waaaaa! SO excited for those who get though, thats for sure! now just to be sure, you check by going to the DCL site and going into your reservation details, yes??princess: (DD8 wanted me to put yet ANOTHER princess smiley as we sit here doing homework!)

mylove4disney, i just wanted to say thanks for adding my family to the FE gift exchange list, cant wait, my DD's are SO excited to get crackin' on the FE gifts we are making!

one issue, you listed my cabin wrong :scared: it is actually 6568 not 6558....

thanks so much!

princess: princessmeesh princess:

Sorry, all fixed now. Thanks for letting me know, would hate to miss you...

Rub it in why don't you! :lmao: I know, it's all relative, right? One good thing for me is once I turned 30 my memory has decreased each year so by the the time I reach my next few landmark ages I probably won't even remember my age or how much I hate getting older.

I hope, I hope that someone from our wonderful group gets the upgrade so the rest of us can enjoy it through your eyes.

I'm guessing that for those who find out before sail day will scream (I mean share) it on this thread before hand so Sue could update it   . For those who maybe get the upgrade at time of sailing would have to tell everyone at our DISmeet.

Which brings us to the DISmeet party: ...

all hands on board pirate: ...
We may have as many as 128 people if everyone comes, if even half come we still have a very large group.
I propose we meet in front of Lumière's for the space and wonderful picture location. We could have a nice picture surrounding the statue in front of the restaurant or we could arrange ourselves along one side of the beautiful staircases. Large group or not it should make for a very nice photo. Then as Brinalyn530 pointed out there is the area above the atrium with seating. We could then pair off or break off as needed/wanted and go sit and really chat.

As for time to meet :hourglass ...
The drill happens from 3:30-4:15 followed by the sailaway party at 4:30 and we depart at 5pm.
How about gathering at 2:30 so we have time to set up our photo shoots and meet but still have time to get to the drill without rushing. Then we'll see and recogonize our new friends at the sail away party :dance3:

And finally...how goofy would anyone like to get this DISmeet?:goofy: It may be past lives as a corporate trainer, teacher or coach emerging, but is too hokey to plan an ice-breaker for our meet? A silly, yet simple, scavenger hunt where we have to gather info about each other or a fun Valentine Voyagers Cheer. People roll their eyes and maybe even run from such things :scared1: but these things really do create fast bonds whether just better face and name recognition or raise comfort levels. We could even just do it for the kids if we don't have any adult takers.

So what are your recommendations for our meet location, time and possible easy activity and let's see where we end up?

~ Dee

The time seems to be fine, on my past cruises we the drill has away had the sounds occure right at 4pm. So I thin 2:30 would be just about right knowing that will many will strole in over 15 mins or so. I'll PM you tonight about the other stuff.

So all hands on deck 3 at 2:30pm sound great for the 1st Cruise Meets...

We are still in our same cabin.

But if anyone does have a change in cabin let me know and I'll update the listing as soon as possible. If you don't find out until you board the ship. Please come to the first meeting and I'll get it out to all the rest of the FE group so they will know where to deliver the happy supprises....

Good luck...

I do like the meet idea :thumbsup2 One of my jobs (I have two-- this one pays for DVC, lol) is a youth director for a church, so I'm one of those cheesy icebreaker people :hippie: My dh, however, might run screaming if he even senses an icebreaker :scared1: (he's the music director-- likes it better quiet in the choir loft than crazy with the kids!). I suspect we'll have a good mix of either extreme and all in between :)

Also-- what about a spot in the terminal for all of us crazy people planning to get there as soon as we're allowed (and before, haha)?? Would give everyone something to do while we wait to get on the boat :)

I just had a thought... What if we had a couple of pre-selected rooms to hang room lists outside of so if anyone does change rooms and cannot come to the initial meet for some reason, they can go jot it down on one of those lists and everyone can make sure that they deliver to those rooms first. That way all can make sure they don't miss anyone? Just a thought :confused3

Rub it in why don't you! :lmao: I know, it's all relative, right? One good thing for me is once I turned 30 my memory has decreased each year so by the the time I reach my next few landmark ages I probably won't even remember my age or how much I hate getting older.

Haha-- I have already (according to dh) begun the decline in memory. Of course, that's usually when he's requesting something that has to do with housework :rolleyes1

I checked our reservations and no upgrade for us either...:sad1:

Dee you must be in f"ull vacation get things packed and ready to go" mode!! Great work, thanks for keeping us all organized.:thanks:

Me, I am still not totally there yet, work keeps getting in the way!! :rotfl:

Meeting at 2:30 sounds like a great idea, we are planning on getting to the cruise terminal a little later than most. As for the icebreaker, I know they are a great idea and work really well, but I am one of those ones you will find running away... :rolleyes1

Now to keep my DS15 happy ..... :cool1:  :woohoo: :goofy: :dogdance:  :dancer:

Please read the following in your pirate announcers voice.

