February and Cheerleaders??

For what it is worth, I spoke with Disney Reservations today regarding cheerleaders at All Stars. I was told that they will be trying to place them in All Star Sports first. They may also use Pop Century as well. This doesn't mean that they won't be at the other all star resorts; however, they are trying to place them as a group at AS sports first.

Hi all,

My BF and I have decided to switch our room reservations from the All Stars (Feb. 2nd to the 9th) to POR. Is this a safe move? If so, which building is closest to the food court and bus stops?

Thanks

LAH

We were there last year with the cheerleaders. They didn't bother us at all, except for Downtown Disney and the foodcourt. My daughter was so amazed by them all that it was kinda fun. I would think that if you are going then and staying in the All Stars that you could request a room that is on the backside of the hotel. That is where we were at. We never heard any of the practicing. A lot of the groups we talked to had very strict rules. Most couldn't be in the parks until after they had competed. Some didn't even get to go to the parks If I had my vacation planned, and found out they'd be there, I wouldn't try to change. We didn't spend much time at the resort anyway.

I am taking NO chances.
I called today to revise my reservation. Instead of Pop Century I will be staying 10 days at POR. The CM said that staying at a resort where there were cheerleaders was NO WAY to spend a vacation.

We will be at POR with a request at the Mansions.:teeth:

Hoping for the AP discount going forward but got AAA none the less.

I too have been at Disney when the Cheerleaders are and it isn't pleasant. Don't get me wrong, every child should have an opportunity to participate in an extra curricular activity and any competitions that come along, but with this initial posting Disney needs to do something.

There is a hotel for the military, how about a hotel for the cheerleaders.

My Dw and I were there during cheerleader/dance team competition a couple of February's ago. We stayed at ASMu and I didn't notice them much at all. I will say that we didn't use the pools that trip, combination of cool weather and just finding other things to do. The only time I did notice them was at about 8:30 one morning after my DW and I had spent a nice quiet evening(maybe not) at PI tasting many many beverages:headache: It would have been nice to sleep a little longer. I began to hate 8 counts!
