Feelin' Hot Hot Hot in Walt Disney World (May 2010) - The Final Decision...Hmm

I loved TSM on my last visit in 2008! I can't wait for my family to see all the new attractions since my oldest 2 sons haven't been since 1997 and my youngest 2 sons have never visited WDW. My daughter and I enjoyed a trip in Dec 2008 and loved Catastrophe Canyon but I agree that the Backlot Tour is not something I would want to do every trip.

Your pics are great!

Great update :thumbsup2 What did you draw in the Animation Academy?

Hey all!!

I'm sorry that I didn't get to do an update for today. Just as an "fyi", I won't be able to get many updates done between Monday and Wednesday. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, I have a few things that have to get done :)

Looks like I need to play catch up though!

Just A Spoonful of Sugar

Lately we have been attempting to plan our next trip to Walt Disney World. We haven’t even been back home for a month yet and we are ready to go back to Disney. I’ve read on the DIS that many people are just like this, they like planning their next trip as soon as they get back and I can see why. It passes time and it also keeps the magic alive. You can also have a better feeling for what you would and would not do for the next trip. But putting the next trip planning aside it’s time to get back to the trip report.

Last time I left you we were heading out of Disney’s Hollywood Studios to head back to the Polynesian where we would relax for a little bit then head on over to the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa for the afternoon tea at the Garden View Tea Lounge. When we had booked the tea, we had tried to get it for an earlier time and date but unfortunately they were all booked up. We ended up booking the tea for Tuesday May 4th 2010 at 3:50pm. Knowing that we were going to have tea this late in the afternoon we had decided that maybe we should have a lighter dinner. But before we discuss the dinner plans we need to get through the joyful afternoon plans. I need to back track to where we left off, heading out of the Studios.

After our fun filled day at the Disney’s Hollywood Studios we had decided that maybe it was time to head on back to the resort. So we headed back down Hollywood Boulevard towards the park exit. We checked out the shops on the way out of the park but found that a lot of the merchandise being sold in these stores were just repeats of what we had already seen at practically every other shop we had visited in Walt Disney World. I took one last look down Hollywood Boulevard and then we headed out through the park exit turnstiles. Thankfully there was a tram already waiting for guests to board. Once we boarded the tram we sat back, relaxed and enjoyed the short ride to the parking lot where our rental car was parked.

As soon as we found our car we opened the door and were blasted with heat. The car felt like it was hotter than outside! Of course we are used to this when we travel to Florida because we know that the sun beats down on the car and just like that the car becomes an oven. The temperature reading on the dashboard in the car read that it was 100*F outside which translates into 37.77*C for those who use Celsius instead of Fahrenheit. But anyways, as soon as we all got in the car we turned on the air conditioning and headed out of the Studios parking lot and back towards the Polynesian. I love the drive to and from the resort and around the Walt Disney World complex. Compared to other theme parks, it seems like they did an excellent job at WDW secluding the parks and not making things obvious and stick out. Seeing the Tower of Terror in the far distance always makes me smile because it’s just another thing that reminds me that we are in Walt Disney World.

By the time we got back to our room, we had approximately 30 minutes or more to spare until we were scheduled to head on over to the Grand Floridian for the afternoon tea. We decided to relax, have a few snacks and watch the Disney Channel. Soon enough though we realized that it was time to walk over to the Grand Floridian and try something new for the first time. When we had booked the tea, we were not entirely sure if we would like it. First of all, my dad is not a big tea drinker and thought that the atmosphere of the Garden View Tea Lounge would be a little too ‘high class’ for him. I had always wanted to try the afternoon tea after reading the tea offerings on the menu I found online. There were so many teas and I had no idea what I wanted to try. We sold my dad on the pastry selection and the other dessert offerings that were available at the afternoon tea.

