Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

Great updates. After seeing your review (and Lidian's too!), I'm so glad we switched from Mama Melrose to 50's Prime Time. Your pictures have me very excited.

Love the "pole" pictures...too funny. Rosie should be proud yet again of another pole "lover."

Hey now! Don't bring me into this! :lmao:

I hope you enjoy 50's!

 Rosie is the sole reason they did that, Mom had been practically begging them to do it for Rosie since before the trip even started.

OMG I have a new favorite Bros pix !!!:rotfl2:The Pole Dancing ones are hysterical !!I am afraid if I attempted that last pose I might rupter something vital:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Beth I so agree Pole Dancing is a great form of excercise and it has become more and more popular I even hear it is to be an Olympic event ;)

Somehow sitting on a Pig's Lap has not caught on as much:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I knew you would enjoy this pictures, you can thank Mom for them since you wouldn't stop talking about it to them.

How funny that you guys (with no children) made it to HISTK, but we (with a toddler) never managed to get there. It was on our list, but someone (me!) was far too obsessed with getting on a Star Tours soft opening to waste time in a playground. I am such a mean mommy! :rotfl:

The Pole dancing pics are hilarious. I can only imagine what the people walking by were thinking! I'm sure it was something like "Those young men are real role models, fitting in time for exercise during a busy park day" :rotfl2:

I was really hoping for a Star Tours soft opening that day but sadly we did not have any luck with it. I can't blame you for being focused on Star Tours and not HISTK. :rotfl:

Yes, Alek and Erich are definite role models. :rotfl: I laughed when I saw the two girls sitting on the bench in the background of Alek's picture, they were probably seriously concerned for our mental health. ;)

Love it!!! Playing on the playground -- that's something we'd do, too. :rotfl2:

Absolutely love the brothers pole dancing. :lmao:

 I figured the playground would be a neat place to check out and that Alek and Erich would have fun in there. ;)

I took a picture of that mermaid statue- with Maya in it:scared1: I didn't even notice she was topless!

I love all of your family's pole pictures!

You probably made the right choice with skipping LMA- it always feels 20 degrees hotter in that stadium.

All I gotta say is :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::lmao::lmao::lmao:

I had a feeling that you would like that update. ;)

:lmao: I am not puritanical and am more than used to nudity, I am a nursing student after all, but it was surprising to see a topless mermaid statue. A topless statue in a museum, normal, in Europe, normal, in a Florida Disney park, unexpected! :rotfl:

I love all of your family's pole pictures!

I had a feeling that they would produce a few laughs.;)

You probably made the right choice with skipping LMA- it always feels 20 degrees hotter in that stadium.

I was glad Alek and Erich didn't want to see it as it is not my cup of tea.

Great Updates. The pole dancing pic is hilarious.

Glad you enjoyed them. :goodvibes

My DH is now on a mission to find The Little Mermaid statue on our next trip.:rotfl: I wonder what the people were thinking about your brothers pole dancing as they were walking by. The girls on the bench seem to be watching Alek.

I'm behind already! Good updating!:thumbsup2
I love Rock n Rollercoaster too! I think the music does it for me-I sing the whole ride! Just glad no one can hear me-not even myself! :rolleyes1
Thanks for the heads up about Starring Rolls closing early-I want to make sure I get a cupcake from there also!
Love all the Rosie tribute pics! I'd have to wear depends around your brothers! They are a mess!! :lmao:

Had to catch up on your last couple updates. Glad you enjoyed the Prime Time. We've gone there a few times and have always enjoyed it. Plus the entertainment is pretty amusing sometimes too.

Looks like a great day at the Studios!

I have never noticed the topless mermaid statue. :confused3

The pole dancing pictures are:lmao::rotfl:. I can't even imagine what I would have been thinking if I had walked by at that time though.

I would give just about anything to be walking by you all when your brothers were pole dancing!! :lmao:

I had no idea that they took volunteers for the Back Lot Tour--they didn't do that for our show. :confused3 That's a bummer too b/c it would have been much more interesting if there were people in "acting" during the simulation!

Nice to know I have your permission to continue. ;)
see you did wait till i gave you the go ahead to post.
:thumbsup2

and you did not dissapoint, nice pics especially the pole "exercising " ones...now if rose did that im sure she would get kicked out for sure.

 Leave it to a guy.

The people passing by probably thought we were lunatics although it all happened really quickly so no idea if it was even noticed.

I love the music on the coaster as well although I can not for the life of me remember what song was playing when we rode. :confused3

Yep, it was a pretty good day, things were going our way (aside from the early Toy Story mishap).

I have never noticed the topless mermaid statue. :confused3

The pole dancing pictures are:lmao::rotfl:. I can't even imagine what I would have been thinking if I had walked by at that time though.

