February 25, 2006 Western Magic Cruisers!!

We'll be on this cruise too. We're going with Kellimomo3 and two other families. There are five of us: me, my husband, two daughters (age 10 and 8) and our son (age 6). This is our second cruise on the Magic. We're looking forward to it already.

I am dd 10 me and my mom have been looking for someone my age. I hope we can start "talking" before the cruise

I didn't get mine yet, but we are hopefull. Did anyone book with Costco, if so did you get your documents yet? We are anxiously (sp?) awaiting the paperwork. Holli, I too am cheering for the Seahawks, I like Mike and Matt.

Jennifer, we have the "hidden verandah" and I'd love to do a cabin crawl, even if that doesn't happen you are welcome to see our cabin. We had the secret porthole cabin last time and enjoyed that.

Ah, yes, memories of the Konk Cooler. Castaway Cay was paradise when we were there and sipping the Konk C. made it all that much sweeter.

Congrats to everyone doing the Doc Dance but I'm not dancing yet.

Hi Judy. We booked with Cruise World out of Delafield. My TA called Disney today and got the tracking number for the docs. She called me back and told me they were in Oak Creek and that she would probably get them tomorrow.

I have no idea what a Konk Cooler tastes like but I can not wait to have one!! ( or two.... )

Hi Judy,
We booked with Costco. I think the reason we don't have our docs yet is that they have to go from DCL to Costco in Washington State, then to our homes.

Everyone is really excited. DS6 is already "packing" the stuff he wants to take on the trip . . . .

Woke up to rain again today. So much for any snow they made downtown for the Super Bowl activities

For those of us staying by MCO on Friday, do you want to try to have a mini DIS meet? I know of a great family-run ice cream joint a couple of miles up the road from the airport.

Not us. We've been to Cozumel and Grand Caymen before and had wonderful food. I've read good reviews about the food and drinks at Costa Maya. If you are concerned, sticking with bottled water/beer and bringing some food from the ship should keep you heathy, wealthy, and wise . . .

For those of you who are having a pre-cruise party, I did a search and found this recipe:

Konk Kooler

1/2 can of cream of coconut or 1 12 oz. can of pina colada mix
3 oz. light rum
3 pz. dark rum
1/2 of a 12 oz. can frozen passion fruit juice concentrate (welche's)
4 oz. O.J. concentrate
2-3 cups of ice
Add ingredients in a blender and blend until very fine

Enjoy!

We booked through Costco too, and we haven't received our docs. either.

Rick, I had to laugh at your previous post because my 6 yr. old packed his stuff already too. It's so cute.

Feiste...I somewhat worry!! I've been to Puerto Vallarta and got sick while I was there. NOT FUN!!! So like Rick says we will be sticking to bottled water/beer or canned/bottled soda! No ice!

I cant belive that we only have 3 weeks left!!

Hi Rick/all. We are also on the 2/25 Magic Cruise. It will be me, DH, DS (7), and two other families. 12 of us in all. This is our second cruise but our first Disney cruise. We booked back in May and now the wait is unbearable.

Guess I need to read up on this thread to find out what is going on......Hope to meet some of you!

Welcome to all the newcomers!!! We ARE getting closer!!
As far as food... I had plans to go to a nice little restaurant on the island since we didn't have to be back on the ship til later that evening. I checked out alot of the restauants and the critiques'. However... it is seeming like we may not go there and if we DO go to Costa Maya I heard there are really not alot of restaurants there. SO.... we will probably do breakfast and dinner on the ship and bring snacks from the ship for when we are on the island.
I was wondering if the ship serves sushi on any kind of regular basis.
I have not received my docs yet but am stillvery excited!!! Played a Disney Classics CD in the car for the grandaughter today and my 25 yr old daughter started singing all the songs!!! (guess she really IS getting excited!!).
Well, I am here in Florida outside of Tampa and we are getting tons of ran. Definately possible flooding and I HEARD we are in a tornado watch. We DID need the rain and at least it may be greener for when you all come down here!!!

Yup, tornado watch here in Orlando too. My oldest was sick this morning so I decided to keep my 4 year old home from Pre-K too and we're all having a jammie day! So I've lounged here with the laptop checking out all the cool stuff we have to look forward to - I think I need to make some magnetic door signs!

I filled out all my documents this morning, I think I'm developing carpal tunnel syndrome Had to call DCL for a couple questions on the Bahamas form and let's just say the pixie dust had not made it to someone's cubicle this morning - ugh! But we'll chalk it up to the rain I'm sure she had to drive through to get to work this morning.

So excited - only 3 weeks!

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe that it is only 3 weeks until cruise time!! I am so excited!

We are flying out on Friday the 24th as well to hopefully avoid any bad weather delays! We are staying at I believe the Radisson in Cocoa Beach the night before.

How are we coming with the dis meet and greet? I would love to meet you all! I was just rereading the thread (wow, it is long !!) and I just can't believe how close the cruise is!! Now I remember reading something about the Mickey paint chips...Are we going with the Alien Green? I am thinking I might make mine into a pin and wear it at the hotel the night before in the event anyone else from the boards is staying there as well!

Can't wait for that sun!!

Hi Moira!! We are staying at the Radisson in Port Cananveral. Is there one in Cocoa Beach also? I think those of us who are staying at the Radisson should try to get together the night of the 24th. I know another DISer, Judy, talked about meeting by the pool the night before!

I planned on making a pin also with my DIS screen name and wearing it at the hotel and when we get onboard the ship! Just in case we spot someone while waiting to board! And yes it still is the alien green!