You may never know where they will show up. Ye may even see them enjoying our Pirate adventure at a near distance during our Pirates spectacular evening. Ye be having the battle of the horns, ye Disney Magic shall prevale every time...

Ye guidelines for the Valentine Voyagers' Fish Extender Exchange.

1. One separate exchange on any night ye have time to distribute the gifts (if ye wants to spread out ye treasures or have more than one, feel free, no matey will stop thy. Remember treasures later in the voyage will be a nice supprise as well.

2. Secrete or Not up to the exchanger ye matey.

3. Themes Valentine, Home Town, Pirates and of course Disney and candy is always good. (Pirates Night is Wednesday I believe, so if ye is giving pirate themed treasures ye might want to exchange before then.)

4. Individuals or Room only. It's recomended individuals, ye group has a wide range of young mates. Thy thinks that each mate would really like their own gifts. Although this is left up to the exchanger ye matey.

5. Value; that is variable, Thy matey believes that it is the thought that counts, not how much ye gold thy spends. Don’t spend a lot, think small, remember, we have to take them home in our treasure chests.

6. Bring something extra just in chase ye spots a mateys room with a FE that let it slip thy brain to sign up.

7. Have loads and loads of fun hunting and search for each cabin to leave your treasures upon the ye' mates Great FISH EXTENDERS!!!!

thanks to all my fellow mates for putting up with my attempts to pirate: pirate speak...

it all looks GREAT!

we cannot wait!!!

dd6 rolled her little tink suitcase in my bedroom last night and proceeded to tell me that she had her big sister sit on the suitcase to shut it, i asked what the suitcase was for and she said "i packed for the cruise all by myself mommy"!! and she did, 9 pairs of panties, lots of littlest pet shops, 6 nightgowns, 6 outfits and not ONE bathing suit! needless to say, we repacked together and i believe SHE is the most excited of ALL in our family! :cutie:

Congrats on the upgrade! Alas, we're still in our SPH rooms but I'm happy. I checked the site again yesterday and Disney must have been starting their upgrades then because there are fewer and fewer rooms available. NO 6 - 7 - 8! And only 4 cat 4s and 2 cat 5s now. Still a handful of 9 and up, but folks that's it. So if you're in 10 thru 12 you might get lucky but other than that it's probably not going to happen.... :(

Sue, the above post cracks me up! Thanks for playing along so well and getting us in the Pirate spirit. I hereby profess to follow all of yer rules and behave in a piraty way. Arrrgh!

I will most definitely make the meet but I can't promise my dh or his parents will. I'll drag along at least one kid with me though. LOL

The closer the cruise gets the more I don't really want to pack.... I'm so tired and just not in the packing mood because of it. Anyone know a little fairy you can send to tell my 2 year old to sleep through the night again? We're 4 months into getting up at least once a night, sometimes 5 or 6 times. It's wearing on me really, really bad, and his behavior is affected too. I had hoped he'd "fix" it by the time we cruised, but so far it's no better. I'm at my wit's end!

I had so much else I was going to reply to but now I've forgotten. Oh, I know one thing... We are not celebrating any birthdays on board and now I'm feeling left out! :) I cannot believe how many of you are celebrating birthdays! That's really cool! I hope for my 40th dh will take me on a cruise. Maybe I should plant that seed now (I'm 32) and by then he'll have it all set up on his own to surprise me. Ha! The chances are probably slim! :)

Please let me know if I can do anything to help behind the scenes with our meet up or FE exchange. I really am grateful for the work and lists that have been put together so far. You guys ROCK!

OMGGGGGG!!! dont even get me started!! honey, i can SO relate! now, mind you, my sleepless one is my 8 year old daughter, and i made the HUGE mistake of putting her in MY BED and she cannot sleep without me there and touching me!

1...2...3...COLLECTIVE SIGH!! what we need to say all together is "THIS TOO SHALL PASS......."!!!

Ahoy! WE shall make it work me young lass! Thank ye mightily for thee hard work ye has put into this. Argh - tis a fine list we have going!

Sue, thanks for the list.
Hope you don't mind but I thought it might be easier for the sake of delivery if we kept the list in "deck order"?

Well while I was checking to see if our room changed it did... but it was downgraded! So I called DVC and apparently there was some mixup. DVC had us in 7092 a cat 5 and disney cruise had us in 6600 a cat 6. So after spending an hour on the phone there were no cat 5 available so we tried to get a better cat 6 (no adjoining room) So now we're in a different room. I'm not too happy about it because it was their mixup and I had to spend all my time trying to get it corrected! Oh well I guess at least we'll still be in paradise :goodvibes

Can we get it changed on the FE list that we're in 6652 now? Thanks!

Sue, thanks for the list.
Hope you don't mind but I thought it might be easier for the sake of delivery if we kept the list in "deck order"?