As soon as we arrived at the Grand Floridian, we headed on over to the Garden View Tea Lounge to check in for our reservation. We were told to wait in the Grand Floridian main lobby while they set up a table for us. We waited no longer than 5 minutes before we were seated and given the tea offerings menu. The atmosphere in the Garden View Tea Lounge was relaxing and comfortable. We did not feel out of place, as I know some places can make people feel out of place etc. Our server’s name was Delanie, and after we got a chance to look over the menu, she came over to greet us. She asked if we had ever been to the Afternoon Tea at the Garden View Tea Lounge before and we said no, because we haven’t. She explained the menu to us, and allowed us to look over the various teas again. My mom was beginning to ask Delanie a question when she walked away. I guess she thought that nobody was going to say anything or ask any questions so she went on with her business. She then came back and took our order:

Myself: Princess Breakfast Tea; Pastry from the pastry selection
Mom: Garden View Tea Blend; Pastry from the pastry selection
Dad: Garden View Tea Blend; Pastry from the pastry selection

At the Afternoon Tea they have various “packages” you can order. With a few of these “packages” you can get a selection of sandwiches, cheeses, meats, pastries etc. With the “package” you also get your choice of tea. For this time we decided not to order a “package” but rather we decided to order a few pastries each. Each pastry cost approximately $2.75 and what they do is they will bring over a tray of pastries for you to choose from. We all chose at least one different pastry each.

2 x Chocolate Covered Strawberries
2 x Mini Fruit Tart (Raspberries, Mandarin Oranges & Blueberries)
1 x Strawberry Fruit Cake

dscf0394n.jpg

I only ordered one pastry because I wasn’t sure if I would want another one, or if one would be just enough for me. My parents both got two pastries each, and both looked delicious! The Princess Breakfast Tea came in a tea press pot because, as Delanie explained to me, the tea leaves were really small and fine so they needed to be strained. The set up for the tea is really cute. On each table you have a tea cup for each guest and in the tea cup is your napkin which the server places on your lap for you. There is also a tea strainer for each guest and a cup of sugar cubes. I have not seen sugar cubes in years and let me tell you they were really cute! The Garden View tea blend comes in a tea pot and has a darker tinge to it. The Princess Breakfast Tea has a pink-red tinge to it and tastes a lot like vanilla.

dscf0398y.jpg

After we had finished our pastries we had noticed that they had Strawberries and Cream available for a dessert. We ordered two bowls of the Strawberries and Cream – my dad had one and my mom and I split a bowl.

dscf0399s.jpg

I have to admit the strawberries were really fresh and delicious and the cream suited the strawberries quite well and deliciously. After all was said and done we decided it was time to head back to the Polynesian since we were all finished our teas and treats. My overall opinion on the Afternoon Tea at the Garden View Tea Lounge located in the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa was that words cannot even begin to describe the delicious tea and the scrumptious desserts. Let’s just say that we left wanting more, which says a lot.

When Is The Next Trip?

I cannot believe that we are still on the third day of the trip. I need to get to the EPCOT day, but first I have a little bonus update for you all.

As many of you might be able to tell from the title we were/are trying to decide whether or not to go to Walt Disney World in 2011 or not. If we didn’t go in February 2011 than we would wait and go in February 2012. By going in February, we would be travelling during the peak season. Add peak season prices to a deluxe resort and you are finding yourself deep in $$$. Due to the price of the room per night we have officially decided that it is best to wait until February 2012. However, if we get a pin code or a discount for February 2011 we will reconsider and see if we would be able to also go in 2011. Of course, just because we are going in February 2012 does not mean that we cannot plan for the trip! Yes, we have already started planning for the trip, we need to work on the dining plans and the park plans but we know where we are staying and the trip dates.

Dates: Saturday, February 18 2012 to Saturday, February 25 2012
Hotel: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
Hotel Level: Outerbuilding Standard View Club Level

The “outerbuilding” I presume means that we would have a room that is not in the main building but rather in the Sugarloaf building which is located just outside the main building. We have never stayed at the Grand Floridian so that should be a new experience for us. We thought that we would try the concierge level just because we thought that it might save us some money when it comes to food. It also provides a new experience for us on top of another new experience, which makes the excitement grow.

We have decided to get 5 day park hoppers but I think we are going to buy them online because they are cheaper than buying them in the Disney Store here. At least for now they are, but the one website offers free shipping so that is helpful. So many times I want to buy something from let’s say the online Disney Store but can’t because the shipping and handling is so expensive. I have ordered some Disney pins off of Ebay and gotten free shipping to Canada for them which made buying them that much more worth it.

Moving onto restaurants and dining reservations here are some ADR’s that we think we might make:

- Biergarten
- Les Chefs De France
- Grand Floridian Café

As for other reservations I am not entirely sure yet. I need to discuss these plans with others to see what they think etc. But I will keep you all posted
!

