February 28, 2009 Bushwacker Banditos Magical Cruise

How is everyone??

What an adorable puppy-good luck with your new baby....

Only 7 shopping days til Christmas :santa: so six more working days for me.:cheer2:
This season has sped by very quickly but I do wish it would slow down a little.

I think that we have decided to stay at the Marriot the night before the cruise. The airport hotel is convenient but almost double the price. I would rather save that money for the bar!!!!!:drinking1

I have asked out TA about a price change and she tells me that she will try to find out today if we will indeed get an onboard credit. My fingers are crossed!!:wizard:

I hope that everyone has a great day!!!:dance3:

Cute puppy Donna! We would love to get the kids a dog someday but right now it just doesn't work because we don't have the room for one to run. In a couple of years we plan to relocate to the east coast and buy some land. Then we'll look at getting a dog. I'd love a golden retriever.

Besides, our house is currently being run by our 2 cats, and they would certainly veto any prospective puppy purchase... :lmao: One of our cats is a HUGE orange tabby, about 3 times the size of your puppy. He's 11 years old and can stand on his back legs and put his nose and front paws on the kitchen counter. He's BIG! And he's a wimp... our other cat, about half his size, rules the roost... lol.

It is slowly warming up here. Might creep up to -20 today.
(When you are happy to see -20, it's time to go south. :sad2: )

Happy hump day, everyone. Have a great rest of the week.

John

so wanted to share info with all you about my week.
I was sick sunday and monday, but sunday I went to work even when I was sick. Monday stayed home, tuesday had off and my cat Minnie, who has been around most of my life like since I was 3 years old or 4 years old hasn't been doing well lately and she was worse yesterday hasn't been eating, can't get up stairs well and is just is bad shape, so it was pretty hard to watch here yesterday. I love her being around her almost all my life it is hard to see her like this, but cryed last night, couldn't cry around my dad only my mom because she understands more. Dad took Minnie to the vet this morning I don't know how she is yet, but I'm not to worried, I mean sure I am worried about her but she has lived a long life for a cat, as my mom told me all the cats she has had seem to want to live as long as possible, is dead I will understand, it was hard to see her like that yesterday. Here are pictures of her. The pictures were taken the day before halloween

I'm feeling better allergies but I'll leave and yeah she did become part of the family, it wasn't so hard knowing she was old and going to pass away some time, but it was really hard to see her not being able to do things yesterday I think that got to me most, because it's just a poor animal and you don't know if she is feeling pain or not.

Marla, glad to hear you are feeling better. How is Minnie? She is a pretty cat.

Rookie Mouse, your positive attitude about your weather just puts a smile on my face. :) I'm not sure I could be as happy as you to see -20....

That must be one huge cat!!!! We have a border collie that stays outside and he acts brave but is really a big scaredy cat.

Dory had a play date last night with my DS's puppy, Kya, a 6 month old Shiba Inu. Dory would chase after Kya but when Kya would turn she'd hightail it to me or another tiny place that Kya couldn't get into. We had lots of laughs watching them play tag! Dory has also discovered the Christmas tree and has gotten in trouble for taking off a couple of ornaments. I just put unbreakable ones on the bottom but don't want her to get the hooks in her mouth. I think she is starting her "terrible twos"!!!!

Gosh, is it only Thursday....this has been a long week...but I have so much to do to get ready for Christmas....why am I posting on here when I should be working????...could it be that this is more fun?????

TTYL!

TTYL!

we put her to sleep yesterday, it was for the best. She was in really bad shape the vet said, her kidneys were failing because that is what usually happens to indoor cats, she was 18 so old for a cat. I got to see her before my dad put her in the ground, so that was good because it was like a goodbye and that's what I wanted. Because I didn't see her yesterday morning. So I hate to be mean saying it but it actually helpped seeing her not in pain anymore, don't get me wrong though I miss her and will never forget her and like you said she was a pretty cat

I'm so sorry about your cat, Marla. I know how hard it is to say goodbye to a beloved pet. They become such a part of your family and you miss them so much when they are gone. I'm glad you got to say goodbye and you're right, it is good to know that she isn't in pain any longer. I know you will always treasure your memories of her.

I am so sorry Marla. I know how you feel, I have always had cats in my life and seeing them go makes me so very sad, but I try to focus on the good times... and if I really got sad I would think of that one time they really did something that made me mad and somehow I felt a wee bit better :rotfl: . Cats can be such handfuls when they want to be naughty.

Guys... it is 70 days to the cruise!!! :dance3: I can't wait! By the time New Years rolls by we will be oh-so very very close!

Wow only 70 more days to go. All I know is that after this holiday seaso. At the airport, due to the weird weather across the country, it is a nightmare. This cruise can not come fast enough. Only problem with that is, it will be gone as fast as it came.

I've always lived with Cats my whole life. never remember a time without cats, my mom had cats when I was born that have passed away before Minnie. And I'm doing what you actually said think about good times, i was sad the day she was put to sleep because I didn't see her that day to say goodbye, but my dad let me see her before he put her in the ground, so that actually made me feel much better to know she is not in pain and the fact that he took really good care of her that day also. Yeah cats can be a handful, my cat was:lmao:. We will miss her though, she was good at catching mice, now who's going to do it

Happy holidays to everyone. Last night mine started, the first of eight crazy nights(well at least according to Adam Sandler). My Father in law got me a $25 gift card to Best Buy. Also it is turning into a very profitable season as I am raking in the OT because of the weather problems around the country. Combine that with the 5 1/2 days of pay I get for working 16 hours on xmas, all I can say is cha-ching.

... and the second round of Bushwhackers is on Alan... :-)

Merry Christmas everyone! Hope your holidays are wonderful and rejuvenating... just like I'm expecting our cruise to be.

John :santa:

I thought I would put some of the extra money to my DVC loan or my annual dues.

Alan....what good is your working overtime if the rest of us can't benefit from it?!?!?! HA HA! :lmao:

Everyone - old friends and new: hope you all have a good December holiday, no matter which one(s) you celebrate. :grouphug:

We're planning for our annual New Year's Eve bash in addition to Christmas at home, and in NJ on Friday, and with my cousin on Sunday. A whirlwind to be sure. But... it is "the MOST wonder-ful time...of the year!"

Happy happy everyone! Johnna :santa:

I hope that everyone has a happy holiday!!:tinker: :tinker:

Our trip is coming up quickly.....
