Thank you. I was talking to my mom last night and she told me that my step dad has it. I never knew. DD made it through work on Monday and Tuesday with regular temps in the single digits and didn't have an issue. It was much colder than it was on Saturday. Yesterday she even forgot to use the hot hands. Does it not always happen when it is cold? We see the pediatrician next Wednesday for this.@piglet1979 and @PAsFab5 I was diagnosed a few years ago. Couple troubleshooting pointers if I may…
If you are having…let’s call it an occurrence…and are needing a shower start with warm water after instead of hot. The sudden temp change can be a little painful. Give your digits a chance the gradually warm, same with hand washing
Heavy socks and serious nail clippers…the skin on the toes can get super thick in the winter as can toenails. Why? No idea but it happens
Lotion hands and feet after an occurrence to prevent dry skin. Sleep in socks and tuck hands into sleeves at night. I sleep in a “comfy” ever night from October to like March and it’s a game changer.
“Madonna gloves” under regular gloves if it’s super cold. That way if you need your finger tips (such as to use a phone) most of your hand will still be covered if you take the first layer off. Related let your fingers warm before trying to use a phone or tablet..they do not like raynauds fingers.
Have some fun and freak out friends who don’t know what it is…ghost white fingers in someone’s face is always good for a laugh
It typically happens when cold but not 100% of the time based on personal experience. I've had instances where its freezing and only one finger might be effected and then days where its 40 and all digits are white. Stress does make it worse, at least for meThank you. I also have migraines and am on both preventative and rescue meds and I have read that this increases the symptoms…however I am literally terrified to make any changes in my meds for my migraines so I don’t know what to really do…She typically does wear hot hand and toes but she didn't on Saturday because it was warmer (I think at some point we were close to 40). She also has rechargeable hand warmers. I did read that migraine medicine can cause it (which she is on), so when we see the neurologist next week, I will ask about it. I do need to get her into the pediatrician about this as well.

We are going to need to rename this thread-The Ones Who Suffer from RainaudsOmg y'all... I've thought I have neuropathy in my feet for several years but now I'm thinking it is Rainauds, or possibly a combo of both. More than anything my feel are cold and to sleep well I have to wear socks and have the electric blanket on. A couple times I've noticed my toes were blue and lately I've had a couple times where my fingertips have gone numb and super cold. This house is spotty cold and the floors are always cold, so I am so glad to be moving into the apartment, which is surrounded by other apartments and has carpet.
I remember back in my girlhood my Mom always said I made good pie crusts because my hands were cold. I don't think there's anything I can/should do differently but my mind is blown with this realization. All the cool kids have blue fingers!
Yes @PAsFab5 got a lot of colors at play…fingers go white toes generally go purple then like screaming red if I warm them back up too quickly. Toes get blisters sometimes too if they are cold for too long. Sometimes it’s a quick hit (couple mins) and have had instances where the cold lasts for hours after warming up. I’m always cold anyway but the digits are worse. I deal with migraines as well but not really bad anymore. Keeping those is check is def more difficult then just investing in some good socks and gloves!
Joked with my gyno I’m waiting on menopause to enjoy the sudden warm ups
When I started having symptoms in 2020, initially i thought maybe it was covid related but my dad was like oh yeah I’ve had that since my 30s…gee thanks for telling me?!?
Now that's looking on the bright side!I remember back in my girlhood my Mom always said I made good pie crusts because my hands were cold.
That is one special dentist!I am thankful that the tooth I chipped/cracked last night can be saved with a crown. I was able to get an emergency appointment today at 2:00, and I was so relieved that I don't need another root canal.
I am thankful that my dentist is so kind. He could tell that I've been stressed out based on my clenching. He told me to stop watching the news and get off of social media because the stress literally caused me to injure myself. He told me to do more art and find healthy ways to deal with everything.
I'm thankful for dental insurance because even though I will have to pay more than $1,000, it would have been over $2,000 without it.
