February 27th 2011 Mexican Riviera aboard the Wonder

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone who is posting about what is in their "cruise bag". Question: Do you think an extension cord would be enough (instead of the power strip)? Was hoping for double duty with hair dryer and being able to move around (and out of the way)!
One thing I'm bringing for sure...a room freshening spray. Oh yeah, and my Kindle.

I think it depends on how many things you have charging. I prefer to have the power strip just stay in one spot charging everything, while I use the extension cord to "move" power where I want it.

Thanks so much! I'm thinking the extension cord should be enough for us...not that much to charge up.

As for a group meet... Just read about the popular spot and time is the Promenade Lounge on day one at 3:00 PM. It should be enough time for a quick meet & mingle before heading off for the safety drill and sail away party! Okay with everyone? I'll try to think of something fun for the kids to get them involved!

Sounds great to me!

This cruise is just what I need....we got more snow overnight. The boys had a 2 hour delay (which was nice not having to rush this morning!). I just can't wait for some warm weather!

Have enjoyed reading everyone's posts. My family is booked on the cruise as well DS 8, DS 5, DD 3. We haven't told the kids yet but I am so excited I can hardly stand it. A little overwhelmed with trying to figure out what to pack so keep those lists coming, they are so helpful. Anyone that's familiar with the MR, is the ocean pretty calm or choppy? Bummed we missed out on the FE, but now that I know about it will get involved earlier for a future cruise! Sounds like fun and I look forward to see everyone's decorations!!! Look forward to reading more posts!:cool1:

Has anyone not received their cruise docs yet? My friend who lives in Canada and is also on the same cruise with us got hers last week so I'm wondering how much longer till we get ours...

Just curious...

Oh and I loved the ziplock idea! Thanks!

We haven't received our docs yet, either. No worries.

We're up for the meet & greet @ 3:00.

FOUR WEEKS!

We haven't recieved ours yet, either! Actually had totally forgotten about it! Guess I've got something else to be excited about!

No cruise docs for us either. I always love getting them...at least then you know you are almost there! On Friday night my youngest son and I watched our DVD's my DH had put together for two of our cruises...it got me so excited about going. It was very hard not to tell DS that he will be on the ship sooner than he thinks!

No docs here yet. I can't believe it's only 28 days away! I am ready for some warm weather and sunshine!:cool2:

Hi Everyone,

We haven't received our docs yet either.

A 3:00 meet and greet on the first day sounds great to us.

We have some friends on the current sailing, so I am anxious for them to come back to give me a cruise update and let me see the Navigators.

Woo Hoo...we got our docs today! Very official looking too. I haven't see the spiral notebook before. I do find it odd that the itineray in the booklet still shows us going to Mazatlan...I also thought we were supposed to get a letter from DCL telling us of the change...we never got that! Since I just booked the dolphin swim in Cabo for the 2nd time we are there, I will go on the assumption we are still not going to Mazatlan:)

I have been catching up on all of the news, so many changes, oh well, I am on vacation.:cool1: We finally recieved our cabin number. Plan to go to meet and greet at 3p.m. Working on my Fish extenders, were do I finish signing up to give our cabin number and find out details for exchanges?

Yeyyyy! For those that got their cruise docs already!

Another cruise doc question from me....my friend got hers via FedEx...are they all mailed out via FedEx? Just curious bc we are not home during the day when FedEx would deliver....

We are on the second seating for dinner and I'm just wondering how my kids are gonna hold up that late to hang out and be up since they are 5 and 3 and usually go to bed around 8:30pm. I know I'll be able to grab them food before our dinner time but I'm REALLLLYYY hoping they'll won't become crankypants and be able to stay up that late. Hoping that Dine and Play works out for us...

we have our docs too today, we are newbies so inside are the luggage tags and a booklet, that's all we need?:goodvibes
