February 2014 Code watch

My mom booked our trip using her credit card, not a disney visa. I have a disney visa. How would I find out if we can get any discounts like the SPD?

There is nothing special released promotion wise for DV holders. If something comes out you would call, apply it and put a new deposit down using your DV.

Hurry up, October 8!
Probably will be like the date my park hours were supposed to post, and it will come and go with no new released info!

Attention February visitors! If you were waiting for 60 days to book your Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party tables, they just changed things up TODAY and made it 180 days. I just booked our party of 5 for 2/26. If you want to get a good table, go make your reservation now!! :cool1:

I think this has been asked before and for that, I do apologize. If I have a room only reservation at BC and a RO discount comes out, will they apply that discount to my current reservation or do I have to start over? (Obviously, I'll call. I don't expect it to be automatic.) Right now the flight I'm looking at is what I would call reasonable, but I don't want to book a flight until I know I can get a room.

When I started planning my reservation for November I had booked FQ and when the discount came out, I called and was able to get room only discount because it was available at FQ, but then I ended up switching resorts for the better deal of free dining. My reservation number never changed at all. They CM just moved things around and applied the discount. Don't know if that was pixie dust because I had booked way back in January or if the CM was able to do that for everyone. I suspect it's an everyone deal.

But be aware that it's only if there is still "discount" rooms available when you call.

I've decided to wait until I know for sure the discounts but already my flights have gone up $50 which is a bummer but I just want to make sure I have a room for the days I need before I book my flight.
Oh ya, I'm talking about February because November my husband is coming and that is a done deal but February it will probably be a solo trip because of circumstances. (I love my Disney Rewards points)
I'm hoping after I book he can meet me down there, but....circumstances.

I will see you there--that's my DS's 8th birthday!

It does not matter the actual time of your reservation for the Dessert Party, you can get in when everyone else does at 7pm. They need to change that, I bet people show up at the actual time they are given and half the party is over...or worse, they miss Wishes all together!

We'll be there on the 26th as well! I was so excited yesterday morning when I saw it open, what a treat!

I got it! I'm so excited! Last trip, this was my son's absolute favorite, #1, ranked even higher than Big Thunder twice in a row without getting off the train! And it'll work out well--this trip, I'll have DS16, he'll get our money's worth by eating his weight in pastry!

I got a ressie for this, never done it before. I hope I like it! It will only be for my DD (6) & I, so it will be something special we're doing without the grandparents!

Because they assign the tables based on date of ticket purchase, I wonder if they times are to help the CMs know where people are supposed to sit?

Hopefully our three DISboard groups all get seats along the rail! :cheer2:

I just checked using same plan, end of Feb 2014 and 6 nights plus 7-day tickets is $2068. :sad1: BUMMER!! And Shaden did the same for January. That number was just under $2000. Shaden suggested just a normal advertisement trying to lure us in!!! Sorry if I got any hearts racing!!

You will love it! We had the best time there last time (Jan.). Our table was far in--last-minute reservation--but the people on the rail let my kids stand by them. I chose to sit so I didn't block the view.

Our name was on the table, so it wasn't a "seat yourself" kind of thing. I would recommend showing up at 7, despite what your reservation time says. And for those with little ones, there's a bathroom right there, to the right of the counter service part. We checked in, got our wristbands, hit the bathroom, and then hit the buffet. BTW, these were paper wristbands, to get you in and out of the Dessert Party, not the RFID wristbands (this may change for next year).

Yep, I got 25% room only at CBR 2/21-2/24 with Disney Visa. Good luck everyone :goodvibes

According to chip and co there is a visa stay, dine and play too. How does that work ?