If you had seen us you would have recognized the brothers and came over for a Dis meet. ;)

Yep, they usually take volunteers, makes it more fun, especially when the volunteers really get into their roles.

see you did wait till i gave you the go ahead to post.
:thumbsup2

 That's a new challenge for Rosie, Alek and Erich have raised park pole dancing to a new level. :thumbsup2

WOW those portions at 50's look huge! We have never eaten there but keep wanting to. I am thinking next time we will have far fewer character meals. ;)

Erich, Erich, Erich...popcorn::Let me tell you son that pole dancing no longer carries the stigma that it use to. And yes, if you google you will also find that....Pole Dancing has come a long way... and has emerged as a form of performing art, a combination of dancing and gymnastics.[/COLOR] It involves dancing with a vertical pole, a similar pole (Chinese poles) is used in cabaret/circus and stage performance in a non-erotic environment, in which context the style and moves are very different.......
Gezz, can't mom fit in a bit of clean and innocent exercise while on vacation. :rolleyes1:sad2: I think it great that Disney has incorporated SO many poles throughout the parks, so that a few of us while waiting can take in a bit of exercise, think about it not to much different then those ol' monkey bars found at playgrounds.

And as for the boys and Lessa pole dancing, it is up to them to reveal. What happens at Disney stays at Disney. I have been sworn to secrecy.

OMG This cracked me up! To me it sounds rather like the Billy Cosby piece where he justifies chocolate cake as "healthy and nutritious".... not that I, as a mom, would ever ever try to put a different and good spin on a potentially not so nice activity that I'd done:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rotfl2:.

Mom found a nice comfy place to sit and wait for us although she was worried the whole time that Alek and Erich would do something that would get us kicked out of the park. She has no faith!........

....
I'm not sure why I was lagging behind the others, probably messing around with my bag, but when I caught up to them Mom was trying to coerce the boys into pole dancing for Rosie.

Alek was very confused as to why Mom wanted them to behave in such a scandalous manner.

Since the mermaid statue they saw earlier proved that Disney is not so family friendly after all they gave into Mom's request.

Here was his attempt:

Erich's first attempt

Alek decided that those who can't do teach so he took on the job of being Erich's "coach"

Mom was satisfied that the boys had received their proper work out for the day because you know according to her pole dancing is a widely accepted and popular form of exercise for the whole family, nothing erotic about it...

Would we get kicked out of the park for our lewd behaviour or would we be allowed to continue on to the show? Stay tuned to find out!

well if you didn't get thrown out for the pole dancing:lmao::lmao:, then no way would HISTK playing get you tossed out. TOo funny!!!

I'm so glad that we were not witness to it there because then I'd have to stop Katie from wanting to pole dance too:scared1::laughing::rotfl:

Character meals are fun but regular table service meals can also be nice, especially if you get a fun/good server.

I can't believe you guys even managed to get into the playground! Well... I'm guessing if you didn't cause too big a disruption, it wouldn't've been a problem (unless there is something you aren't telling us...) Haha And that video of your brothers from 3 years back as volunteers in the show was HILARIOUS! Acting at its best :thumbsup2 Maybe they will reprise their role soon enough... LOL I love your Photopass pictures! I really want to get the Stitch one, so cool (: And what is with your family and pole dancing? I think it may have gone too far there LOL I'm sure you weren't kicked out, but I'm guessing it wasn't very pleasurable for some parents to watch, but we'll see. (;

Anybody is allowed into the playground, no requirement to have children with you so long as you are not disruptive. :thumbsup2

The pole dancing all traces back to Diser EnglishRose who posts on this thread. She started the pole dancing trend with one of her trip reports and since she and Mom are such good friends Mom was all about getting the family to pose for some pole dancing photos in tribute to her. Don't worry, I don't think we caused any parental distress among the guests, the time stamps on the photos show that the whole thing was completed in less than two minutes.

Too bad about your gun the first time on TSM, that happened to my DH on our last trip and he was G.R.U.M.P.Y.!! It made me happy cause it made it easier to beat him:laughing: !!

I  the family pics in HS, they're great!!

Pole dancing pics, too funny!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Did you make it to Starring Rolls? On our last trip we went to SR to get a cupcake, I got the Red Velvet Cheesecake and DH got the Butterfinger, DS got a brownie. I took 2 bites of mine, loved it, but went right back in to get the Peanut Butter Chocolate one too, mmmmm, they were all good!!

TOT,, I have no idea of the drop sequence we had, I'm always so freaked out, I couldn't fathom trying to count while you're holding on for dear life , trying not to puke! But them after you think, wow, I love that ride!!

This was the first time out of all my rides that we had a "lame" drop sequence, I know it was lame because I didn't feel like I was going to be sick afterwards. :rotfl:

This is not trip report related but I am currently in the very early planning stages for an England/Scotland trip with maybe a side trip to Paris. Have any of you been and if so what are some tips you may have on what to see/do/stay etc.?
