Well that was a fun drove in this morning. Apple Maps took me the back way to the parking lot, to the cast member only parking. Doh! Had to turn around and put on Waze and it got me to the front of Epcot in no time.

The line to get into the expo (from bib pickup) is backed up into the bib building. And CMs are massively stressed trying to direct people.

It was a hot mess!

I don't know why they just don't give you the shirts/bag at bib pickup. Wait, that's wrong - I DO know, because they want people to go into the expo building and spend money. But, like, people who want to go shopping are gonna shop. Do they really think people who had no intention of shopping are really going to impulse buy that much stuff in the vendor area?

We said the exact same thing yesterday and came to the exact same conclusion. It is so dumb to not give you shirt at bib pickup. Most of us are going to wander into the vendor area anyway. I’m more likely to buy something though, from a vendor, if I’m not cranky from waiting in lines! I had plans to really check out some of those booths but by the time I made it into that building, it was a beeline straight to pick up my shirt and then straight out.

Runners relation line is huge. I don’t need to hop in because cycles start up front. But apparently the POT issue is rampant this weekend

I can verify this! I waited in it. I didn’t time myself but I feel like it was easily an hour wait.

Apparently the power blew at the start line! They are still sending runners by fireworks only.

Thanks to everyone who recommended I talk to runner relations about corral placement. I was in G for the marathon and after talking to them and showing POT, I was moved to B. It was a process though. That line was tough.

Overall, expo day left me cranky, irritable, hangry, and with tired legs and feet. Expo day should be fun and energizing. They need to figure this out. Waited in lines all day. Was able to get a spot in VQ when it opened at 1, since I was on a plane for the first one. We actually ended up leaving, checking into hotel, did a target run for groceries, and back to expo before our group was called. And can we talk about the food options? Was prepared for no refillable beer mug, but still disappointed it was not there. But why in the heck, do the not have more food options? With being there for hours, people need to eat.

Well I had some extra excitement this morning in the form of my front tire going flat on the way to the start area. But thanks to Achilles it was repaired and I was able to finish

At the finish line… they are ready for everything, including a false winner celebration
Some how there was a confusion on the first runner coming in, they put the confetti out big applause.. but no runner… very quick vacuums and blowers out, clean everything and a minute later the winner came in

Top 3-5 runners in they all look like passing out no fun…. Go team not so fast LOL

(Cool to watch the finish line so many smiles and celebrations!… but I’m missing out running, so next year will do)

Ps. Medical team at the finish line is amazing… they react so fast to people coming in in bad condition, kudos to them
