sounds good so far :thumbsup2 we stayed at POP in Feb and the drink selection was the same no juice unless you paid for it just hot chocolate, coffee, tea, and soda.. thankfully i like fountain soda so it was fine for me :)

I make strange breathing noises ( sorry I cannot really describe it, as I am asleep.
So you're saying you do a lot of heavy breathing Beth???:rolleyes1

I don't snore either! I've never heard myself, not even once......... Never ceases to amaze me how children can lie about their parents like that!!! :sad2:

You probably didn't sleep good because you miss the rain! :rotfl:
I'd rather have rain that heat, anyday. 101 here in Vegas today.
Tomorrow, 105. :sad2:

I agree 100%, repeatedly during the trip , I kidded with the kids on how they were picking on me, snoring, drinking... oh, the list goes now.

I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one who made time for Survivor during our trip. It drove my DH nuts. But I just sent him up to the CL lounge for a beer and that made him happier. :thumbsup2

Sorry to hear you slept so badly. I love the early morning pics you took around your resort. The resorts are always so beautiful in the mornings! Sadly I didn't taken any early morning walks this trip because I slept pretty well and didn't get up 'til the alarm went off in the mornings. But maybe sleeping well while you're in Disney isn't such a bad thing after all. ;)

I'm surprised after the delays getting to TSM that the standby wait time was only 5 minutes!!! So glad we don't have any issues with people snoring in our room while we are at Disney....... :rolleyes1

 I was tempted to just go outside and spend the night sleeping in one of the hammocks. :rolleyes1

I still say to this very day, I do not snore!!! You have corrected yourself on several occasions and say that it is not true snoring, but that I make strange breathing noises ( sorry I cannot really describe it, as I am asleep. Lessa says it is more like a squeal...Lessa you describe...

No you do have a regular snore and then you breathe really heavily and then sometimes you do your weird "ehhhhhhhhhhh" squeal thing. :headache:

Days and Days and Days of Arnie, and when it wasn't Arnie it was 24/7 Casie Anthony. What is the world coming to?? This is why I like living in Canada ( I am an America, born and raised), when we turn on the tv and watch a Canadian news show we hear things like Mary Brown's cow died LOL... we live in a small town. We get very little coverage on crime, murder, cheating spouses, accidents, etc... We get all that by watching US stations.

That is just a bit of an exaggeration, certainly our news is not as depressing as some American news but we still hear about bad stuff, just not as much.

That is too bad, POP used to have apple juice, wonder why they got rid of it? :confused3

Yes, it must have been the lack of rain that was the problem! Part of it was probably that this was a much more relaxed trip so we weren't completely exhausted every night.

I wouldn't have minded some rain every now and then but I was every happy we were not rained on the whole time.

But it's a drrryyyyy heat!!! :rotfl:

For once I totally agree !!I have never heard myself snore either soooo they are all lieing !!!:lmao:

 That must mean I don't snore either! Problem with that, I started the trend in our family of recording the snoring to prove that a person snores so now we have all been recorded at one point or another and can't dispute the fact.

:rotfl: I know what a chicken roasting in an oven feels like! :rotfl:

:lmao:

Couldn't miss Survivor!

I would gladly have woken up early if I had slept soundly during the night, sadly that was not the case. :sad2: I like walking around early in the morning when nobody else is awake, when I went to Niagara Falls that is when I took my best pictures. :thumbsup2

Hey Lessa, would it weird you out if I told you I had a dream with you and Erich in it last night? We were at WDW, probably MK, and you were taking pictures and Erich was dancing around with a character I think...Yeah....Maybe I spend too much time on the DIS, but I think a trip with you guys would be SO MUCH FUN.

I LOVE your pictures!! Those family pictures are nice too. Did you set up your cam on something or ask someone to take a picture? Andrew and I are considering getting those little tripods that can stick on any surface for when we travel together cause we hardly ever get any pics of the two of us.

Erich, love your adventures with the Canadian Postal workers! Especially the fist bump! It's uncanny that their base was right where you guys were staying! Thanks for saving us from those evil workers.

We just made use of stuff nearby like trash cans, light posts, boulders, etc.

All caught up... once again. So hard to stay on top of things these days.

That really stinks you never got any good sleep this time around. I know a Disney vacay isn't really the kind you expect to sleep well on, but sheesh- that sounded over the top annoying.

Great early morning pictures of the resort- such pretty lighting! :thumbsup2

Good thing I have all summer to sleep!

Totally loving this TR. Your brothers are a hoot!

