I just started a new job, but my husband and I are dying for another Dis trip. We went last April/May for our honeymoon, were back in November, and just can't wait to get back there! Anyway I got off Feb. 24-26, and I think I can take off Feb. 27th to make the trip a little longer. I know this weekend is the weekend after President's week, so I was wondering how you guys think the crowd will be!?!? I'm hoping that since pres's day is Feb. 20th that most people will take off the weekend of the 18-19. Please let me know what you think, you guys are always so helpful. I don't wanna go if it's going to be insanely crowded. TIA!!! :cool1:

i will be there 2/26 - 3/4 and was wondering the same thing , i also know that 2/28 is Mardi Gras and didnt know if that makes a difference or not with the crowds. Hopefully the crowds won't be to bad.
:earsboy: have a great trip!

Lots of people from New Orleans and the surrounding areas will be headed down to WDW, but I cannot imagine that making a huge impact on the crowds. We are doing just that, and hoping that some of the President's Week crowds diminish by the time we get there on the 24th. I think crowds should be managable, easily.

I agree w/ the above posts. :earsboy: We are heading there for the 24th also and keeping my fingers crossed that alot of the presidents crowd has gone. :disrocks: at this time of the year anyways!

...and the crowds were very manageable. I don't think Mardi Gras has a huge impact on attendance. However, Mardi Gras was very early last year (first week in Feb.). This year it is Feb. 28, which I believe is getting into the beginning of spring break time. We are going again this year, Feb. 24-Mar. 1, and I am also concerned that the crowds will be much worse than last year because of spring breaks and President's Day being Feb. 20. Like you, I am hoping that more people will have gone the previous weekend to take advantage of the 3-day weekend.

Monday, February 27, 2006 7
Tuesday, February 28, 2006 6 Mardi Gras
Wednesday, March 01, 2006 6 Ash Wednesday

These are the numbers from the Ultimate Guide online for late Feb and early March. This is based on a scale from 1 to 10 with 10 the most crowded--think Christmas, July 4th, Easter. Looks bad on Friday and Saturday. Don't think I would pay the money to go if I had another weekend. Now if that were the only weekend I could go at all, of course I would go.