Love your new ticker! It may seem so far off until you go but like you said, it gives you something to plan for and planning for Disney does make the time go by fast.

Your afternoon tea sounds like something I would like to try. Did your parents enjoy it after all (esp your Dad)?

Thank you!!

They really did enjoy the tea, especially my dad. He was the one who talked us into going a second time this trip and wants to go back the next trip. :thumbsup2 I'm so glad we went there. They have a wide selection of teas and pastries etc. :goodvibes I just asked them and they said that they loved the whole thing :wizard:

I just found your TR. I was at the Poly from May 10-15, so we kind of overlapped. It was my first time there, and I absolutely loved it! Looking forward to reading more :)

The Downtown Disney Dinner Extravaganza!

Just as a forewarning, I did not take many pictures this day at Downtown Disney :goodvibes

OK, well maybe the title of this update is a little over the top, but this was our first meal at Downtown Disney Marketplace so it’s a pretty big deal since we like eating here. Where in the Downtown Disney Marketplace did we decide to eat?

Well, we ate at the Earl of Sandwich. We have eaten at the Rainforest Café before but have never really been interested in going back there for a meal. After looking at the T-Rex menu online it made me want to eat there. I took a step back and did some research on T-Rex and found out that quite a few people were not so pleased with the food quality at T-Rex or the atmosphere so we decide against going here to eat on our trip.

The Earl of Sandwich always seems to be so busy, and there is no doubt as to why it is. When we entered the restaurant we noticed that there were no tables available, we would have to eat outside. Eating outside would have been no big deal, but we really wanted to eat inside. I know some people have issues with others saving tables, but if you truly are going to eat there then I don’t see the problem. But again that is just my opinion and perspective.

We entered the line to order and the line surprisingly moved quickly. We ordered some sandwiches and smoothies:

The Earl’s Club – roast turkey, smoked bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce and tomato
The Best BLT – applewood bacon, lettuce, roma tomatoes and seasoned mayonnaise

The smoothie flavors that we ordered were 2x Hawaiian Smoothie, which is a mixture of pineapple and coconut, as well as 1x Triple Berry Smoothie which is a mixture of three types of berries that I have not been able to figure out exactly what they are. Regardless, the smoothie was delicious! We ended up finding a table, which was very nice because it timed nicely with us getting our food.

dscf0406d.jpg

After we finished our food at the Earl of Sandwich we then decided to browse around in the different shops at Downtown Disney. Tren-D didn’t really seem to have anything that interested me, but the shop itself was designed interestingly enough. I enjoy looking at jewelry and the like so I found a few things to look at while my parents were looking around. After Tren-D we decided to head on over to the World of Disney but not before we got a free chocolate sample from Ghirardelli’s. Yummmy!!!!

dscf0409l.jpg

dscf0408sc.jpg

The World of Disney always seems so busy, and today was no exception. We looked around but left rather quickly because the merchandise in the store was compiled of things that we could find in other shops at the resorts and the parks. I did find something that I was looking for though – a book! Before we left for WDW I knew that I wanted to collect Imagineering books so the first book of my collection was “The Imagineering Field Guide to Epcot at Walt Disney World”. These books are very interesting and informative. So many times I go to a park and over look the little details that make the park special and unique.

After Downtown Disney we headed back to the room and relaxed for the rest of the night. I fell asleep dreaming of what the next day would bring. Could it bring German food and flowers? Or how about someone turning into a Test Track dummy? We shall see, we shall see.

Toy Story Mania is a really, really good ride minus the long stand-by lines. It is worth the wait to me though :thumbsup2

Great update :thumbsup2 What did you draw in the Animation Academy?

Thank you!
I didn't draw anything in the Animation Academy :( We just saw the show and then looked around at the various studios etc inside the Animation Building. :goodvibes

Great update! ;)

Thank you!! :goodvibes

I just found your TR. I was at the Poly from May 10-15, so we kind of overlapped. It was my first time there, and I absolutely loved it! Looking forward to reading more :)

Woohoo!!! Congratulations on your first stay at the Polynesian! We were hooked from our first stay there :thumbsup2 I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed it!

The Beginning…

So today would be Wednesday May 5 2010 which means that today is the day that we go to Epcot! We had decided when we made our lunch reservations at Biergarten that we should have a lighter breakfast. A lighter breakfast for us would be eating at Captain Cook’s/Kona Island.