Glad you are enjoying it. :goodvibes

May 12th continued

After our ride on Toy Story the line to get fastpasses was much more reasonable and we were able to get a return time of 12:30. :thumbsup2

Then we had to decide what to do next. After a few minutes of standing around we decide that we would head over to Rock N' Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror so that Alek and I could ride before the lines got too out of control.

On the way over Mom saw a pole and decided that she had to pay tribute to Rosie.

We separated and agreed to meet Mom and Erich at Starring Rolls once we were done.

First up was Rock N' Roller Coaster which had a minimal wait. We were able to pretty much walk right into the pre-show room and then waited in line for maybe 10 minutes after that. Most of the people were spread out towards the front and not in the back by the door so Alek and I "filled all available space" and slid right in next to the door. :rolleyes1

I love this ride, it is not the most extreme coaster but the fast takeoff and the ride through the dark make it so much fun.

There were construction walls up in the middle of Sunset Blvd. No idea what they were doing but they were down the next week.

IMG_0690.jpg

Next was Tower of Terror. The stand-by wait said 45 minutes but it was more like 15.

IMG_0691.jpg

IMG_0692.jpg

The drop sequence we ended up with was rather lame, only a few short drops but it was still fun.

IMG_0694.jpg

After that we met up with Mom and Erich at Starring Rolls, I checked with a CM to see what time they closed that day as I intended on returning to get a cupcake later but I knew that they closed early.

We had an ADR at 11:30 and it was just after 10. We decided to go see Muppetvision as we hadn't seen it since our 2007 trip. On the way we stopped and looked at the restaurant menu to make sure that the others wanted to eat there. It met with approval so that decision was made and off to Muppetvision to kill time until lunch.

While waiting for the show to start an older woman overheard Alek and Erich talking and she questioned their knowledge of the Muppets. Apparently she thought they would be too young to actually know who/what they are and to have seen the show. Alek quickly proved her wrong.

After Muppets was over it was just about time for lunch so we made our way back over to 50's Prime Time Cafe, this would be our first time eating there.

I checked in and requested a tv table and the request was granted. Our server was Cousin Richard. He was pretty good, not as outrageous as some of the other servers that I have read about but he still played the role and gave us a few laughs.

Drinks were ordered first. Mom ordered a drink, I think it must be the Electric Lemonade.

IMG_0700.jpg

I ordered the Mega-berry Smoothie - Raspberry puree and nonfat yogurt blended with Odwalla Berries GoMega (an excellent source of Omega-3). It was very good!

IMG_0701.jpg

We all enjoyed our entrees.

Mom ordered Grandma's Chicken Pot Pie - creamy mixture of chicken, mushrooms, carrots, celery, peas, and onions topped with a flaky pastry

IMG_0702.jpg

Erich ordered Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken - Served with Mashed Potatoes, Chicken gravy, and Southern greens (I believe that Erich asked for the corn instead of the greens)

IMG_0703.jpg

Alek ordered the Stacked Sandwich - Your choice of smoked turkey or ham on seven grain bread, lettuce, tomatoes, Swiss cheese and mayonnaise, served with a house salad or potato chips

IMG_0704.jpg

I ordered Cousin Eric's Char-grilled Chicken Sandwich - Marinated chicken breast topped with cheddar, grilled onions, BBQ sauce, lettuce, and tomato on a Kaiser roll served with a House salad or French fries

IMG_0705.jpg

All the food was good although I did end up scraping the onions off the burger as I forgot to ask not to have them.

Alek, Erich and I decided to share a dessert and our cousin offered to take our picture. He acted insulted that he was not included in the photo as a "member of the family".

IMG_0706.jpg

Dad's Brownie Sundae - Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream, Hot Fudge, and Caramel topping

IMG_0708.jpg

Delicious! I think we all enjoyed lunch here and we were pleased with the service and quality of the food.

Your lunch looks yummy. We ate there last year and I wasn't thrilled with it. We waited forever to get in, the waiting area was packed so there was nowhere to sit while waiting, and our waitress keep forgetting about us. However I love there menu options and the food was good. I think we need to give it another shot one day.

Nice job of pole dancing Beth! :thumbsup2

We love 50's PT! That is the one place the boys want to know if we are eating at every trip. We've had the chicken pot pie, the fried chicken (although I don't ever remember the southern greens being so yellow and 'kernelly') and the Stacked Sandwich, which are all really good, but the next time you go you have got to try the Pot Roast!!! :woohoo: That was the first thing I ordered since so many people had commented how good it was, and it definitely didn't disappoint!!! :goodvibes

Last time we were there Drew ordered the brownie I think. We all tasted it and it was really good.

As for the servers, I don't give them a choice to play or not........ :rolleyes1
