Hi all, just looking for some feedback on the BWV. We are going 1/6-1/13. I recently read a review in which the writer felt their room was dirty, and in need of repair! I was very surprised, since our experience w/ Disney hotels (we usually stay at Dixie Landings) is that the rooms are immaculate. I hope this persons experience was an isolated incident! We have reserved a one bedroom, do you think it is at all possible that we can be upgraded to a 2 bedroom, if available? Anyhow, I am eager to hear about anyones experience at BWV! Also, what was the view like from your room? The only request I made was 1 bedroom, non smoking.
Thanks for any feedback!:Pinkbounc

we stayed in room# 5024 this past April, and it was perfect! A dedicated 1 bdrm, view of the pool, canal, and ToT, as well as the high fireworks from Epcot. Its absolutely my favorite place to stay, since we love Epcot and MGM the best.
Our room was ready early, and very clean. They brought up a brand new blanket for us to use with the queen sofa bed in the living room, and had no problems with our delivery from netgrocer being there.
Yes, it was far from the elevators, on the top floor, but it wasn't a problem for us.
have a great trip!

I'm a DVC member and BWV is my home resort. We've stayed there multiple times (including once in January) and never, ever had a bad room. I'm quite certain that the "bad" room was an isolated experience. If by some chance you do encounter a dirty room or something that is in need of repair, by all means, contact the front desk and give them a chance to make it right! If there were a problem with rooms at BWV, it would be reported all over the DVC board here on the DIS, and I assure you that is NOT the case. Anyone can have a bad experience at ANY hotel, so don't let that one person's experience worry you. It wasn't typical.

Don't count on a complimentary upgrade from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom. Upgrades at the DVC resorts are very few and far between. They do not not happen nearly as frequently as at the other deluxe hotels - probably because the DVC resorts tend to have higher occupancy rates.

IMHO, the views from all the rooms are good. You will probably get a view of either one of the pools or of the canal/Swan/Dolphin Hotels. It is possible that you will get a view of the Boardwalk and Crescent Lake, but that is the most frequently requested view. It is also possible that you will get a view of the Hotel entrance and parking lots, but that also isn't very likely. Most of those views are taken by the DVC owners as they require less points to reserve. If you do happen to get one of those, the good news is that you may have a view of the higher level EPCOT fireworks from your balcony. That would also be the case if you got a Boardwalk view.

I think you will just love the 1 bedroom no matter what view you get. It has a large jacuzzi-like tub (in addition to a large shower) and a washer/dryer right in the unit. You also get a kitchen (fully equipped with dishes, cooking pots & utensils, silverware and the appliances) as well as a living room with a TV and VCP.

Enjoy your trip!

You will love the 1 bdrm at BWV. If you usually stay at a moderate you will be floored by all the space and the amenities.

This is a warning though! We stayed there 3 years ago "just this once" as a special splurge. We were ruined for regular hotels in about 5 minutes. Ended up joining the DVC. That is NOT an unusual outcome. :p

We were ther in July for our first visit. They are currently working on "enhancements" so our first room had a lovely view of scafolding:rolleyes: After 3 nights they moved us to another room that had a much better view of the BW:D
We did have mold all over the AC vent and did show housekeeping, they never did get around to cleaning it, but it really didn't bother us. It wasn't like it was our first WDW resort to have mold in it:eek:
