February trip thread!

We go every Feb for our son Birthday, I booked Feb 7th-11th at the GCV!!

Okay soy DD and I are headed to DL for our first trip every and actually it will be our first trip to California, so excited.

We will be there starting Feburary 14th through February 19th.

We are staying at the VGC.

uber excited about the prices for the 5 day bonus park hoppers...the plan fare to california is great...this year for presidents week we went to WDW and the plane fare was so out of control we had to take the amtrak...it was a great experience but never again. My DD is way to anxious to sit for so many hours on our way to WDW...

awesome! ill be at dennys then haha. and we too are going to san diego for 3 days as well. we were going to do the zoo, i grew up going there and LOVEEE it. but we didnt have enough time, it was that and cut down a day at disney but theres no way lol but we have the brookfield zoo a couple hours from us which is very large also. your trip will be great! lets all pray for minimal ride closures this year! im hopin since they are draining the river and basically taking 4 things to do out in doing so, that they are nice enough to keep all the good rides open LOL

What is a LGHM???

It's a "lime green mickey head." It's a paint sample of alien green shaped in a mickey head that you can get at Home Depot. A lot of DIS'ers hang them from their purse, bag, shirt, hat etc. so we can recognize our fellow DIS'ers in the parks.

well she will LOVE the zoo! i love animals. i LOVE LOVE LOVE marine animals lol and loveeeee sea world! you guys will have sooo much fun! and i REALLLLLY am hopin thats a rumor too! i hope NONE of the general favorite rides are down! lol

Okay, I had to change my reservation and now we are at PP instead of Good Neighbor hotel Carousel Inn. I had originally reserved 6 nights and 6 day parkhoppers for 2 adults and 1 child for $1125.

Well, I got the free dining pin code in my e-mail today and so I called up Disney to see if it was a good deal. So I could have gotten a standard room at DLH for 4 nights and 4 parkhoppers and free dining for ~$1850 and for a park view (only thing available) at PPH for ~$2000!!

That really didn't seem like a good deal when I figured the math out so I re-booked for 5 nights at PPH and 6 day parkhoppers using the buy 3 get 2 free deal for.........drumroll...........$1274!! I'm really excited. Ideally I'd like to stay at DLH, and I might end up upgrading, but I am really happy with this offer. Anybody have any opinions?? Anybody else book this offer???

It's kind of a bummer too because I've always wanted to receive a pin code. Oh well, hopefully they'll keep sending them to me.

Just thought I'd chime in about that free dining pin code, the numbers just didn't crunch right to me. You still had to pay full rate for rooms and tickets.

Hey Alaskanmommy, Great deal on the pkg. Yes I rebooked after the 2 night free deal came out. We are in the DLH from the 8th thru the 14th, 6 nights with 6 day PH was $1809 for a standard view. I had to book our first two nights (6th & 7th)in the DLH upper resort view and it was $512 for the two nights. Standard view was not available. Oh well. I paid $275 for a room in Saskatchewan this summer.
Honestly I have no idea if this is a good deal or not. It is our first Disney trip so I am clueless.
Now if I could find a good seat sale...I might finally get some sleep

Does your DD know that you are going? I told my DD, but I may as well have told her we were going to Walmart . Boy is she in for a surprise

She just turned 8. We really don't have any plans other than DLR. 8 days may be too much,but we are just going to take our time and see everything.

8 days will be really nice you'll be able to take your time and still sleep in or stay up late and lounge by the pool or hang out at Downtown Disney, or go to movies, etc. You guys will have a blast. I'd definitely recommend catching the Aladdin show; it's fantastic.!!

We are flying in at John Wayne Airport and renting a car for 12 days. DH has family on the central coast so we are visiting them first and then doing San Diego and DLH later. We will have a car until we check in at Paradise Pier and we are staying in a hotel in San Diego for 4 or 5 days before Disneyland.

Here's to the time going by quickly!!

Yeah we changed to PPH (so excited)!! The dates are different: we wil stay just off property on the 7th and check in to PPH on the 8th but we will still have 6 days in the park!!

Thanks, ashpinoza! We've stayed there before and really enjoyed it. It's nice to be able to ride the monorail and be really close to DTD, DLH and GCH. And I love that the Disney hotels have stores in them with Disney merchandise too (we're pin traders/collectors) !!

I had resigned myself to stay off-property and was fine with it so now I'm super excited!!
