February 25, 2006 Western Magic Cruisers!!

Paczki's are donuts. Usually with jelly in them, made for Fat Tuesday or Shroves (sp) Day. Actually they sell them all through Lent here. Rather than Mickey Waffles how about Krispy Kreme jelly donuts for substitution? :rotfl2: I know how to pack on the pounds don't I? My Polish is showing!

Karen, I read in an earlier review that Kinos is closed on Sundays-say it isnt sooo :sad2: I hoping the person just got there too late? Do you happen to know the hours on Sundays? I couldn't find it on the website. You're also way ahead of me-I've got the haircut (major), waxing and pedicure all planned for the week before. Lets hope they turn out well, I've had some bad scenes when I was young around prom time.

Duh! I have used Oriental Trading in the past. How about we roll a Mardi Gras theme into our Sunday get together? I agree that we will try to get together on Sat. for the kids sake at least -what time and at Goofys?

The excitement is building-the planning is so much fun for me it can almost be a letdown when I actually get onboard.--Almost.

Congrats to those of you doing the doc dance today! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Twolittle monkeys - we plan on getting to the port when it opens, the girls will hang out and watch movies and such. When the date draws near we can pick a time and spot to meet. On our first cruise we had absolutely no problem getting palo reservations once we were on board. We'll be doing the same this time, as I was lazy and skipped right over our date to prebook!

Edinafabs - My daughters would love to hear from someone. P.M. me with or for personals and we'll get them started. Do you have any other children cruising with you?

Mardi Gras - Here's a test, we are not only missing Mardi Gras here, but also Panczki Day! Those of you who knows what this means understand why it is sad, others of you probably just think I'm crazy. Any guesses? :hourglass
Feiste,
We posted a message earlier about possibly having the kids meet as well. We have two daughters 8 & 5 who are always looking for a good time. Our 5 year old is a "girly girl" a lot of the time, but she also loves sports. We haven't quite figured her out yet. We should get to the port around 10:30 as well. Let us know. Take care, Crissy

Susanne!! I love that idea! :thumbsup2 How fun would that be?? :woohoo:

I definitely better get to OTC for some supplies. Geez, where to start...beads, hats, glow sticks....I just may need a separate bag for the Mardi Gras goodies!! :rolleyes1

Can't wait!!

Moira

I have tons of beads from Universal Orlando Mardi Gras trips. I'll throw em ALL in my bag, since I'm not flying anywhere the weight won't be an issue.

Melanie

I just went and picked up our documents at AAA. One less thing to worry about .........................!!!!!

the pirate show was different but if I tell you it will spoil your surprise.
Just go to the party and keep one eye towards the front funnel.

We'll probably head to the pool for most of the day,
so if you plan a Sat meet, let us know ;)

DW SallyB is at OTC now stocking up...
If you have it MardiGras at the Sat meet, then we'll stroll around KeyWest like that... wouldn't you want others on the ship to say "What are we missing here", or see how many people actually know that this is just a remote Mardi Gras.
Looks like the actual day is the 28th - anytime that day tio Celebrate ?
or Do it Monday while at sea ?? just a thought

Has anyone been to Stingray Reef/Beach? I've been reading about people going on different excursions and I really want to try one a I think this would be so cool!! The snorkeling as well. My DS is 9 and he's giving me crunched face looks when I mention this. I so want him to experience this... even if it's from the boat. Any thoughts or suggestions?

~Sally :thanks:

PS.. I love your Marti Gras idea :jester: I'm getting some beads and stuff, as well as priate stuff for that party all at OTC. This is so much fun :rainbow: :mickeyjum :goofy: :donald: :simba: :dumbo:

Hi Guys!!!!!
Well.... I was going to do a quote response but there were too many things to say to too many people!! And I was the one that thought that MAYBE the thread would slow down the 2 weeks before!! Funny me!!! :lmao:
I am wondering now when Pirate night is? pirate: I am starting to get confused. For a minute I thought it was the night we are in Coz (or wherever) but know I am thinking it is the second sea day.
CONGRATS TO ALL that got their docs!!!!  :cheer2: :cheer2: :yay: :yay: :Pinkbounc
:thumbsup2
I am leaving all hair removal for 2 days before!!! :lmao: :lmao: (really not joking though... think I just shared too much info !!! :rotfl2: ) No sense plucking eyebrows any sooner than need be!!! :3dglasses
I think I have the correct Mickey color... made my little pin but am thinking I better make another as I will wear it on boarding day!!
Well everyone... I am SO looking forward to meeting everyone!!! :grouphug:

I think doing Mardi Gras on Monday while we are at sea would be great. Me and DH have Mardi Gras T-shirts that we can wear and I think the kids that are familiar with Mardi Gras would love to show the other kids how to toss a few beads to the crowd. We would just have to make sure they toss gently so we don't upset Disney. :jester:

I was considering shipping king cakes to the ship before our arrival. Those usually only take a day to be delivered. YUMMMMMMMM

[Formal Night is Monday,
Pirate Night is Wednesday, Bring your eye patches
Semi-Formal Night is Thursday.
]
so we add Mardi Gras day to MonDAY at sea & then those that want to be formal can [ I'll be Marding into the night ]

OK, for those of us that have never been, please explain Mardi Gras attire ?
I was thinking colored beads (seems Green, Gold, & Purple), masks, and bodies paints, drinking & celebrating was the theme :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Now you are tossing a bead necklace? not individual beads, for having these little ball beads rolling around could be dangerous..
unless you are trying to cut down on a few tenders for Grand Cayman :headache:  :faint:

Moira

Can always buy extra beads & set the kids up at a table selling stuff, to help them pay for their arcade tab :lmao: :rotfl2:
Just think it can work toward Math school work they may miss

Can always call Disney & tell them we have 200 members that will be celebrating Mardi Gras sytle Monday afternoon, & it would be great if they could set up the buffett that way.... Bet Mickey & Minnie would look GREAT in beads..
Anyone got any inside connections ???
