February No Buy ~ 2014

I'm in again this month. Last month helped me to try and keep costs down. I didn't realize how much I was really spending. Deluding myself totally! Made 8 of 18 no buys last month. Spent $700 more on groceries than budgetted so my goal for this month is 11 no buys this month and to stay on budget this month.

1 - $45.58 groceries
2 - $12.90 groceries
3 - $0

Goals:
15 no buy days
$600 groceries
$400 gas
$40 eating out

2/1 - $0
2/2 - $20 eating out, $367.57 groceries
2/3 -$0
2/4 - DH is filling up his truck with gas

Snow and ice storms... The best no-buy motivation around. I'm calling tomorrow early, too, and I might increase my goal depending on how things go. We have food, there's not much else we need right now (knock on wood).

2/2 $123.14 Target and $21.99 Prescriptions
2/3 $0
2/4 $53.37 Giant Eagle

2/14 no buy days

3/7 days of my no-buy week done:

Sunday - $0
Monday - $0
Tuesday - $0
Wednesday -
Thursday -
Friday -
Saturday -

(I prefer extreme denial for one week a month instead of trying to deny myself all month long. No buy for me = non-bill, non-gas, non-grocery spending. I have separate budgets for those that I have gotten as tight as I can over the years - so while I keep to those budgetted amounts, I don't list those purchases here.)

Stay safe!! Can you at least get out if you need to?

Another no buy day for me today. 2 kids home sick. I think DS12 has pink eye so we are headed to the dr tomorrow if I can get an appt. I won't count that visit or a script because I have a flexible spending account.