The morning started out with my mom and I going for a walk to the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa like usual. We again waited for my dad in the main lobby of the Great Ceremonial House. Since we would be taking the monorail to Epcot we had decided to eat a bit earlier since it would take us a few minutes to walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center where we would take the monorail to Epcot. I had decided that for breakfast I would have a side order of Breakfast Potatoes. My parents decided that they would get their breakfast from Kona Island, so I said that I would meet them up there to eat after I got my breakfast from Captain Cook’s.

After all was said and done I left Captain Cook’s with a side order of Breakfast Potatoes and an Orange Juice. My parents, from the Kona Island, got two Kona Coffees, two Orange Juices, and two Cinnamon Rolls. We sat at what becomes the Kona Island Sushi Bar and talked about our plans for the day and for the rest of the week. We ended up finishing breakfast at 8:20am so we decided to head back to the hotel room and get ready for Epcot.

We got ready and began walking to the Transportation and Ticket Center. It seems as though timing is everything, because when we got to the Epcot monorail platform we only had to wait approx. 5 minutes or less for the monorail to arrive. I love the Epcot monorail, it’s a very nice and relaxing journey to and through parts of Epcot.

Coming Up: What Did We Do First?!

Hi Lily. You sound just like me about trying to ignore all the people heading home just as you were starting your vacation. I did exactly the same thing a few weeks ago when we arrived off the plane at Orlando. I looked over at the massive line of people in the security check lines catching planes out of Orlando knowing that in a week that would be us ending our vacation. And then when it was us lining up to get our bags inspected, I looked longingly over at those who were just arriving.

Enjoying your report! We flew out of Pearson a few times and its busy! I fly out of Ottawa now and it takes usually 10 - 15 minutes max to clear customs and be in a waiting room. Though the few times through pearson (connecting) its been so hectic! I must say Pearson is kinda dull to sit around in when Orlando has so much to look at. I enjoy San Francisco as well.

Loving your trip report. My sister will be in your neck of the words at York Uni next year...I chose quieter nipissing in north bay, on :)

Can't wait to read more of your TR

Epcot: The Land of Imagination

So, the last time I left you we were on the monorail heading to Epcot. I love taking the monorail to Epcot because as you are entering Epcot, the monorail circles around a little bit of the park, giving you a preview of all the things and places you can go. We had decided before arriving at the park that we would go and get a fastpass for Test Track, since we know that the stand-by line can get a little lengthy for that ride.

dscf0486m.jpg

dscf0496z.jpg

We walked through the Epcot entrance gates approximately 5 minutes or so after the park opening. We must have gotten to the park early because by the time we walked over to Epcot it was 9:15am.

dscf0513v.jpg

I went and got fastpasses for Test Track that had a return time between 9:50am and 10:50am. Instead of using the fastpasses though we decided to go to the stand-by line since it was only a 10 minute wait. We walked directly through the line up of Test Track and right into the preshow. I was quite impressed – this was the shortest line of the trip without a fastpass. But anyways, the preshow of Test Track was the same as I remembered and yes I still find it funny.

I still scream when we do the 60 MPH ride loop, it’s super fast and exciting. The ride itself is quite short, or at least it felt like it was short – but I enjoyed it. So after we came off of Epcot we decided to do a little touring of the Flower and Garden Festival.

dscf0522q.jpg

We first visited “Princess Tiana's Wedding Bayou”. It was quite interesting but I was a little disappointed that they just showed cardboard cut outs of the characters. Oh well, I still enjoyed it.

dscf0528zx.jpg

dscf0527k.jpg

Then we went to Pixie Hollow Fairy Garden which was SUPER cute because of all the little pixie houses we saw. Then we went to Fawn’s Butterfly Garden/House which of course was really interesting. I have never seen a butterfly up close and having a ton of them fly over my head was scary but funny.

dscf0547n.jpg

We ended up coming out of Fawn’s Butterfly House at the other side of Future World, which was perfect because we wanted to go to The Living Seas with Nemo and Friends. When we were heading into the lineup for the clammobile portion of the journey, we walked behind the birds that constantly say “Mine, Mine, Mine”. Of course when they began to do that I was not paying full attention so I ended up jumping because I was startled. Those birds are quite loud, but cute! I personally love Finding Nemo, and think that it is a really cute movie.

dscf0566q.jpg

The Living Seas with Nemo and Friends ride was fun, and very well themed. The line up seems long considering that the wait time for the ride was only 5 minutes, but still they did an amazing job with the theming. We wanted to see Turtle Talk with Crush, so after we came off of the ride we headed over to the show. We ended up waiting 10 minutes for the show, but it was well worth it. It was so cute to see the kids interact with Crush in amazement. I don’t know how Disney did that show, but they certainly did it well!

