February 2019 Trip Booking

Hi all,

Just starting to look at planning a trip for our family of 5 (2 adults, 13, 7 & 5yos) in February. I've only scratched the surface in my investigations, but I haven't come across any bargains so far. Wondering if any of you experts have hunches/expectations about upcoming deals?

Not sure if we want to stay on-resort or not. This is the first time for my youngest two, so they might appreciate the experience (we stayed on-resort for our first visit when my oldest was 3.) We did enjoy the convenience of being on the dining plan (quick service.) We're coming from Canada, which I know can impact the deals available to us.

You probably won’t see a discount until October/November period. I have a solo trip booked in February for POFQ, but would love to stay at CR. Depending when you would go and if you want to make any TS ADRs you may want to decide soon.

For a family of 5 onsite, Caribbean Beach resort or Port Orleans are cost-effective, but someone will be sleeping on a little folding bed. We prefer to book two connecting rooms at Pop Century for 4 real queen size beds and the extra bathroom!

Of course, staying off-site would allow you to have much more space for half the cost. We have enjoyed several 3 bed/ 2 bath condos in Windsor Hills for well under $1000/week.
