no they were 1$ each and then I had a 1$ off coupon for 3 = 75 cents per bag.. It was a late night and I was shopping with the kids:scared1:

Your math is off. $1 divided by 3 is 33.3333 each. That would make the bags 66 cents each.

Math is not my best subject either. But hey you are doing better than you thought.

My mistake - I read it as $2 each! See what happens when you read the board after going out and having sake?

(Although I should have posted my menu for that day, because it was a free meal - my girlfriend took me out in honor of my recent graduation - can you tell I wasn't a Math Major? :rotfl2: )

I do have another question - I planted a garden with DD this year, more to teach her about how seeds grow than to count on the output of the garden. It was not free - I spent a few dollars on seeds, but even moreso on topsoil, etc. How do you calculate this into what the veggies cost? I have a feeling I am going to yield one tomato for around $45!

My first garden was 7 yrs ago just 3 tomato plants and a zucchini i bought starter plants it cost me 10 dollars the abundance of tomato's and zucchini bread we ate that year surpass the 10 dollars, today my garden is much much larger and the 10-15 i spend on seeds or starter plants doesn't compare with the 30+ is save weekly so it's not figured in my budget. Plus my garden is my hobby and enjoyment it just happens to feed my family like my husband hobby is golf we have a budget for our hobbies.

I would love to be able to do a garden, but we can't at this house. I tried some stuff in planters on the porch and the zucchini was looking good, but then got too hot and fried them. The lettuce I planted is doing good. I'd love to grow all sorts of things!

Mac and cheese is fine as part of the balanced diet. I think what concerns a lot of people is the lack of fruit and vegetables. Everything you're eating sounds good but you're definitely lacking those. I don't see a mention of either one.

My oldest is Stacia-not short for anything, just Stacia.
