Sallyc,

If you plan to put a Mickey on your door, don't forget to put a magnet on the back: I read that you can't tape anything on your door. :)

I just found out about this site. We are also going on the cruise. I need to start reading the 10 pages that have already been posted.

I read a little bit about putting something on the outside of your door???? Did I miss the first message about that?

Also the documents...??

We are flying into Orlando and then staying at Cocoa Beach the night before the cruise.. Will I be getting documents? Do I need to worry that I don't have the documents yet?

Any last minute things that I need to know about? I feel unprepared but we are really looking forward to going.

My husband and I our two kids that are 5 1/2 and 4 are coming and my parents.

I look foward to reading more posts and learning!

Thanks!

two weeks to go :cheer2: :cool1:  I have started packing our things, my husband is going to wait until the last minute. We will be coming in on the 23rd and staying by the port. I have been told that all you will need is your birth certificate and photo id. I don't think your required to have a passport until summer. Does anyone know where to find the princess dresses for a good price???

Thanks so much for all of the offers but I couldn't pay my mom enough money to get on a boat. LOL She wanted to go to Florida... and is so excited about going to Disneyworld afterwards... but there are some friends that she's met on the internet that she's been wanting to meet in person for years and now she's going to.

Glad to hear that our cabin isnt that bad. I am just going to ask at the pier if there is anyway that we can upgrade.

We are so excited about our trip. I guess I won't worry too much about docs.

Just curious... is anyone traveling without a passport?? We were told by the cruise lines that it wasnt required and all we needed was a birth certificate. So we never got one. I know Homeland Security isnt requiring a passport until Summer.

Back when we booked they hadn't delayed the passport restriction yet so we already have ours. This will be my first trip out of the country with a passport. All the other times I have been out of the country I had a little green card that got me everywhere I needed to go.

DW started packing the snorkel equipment yesterday. It's gonna be a long few days lol.

I just ordered a costume from disney.com (under the outlet) there were some good deals and I think we will for sure get it before the cruise.

Do you know if we need to bring beach towels????

I am (trying) to begin packing, also....did some much needed shopping this weekend for my daughter--who needed some swimsuits--and it wasn't much fun! We sure earn these vacations by trying to cover all the bases and prepare to leave, don't we?

I have a couple of questions--can anyone help me?

Are capris acceptable dress for dinner on the Wonder? (I understand no shorts, t-shirts, etc.)

Is bottled water included in our cruise, or is only available for purchase? How much does a 24-pack on the room service menu cost??? I know we will drink a lot of bottled water and am wondering if it is worth packing a case to take along.

Also--we are first-time Disney Cruisers and will also be going to one park at Disney World the day before the cruise. We have 13 and 11-year old kids--can anyone recommend a park if we are only able to go to one?

Thanks, everybody!

The water on board is fine to drink, in fact it's distilled water so it's probably better for you then the stuff you get in the bottle.

Some people do take a case of bottled water. I seem to remember if you are going to have it checked to your cabin they want the case taped with duct tape or something to keep the bottles from spilling out as it's being handled. Most people just carry it on.

Capris will be perfectly acceptable for dinner. Some will be more dressed up, some less. I'm sure there will be people in shorts.

Don't bring bottled water unless you're picky about your water. A water bottle with a built in filter would be a better option if you really have to have filtered water.

Personally, I would say Epcot. I LOVE Epcot: test track, soarin', mission space, all the countries, the big golf ball.

But if your kids have never been, go to the Magic Kingdom. I've personally been there so many times that I would pick Epcot over it in a heart beat.

MGM isn't worth it except for the Rockin' Rollercoaster and a few other rides.

So I got all excited when I realized that a package from my TA came in the mail today. It was just the info about when I can start reserving Palo and shore excursions etc. Darn it! I wanted my docs!!!!:headache:

With all the talk about people doing Parasailing, now I'm sort of sitting here thinking, maybe I want to do parasailing. I'm afraid of it, so it would be a good opportunity to get over that fear and try something that I normally wouldn't get to try. But we only have so much time on CC.

Oh well...we'll see.

We are also coming from MN are you coming the day before? I have heard that you don't want to miss Disney World if you haven't ever been there, our kids are younger and think it might be too much.

Hello everyone and welcome to all newcomers! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. Busy piling up things for the magical trip and voyage.

I was able to purchase the Disney Cruise Passporter (was difficult to get, had to order and wait). Thanks for the tip.

We are meeting @ the Promenade @ 3p.m. on the 24th?. Looking forward to meeting everyone there.

We haven't received our documents yet. I will probably call about them tomorrow we leave on the 21st.

Did I see someone going to WDW before the cruise? So are we, we'll be @ the Poly from the 21st til the 24th.

Did I read someone packing snorkeling equipment. I'm thinking of packing my daughter's its probably a good idea, minus the flippers.

I was wondering about the water situation too. I read a tip somewhere about bringing water bottles and also duct tape, would anyone know what it would be used for besides packing a case of water bottles? Maybe packing more things you accumulate while on vacation?

I'm thinking of packing a couple of big beach towels too. Packing will be challenging due to the length of total stay and our airline regulations 50# each, two per person. Anything additional this airline hits you hard w/ extra fees. So carefully beginning to accumulate then pack, the plan is to be all packed by the end of this weekend.

So excited here!!!

Regards,

Kim, John & Gianna (9) celebrating her 10th on the 25th

Welcome aboard LOML! :welcome:

Welcome aboard MinnesotaMouse! :welcome:

Unless you plan to go to the beach in Nassau, there is no need to pack beach towels. There are some by the pools and they hand you as many as you need when you get off at Castway Cay.

Give me my docs!! My DH keeps reminding me of how patient I am..NOT!
I have never looked so forward to the mail before. Maybe tomorrow:goodvibes

Sole, thanks for the info on the magnet.

I have 9 days before we leave (at 3 am!), 5 more days of work, not that Im counting:woohoo:

We finally got our docs !!!:cool1:

My TA sent them to me today and I can't believe they're here. We received our ME luggage tags and WDW package and cruise documents for our group of 9. Everything was packed in a box that looks like a suitcase...I'll try to post a picture of it. It`s so cute.:goodvibes

We are staying at the Pop Century before the cruise and we are using Disney cruise bus transfers but I`m unsure of which resort we are being picked up from. My TA had mentioned it would either be the Swan or Dolphin but I couldn`t see that anywhere in the docs. I guess I will have to get in touch with her or Disney Cruise tomorrow.

Hope everyone gets their docs soon!

Ok here`s a picture of the box that docs came in. Isn`t it cute ?

My 7 year old wants to use it as his suitcase :woohoo:

Oh you Canadians are lucky, perhaps they send them to Canada sooner.

We are doing the Disney transfer bus too. I asked about pick up time on the 24th @ the resort, was told to have our bags ready @ 8:30 am and pick up @ the Poly @ 11:30.

Thank you for posting the picture of the suitcase. Enjoyed it!

That is sooo cool that you got your docs. Hopefully the rest of us will get them soon. I soo need to get packing. I'm going to be away this weekend, I'll be back on Sunday night, I leave Monday night and am gone until Thursday. Then I just have Friday and part of Saturday before I have to leave for Florida.

Then add to that the fact that I've been feeling ill.

Thank goodness that I didn't plan my flight to Orlando until later on in the evening.

palmickey2005,

That's a really cute box. I understand why your kid wants to use it. ;) We got our docs in a DCL package. But we are not going to WDW before or a large group.

anllily,

I'm sorry to hear you're ill. I'm staying home today because DD is ill. This weekend it was DS. But I keep telling myself it's better now than in two weeks! :scared:
