Rules are simple: you decide what to track, how to track it and what your goals are. While many people choose to try for as many $0 days as possible (hence the "no buy" title), if some other target works for you, then go for it! [Stole this intro from MomtoOne]

I'm in! I've never done one of these before, but I'm starting a new job and I want to get started saving the right way now.

I'm in!!

6/3 nights out (a couple birthdays this month... so we'll see!)

16 - $0
17 - $6.75 breakfast, $7.90 lunch, $10.65 groceries
18 - $135 The Lion King tickets, $36 Godiva, $40 Sephora (Rachel's birthday gift), $2.82 breakfast
19 - $0
20 -$0
21 - $2.82 breakfast, $60 Rachel's birthday dinner
22 - $61.45 + 4.02 groceries, $3.00 tea and muffin
23 - $0
24 - $3.00 cupcake for charity
25 - $49.31 dinner, $11.95 wine
26 - $2.80 breakfast, $10.11 dinner at school
27 - $1.60 tea
28 - $20 drinks with friends, $1.60 tea, $2.82 breakfast

summary - damn, it's been an expensive month! lunches out weren't a problem... but I did buy breakfast/tea unnecessarily in hopes of winning roll up the rim and being lazy - 8 breakfasts on the go - way too many! At least next month there are no concerts, no birthdays and essentially no fun! lol

I'm going to try to make my goal this month of 12 no-buys. Starting off on the wrong foot though going out to eat tonight for a birthday.
Good luck everyone!

I believe this month I won't track grocery and gasoline purchases but just the miscellaneous spending that tends to add up (and sometimes rockets out of control! :scared1: )

We budget $20 a week for WAM (walking around money) or pocket money... and then sometimes spend money that could (and should) be getting tossed into the savings account. I'm trying to cut down on that!

I decided to toss all "extra" money into Disney savings (which I am tracking on a different thread...One Year to Save ) so I want to control the excess spending in this area.

I generally get gas and groceries from the stores west of my house on Fridays...and get the groceries at the stores to the east of my house on Wednesdays. These days can be dangerous ones for excess spending...as well as Saturdays when the family is out and about.

3/20 No buy days! Rocking it so far this week!! :thumbsup2

I'm in!!! Starting the month off not too well, but have to take care of me teeth!:scared: I'm not going to set an amount of no buys, just try for as many as I can.

I've decided to make my goal 15 no buy days! I've done pretty well so far.

1-$0
2-$72 at target, they had full size suitcases on clearance for $25 each, so I picked one each for my fiance and I since we don't have luggage, and I got a few toiletries and groceries too.
3-$0 so far, and don't plan to go out.

I will attempt to play this month. We are going to Disney at the end of April and really need save $$$ so maybe this will hold me accountable even though I am not off to a good start.

2/1 - $35 Tubing
2/2 - $50 Frozen swimsuit/cover up for Easter basket Disney surprise reveal, $30 for cold meds/few groceries
2/3 - $0 so far

I'm back again this month. I am shooting for a single no buy week this week, so a 7 day stretch from Sunday to Saturday. No buy to me is nothing that would normally come from the $70 "allowance" I give myself each week for non-bill, non-grocery, non-gas spending. So mainly Target runs :rotfl2:

The other weeks of the month I just shoot to stay at or under my allowance.

Off to an OK start so far - I've got 2 no buy days.

Sunday - $0
Monday - $0
Tuesday -
Wednesday -
Thursday -
Friday -
Saturday -
