February 27th 2011 Mexican Riviera aboard the Wonder

So 2:30? is that good for everyone?
So very excited!

2:30 in the Promenade lounge works, so lets just go ahead and plan on that! Unfortunately it does seem to be at the same time as the ship tour, so some people will not be able to make it. A second meet could be be planned as well (I say "planned" loosely as all we're doing is picking a time and place - well, that and I do plan on bringing crayons and coloring pages for the little ones).;) We (my family) are not planning on doing the ship tour even though it's our first cruise. Give me a map and I'm good.:)

Okay, need to get back to the real world. Cannot wait to be on that ship!
:cool1:

2:30 works for us! Boy I can't wait for this cruise...all 4 of us are sick right now, so we are not having a good time...however, at least it is this week and not next week that we are sick! We should be good to go by the time the cruise starts!

I hope you're all feeling better soon DisneyZell, like you say at least it is this week and not next

2.30 is good for me for the meet. Maybe anyone doing the tour could come along after the tour finishes to say hello to everyone.

2:30 works good for me. We have been on the Wonder twice, so we will not be doing a ship tour. We are looking forward to the cruise and meeting new people.

Almost there!

I live in LA and thought for sure the rain wouldn't arrive in February (since it hadn't all month) and now it looks like it might rain next week.

Hoping that it doesn't rain on our departure date! Either way I'm happy our time is almost here. Just hoping for some warmer weather since our friends from Canada are coming with us and I know they would love a lil bit of sunshine.

So let the packing begin!

According to all the forecast sites I looked at it is raining on Friday 2/25 but will be clear Sat & Sun...not warm but clear...I am praying for good weather. Was glad to read the pools are heated, that will help.

I really hope it doesn't rain on Sat and Sun...we are planning on going to the San Diego Wild Animal park on Saturday with our friends who live in LA and with my parents who live in Palm Desert...that would sure put a damper on those plans! Of course, I will take any kind of weather as long as it doesn't involve any more snow! I am ready for some warm weather! The other day it was below zero here!:scared1: Luckily it is supposed to be high 40's today and tomorrow...I never thought I would ever think 40's would be warm! Today I have to try to figure out how to get everything packed in as few suitcases as possible...these FE gifts are making it very hard!:) I'll manage somehow and I think the kids will be taking more on their carryon's. See everyone soon!

Okay everyone needs to start praying for good weather...the forecast is now saying rain for Sun. 2/27! Do we get a sail away party if it rains?

Last year when we were in the Med it was raining on our last night so they had it inside. Hopefully this will be the case this time as well if it is raining.

hey disney -lover we can just wear our England soccer shirts in the rain and it will feel just like back home

Will hopefully be at the meet at 2.30pm. Can I ask, where is the promenade lounge?

Also, can anyone remind me of the port times for Cabo and Puerta Vallarta please, as I can't find them!! Still not booked any excursions, am not doing disney ones as too expensive, but can't book any others as don't know times we're there!

This is what I have for port times:

PV: 7:30 am - 7:00 pm
Cabo #1: 11:15 am - 7:00 pm
Cabo #2: 7:15 am - 2:30 pm

And I really, really hope it doesn't rain for the sail away...I just can't imagine it being the same if it is held indoors. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed. Only 6 more days till we leave for warmer weather!:yay:

Hi all:)

We will hopefully be there for the meet up as well- my kids could use some friends on the ship. My DD is painfully shy and my oldest has high functioning autism and often interacts socially awkward so its hard for him to meet friends.

We leave at 5 am on Thursday to go to Disneyland for 3 days before the cruise. Unfortunately the weather is not looking good:( accuweather and weather.com are both saying a cpl days of cold/sunny and then 2 days of rain (inc the day we sail). Hopefully it changes but otherwise we are packing cold weather clothes- not the norm for our DL trips.

I also emailed DCL to see what the movies would be on our sailing and this was their response:

Oceans
Toy Story 3 (3D)
The Sorcerer's Apprentice
Step Up (3D)
You Again
Secretariat
Tangled
Tron Legacy (3D)
Gnomeo & Juliet (3D)
I Am Number Four

Wow, there are lots of movies I want to see :Tron, Gnomeo and Juliet, I am Number 4, Tangled (for a 3rd time...I heart that movie), You again, and Oceans. At that rate I will hardly have time for any other activities lol

Really hoping there isn't any rain. We had rain for the 1st Pirate Night back in 2006 and they moved it indoors. It was nice they still had something but definitely NOT the same. Oh well...Disney can't control Mother Nature!

I am still going to be hopeful and bring some swimsuits. I have 2 water based excursions booked but I am debating canceling my Cabo one and just hanging on the boat, maybe enjoying the rainforest room. Tough call! Anyone else having trouble deciding on plans? I just keep going back and forth!

I week from tomorrow.....cannot wait!

Our local news station is reporting that the low that is off in the Pacific is kinda lingering out there and it is hard to know for sure if it will rain this weekend. Keeping our fingers crossed that it doesn't rain! Looks like it will be chilly (for LA) though. Either way....I'm happy! :cool1:

FE done and packed, now onto clothing. Do we have a final count on FE?
Our State Room is 5142.

You haven't answered in the FE post or emailed or PMed me. Please check out my reply to you in post #195: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2489901&page=13

I can add you, but not until I know that you are okay with the set up and you email me the needed info so I can get you on the list and send you everyone's info. Thanks!