We didn’t really see any of the fish for some reason, but next time we go to Epcot I plan on going back to the Living Seas with Nemo and Friends to see the fish.

Up Next: Innoventions and a Pig

Innovations and a Piggy Bank

I know what you are thinking, what an odd update title . . . what does it mean? Well if you would like to find out than you will just have to read on! Before I get to that I need to discuss what we did after The Living Seas with Nemo and Friends.

So after we exited the Living Seas with Nemo and Friends we decided to head to the Land Pavilion to ride Living with the Land. We didn’t go on Soarin’ this trip because I found that last time I went on it I felt a little motion sick during the nighttime scene of the ride. But anyways, once we got to the bottom floor of the Land Pavilion we noticed that the stand-by line for Living with the Land was EXTREMELY long. I’m not sure of the reason why it was so long, but I’m sure it had something to do with the ride breaking down or getting stuck. Instead of joining the line we decided to leave and head over to Innovations while we waited for World Showcase to open.

In Innovations we did the Great Piggy Bank Adventure. I wasn’t quite sure as to what it was but I certainly fell in love with it as soon as I picked up the Piggy Bank that we had to carry around from the drawer. It was ADORABLE and a little bit heavy, but still it was soooooo cute!!! I should explain what we had to do or else I might end up confusing people. Basically there were different stations set up for this activity and what you had to do first was you had to choose a goal to save money for. There were multiple options and of course we chose the vacation savings option. In each of the different activities we had to protect our money from a fox who was trying to steal it all from us. They were fun activities and in the end we had saved enough money for the vacation.

If only saving for a vacation was that easy…

After we were finished at the Great Piggy Bank Adventure we decided to look around Innovation, but there was nothing else in the building that we wanted to do or see so we decided to head on over to World Showcase. Our lunch reservation was for 12:05 in Germany which was more than halfway around World Showcase. We decided to start on the Canada side and work our way around. There were so many topiaries set up for the Flower and Garden Festival that I ended up having to stop at every country just so I could take pictures of them because they were so cute. We ended up having to rush our way through the majority of the countries because of course we didn’t want to be late for our buffet lunch.

Our lunch reservations were for Biergarten which was a first for us. Actually, we have never eaten at a sit down restaurant in World Showcase up until this trip. But trust me, after the experience that we had here we want to go back. But before I get to that I need to explain something. At Biergarten you share a table with others. We shared a table with two other families, and they were very nice. Of course the conversation was about Disney and how expensive and crowded things are with all the various discounts floating around etc.

I was more concentrated on our food though. I had some weird macaroni salad that either had red pepper or ham in it and I couldn’t tell which one it was because it was so dark. It tasted alright, but not knowing what was in it was a little different for me. I had some cucumber salad and a variety of other options. All the food here was delicious. When I went up to get some dessert I saw a cheesecake type dessert and had to have it. I also grabbed a vanilla pudding and something else to eat. Of course NOTHING in the world could or can compare to the Bavarian Cheesecake that I ate there. I have never had a good tasting cheesecake until I tried the Bavarian Cheesecake. It was completely amazing.

Because of the food, and the delicious desserts we have decided that the Biergarten is a must do for our next trip.

Look for the answers in the next update!

I can't help but to think that since it is June 3, a month ago we were in the Magic Kingdom. I'll torture myself by saying "A month ago we were..." for a long time I think. Although waiting 1.5 years or so until we can return to Walt Disney World may seem like a long time, I'm sure it won't be. :lovestruc

Beauty and the Beast Topiaries --> France
Snow White Topiaries --> Germany
Cinderella Topiaries --> Bridge between U.K & France
Peter Pan Topiaries --> United Kingdom
Bambi Topiaries --> Canada

So after we finished the lunch buffet and Biergarten we decided to head around the rest of World Showcase. For the longest time I have wanted to ride Maelstrom, and finally on this trip we did. The line up for the ride was not long at all, probably a 10 minute wait. I was a little bit scared because it said that "You May Get Wet" and the last place I saw that sign was on Splash Mountain. Well, after all was said and done we didn't get wet, and although I had wanted to go on the Maelstrom, once was enough for me because it wasn't anything special. It was a relaxing, cool ride that caused me to scream a couple of times sure, but it wasn't what I thought it was going to be.

