabaret/circus and stage performance in a non-erotic environment, in which context the style and moves are very different.

Advanced pole dancing requires significant strength, flexibility and endurance. The dancer(s) may simply hold the pole, or use it to perform more athletic moves such as climbs, spins, and body inversions. Upper body and core strength are important to proficiency, which takes time to develop.[1]

Pole dancing is regarded as a recognized form of exercise[2] and can be used as both an aerobic and anaerobic workout.[3] Recognized schools and qualifications are being developed as pole dancing increases in popularity. Erich, there’s evidence that some consider pole dancing so mainstream and non-suggestive as to be the athletic equivalent to eating a banana. There are actually dance studios right here in Canada and England and I am sure in other countries as well that offer pole dancing for kids. The one in England is called “Little Spinners,” and accepts kids as young as 3.

Gezz, can't mom fit in a bit of clean and innocent exercise while on vacation. :rolleyes1:sad2: I think it great that Disney has incorporated SO many poles throughout the parks, so that a few of us while waiting can take in a bit of exercise, think about it not to much different then those ol' monkey bars found at playgrounds.

And as for the boys and Lessa pole dancing, it is up to them to reveal. What happens at Disney stays at Disney. I have been sworn to secrecy.
