February Park Hours REDUCED? What gives?

We usually spend Presdident's week in WDW and have always had the "luxuy" of park hours being extended to 11 or Midnight for the MK, and sometimes 10 PM for HS. My touringplans tracker has been sending me updates all week of REDUCED hours throughout WDW for President's week. Some nights, MK is closing at 8:00PM!? I know that that Star Wars land doesn't open unitil Fall 2019, but is Disney really expecting crowds to be THAT thin for President's week just becasue the anticpate people waiting to visit when Star Wars Land opens, or is this just another "we can, so we will" move by Disney to save money?

Yes! True I know that they change, buy I have NEVER received news of hours being REDUCED in advance. Makes me go hmmmm...
Plus, my 180 day crap shoot of ADR's is next week so I'd like to have SOME idea but we all know how that goes...that shouldn't be too big of a deal. Not sitting down to eat at 10:00 PM

I'm surprised Presidents week hours were posted long enough to be changed already. Whenever I've looked they were only out 6 months before exactly. I don't use touring plans, were they going by something other than the official Disney calendar originally?

Just checked the official Disney website hours, they are only out through Feb 11.

I don’t know how TP does their notices when it comes to dates that far out, but Disney doesn’t even release their basic hours calendar to the public until 180 days in advance (you can see another 10 days in advance of that using the My Itinerary feature on the website). I assume for a date like Pres Day (187 days from today) TP is just updating their own predicted hours?

But yeah, you’ll see relatively significant changes to those hours at some point.

I'm guessing that TP had predicted hours based on last year.

Then disney came out with official hours which had standard 8pm close times for off season.

Last year i went the week after president's week and it took them FOREVER to update the hours to holiday closing... it was sitting at 8pm closing all week until much closer to the trip

this isn't a reduction, it's just a reflection of Disney's "phoning it in" on posting hours.

Looking at anything further out than September is looking way too far out