We didn't really explore any of the shops in World Showcase because we knew that we were going to be heading back to Epcot in a couple of days. Instead we decided to take a second stab at Living with the Land. Once we got to the Land Pavilion, we noticed that it was beginning to rain - or spit. Finally, some rain - although I didn't want it to rain - it sure was relaxing. The line up for Living with the Land was not long at all, and trust me I was glad that we waited to go on the ride. The smell of the water in Living with the Land is so familiar and relaxing. This ride is relaxing and fun - it's cool to see the way they grow vegetables and fruits and other trees. There certainly some plants that we could never see growing at home. The only part of this ride that I didn't really enjoy was seeing the dead fish floating in the fish tank. Yummy right? No.

Regardless, we enjoyed Living with the Land and as soon as we got off, we decided to head on over to Innovations to see "StormStruck". I'm not a big fan of 3-D films or games so when we first saw this show in 2008 I was a little bit scared when the tree came flying through the screen and puffs of air were being blown in my face constantly. Where is the apple pie scent when you need it? :lmao: Anyways, I told myself that I would keep my eyes open, and so did my mom. But we both didn't. Nope, things flying at me and her become scary and worth screaming about. I got a lot of the questions right, and not because I cheated, but because I remembered the answers from the last time we saw it. We'll, we were prepared to be STORMSTRUCKED *queue lightening*.

After we were finished in Innovations we decided to head over to the Universe of Energy. Oh the Universe of Energy how I have heard mixed reviews about you and your 43 minute "ride". Were you interesting? To me yes. Were you tiring? To my mom yes. Congratulations Universe of Energy you made my mom fall asleep :thumbsup2 and for that...well, I don't know. I thought it was a nice way to cool off and it certainly did not feel like it was that long of a ride, or a show. It was funny and I thought that Ellen and Bill Nye suited the ride, so they of course made it more interesting. But yes Universe of Energy you pooped us out. But thank goodness Spaceship Earth was close by to awaken us...or put us to sleep?

No. I love Spaceship Earth, just not with the girl narration. Nope, sorry but I liked the man's voice more it was more relaxing and soothing. Oh well, it was nice to see our Spaceship Earth once again! The smells, the sights, the backwards motion - you are a lovely attraction Spaceship Earth, yes you are. Or as some people refer to you as "That Big Golf Ball!!". I once was one of those people....once. Now I know that it is a geodesic dome! Or something along that line...

Up next: The Park Exit and the Food

The End of Epcot

So after we decided it was time to leave Epcot for the day, we headed out the park exit and began walking towards the monorail station. I really wanted to ride the Tron monorail, and well let’s just say the monorail that was rounding the bend towards the monorail station certainly put a smile on my face. Was it the Tron monorail that I had been hoping for? Why yes, it was, and it was really awesome! My only complaint is because they put that window sticker type material all over the monorail and the monorail window, it made it a little difficult to see outside the window. Oh well though, all I needed to know was that we were on a monorail and I was set for the ride back to the Transportation and Ticket Center.

**As a side note, when it comes to the Transportation and Ticket Center I am always so tempted to write or type it as the Transportation and Ticket Centre. Since I am Canadian we apparently have to put the ‘r’ before the ‘e’ or it isn’t considered proper spelling. I refuse to do it, but I have to. It’s not the right way to spell it, but according to someone in Canada it is.**

But anyways, the ride back to the TTC was not long at all. Once we got off of the monorail we decided to walk back to the hotel room because the distance from the TTC to Tahiti is pretty much non-existent. This is another reason why we like to stay at the Polynesian – because it is so close to the TTC, which allows us to easily get to another park. Anyways, we decided to have a lighter dinner, which I ended up getting Tomato Basil Soup and French Fries from Captain Cook’s while my parents split the Pulled Pork Sandwich. The dinner was very nice, the soup was nice and warm which is a plus.

Anyways, the rest of the night was uneventful again, we just decided to relax and rest for our day at Animal Kingdom!
