February 2014 Code watch

Today is our 180 days so I called to make ADR. The only problem is the park hours for Feb haven't been released yet. So I'd like to choose our dining reservations based on magic hours, but I couldn't. I guess I have to wait til they come out, call back and change any ADRs that don't fit magic hours? Very frustrating.

Hoping for a Feb 14' trip! 2/24-3/2! Looks like S/P/D isn't quite as good as FD for our family, but we can make it work :thumbsup2

Its very easy to figure out.
Now that I just realized there was a price increase on the dining plan as of June 17th I gotta redo my math ;).

I APOLOGIZE to anyone that I gave the old DDP figures to over the past 2 weeks. I didn't consider the recent price increase into my figures.

The DDP will cost you approx $18.88 a night per person at POFQ

The DDP will cost you approx $37.77 per person per night at Pop (upgrade $58.66 adult DDP-$39.64 Adult QS plan=$19.02 + DDp initial cost $)

Go on the Disney website and choose room only. Plug in your dates...and that will give you your room price.

On the Disney website go to tickets only... since you will pay children's price for the tickets just choose the type of tickets at the Childrens rates..

Add those three together and that will give you an approx. total :thumbsup2

So, math is not my strong point and it's been 5 years since my last trip to Disney (feel like I'm in the confessional!)...so based on the p/s/d #s above, for general use of figuring out costs, could I plug in the $18.88 per person for any mod resort and the $37.77 per person for any value resort? And could we still do p/s/d at a value and stay with quick service only or do we need to upgrade to 1 qs and 1ts? The above pricing listed out is for 1 qs and 1 ts, correct? Thank you in advance and again, thank you for posting so much helpful infor about upcoming codes so I can do some pre-planning for a 2-family trip coming up early in February...officially subscribed to this super helpful thread!

We plan on going and staying at AOA with Deluxe Dinning Plan.
Does anyone know how much the DDP will be with SPD ?

Darn. I booked LM at AoA today and was hoping I could use the S/P/D promo. I guess I need to look at the moderate hotels now to get the Standard Dining Plan since I don't want the QS. Do you think I should change hotels now or wait?

All indications are that the LM rooms at AoA will continue to be excluded from any kind of discounts. If you really want to stay in a LM room, whether you have a discount or not, then keep the reservation. Even if you do book a moderate now, it will not guarantee that you will be able to get a S/P/D discount when the offer is released. You will only be able to get the discount if they have unsold rooms available.

Free dining will not be offered.. It's going to be play/stay/dine.
The pins have already gone out.
Should be book able as a general public offer the 1st week of October.
The deadline for the Pincode is mid September. Watch for it to be released as a Disney visa offer shortly after that. About a week after the Dis Visa offer is out it should be book able as a general public offer.

- I don't doubt the scenario you present is correct / likely but I haven't seen official info on this... Have you? Maybe I missed something?

I talked to a CM 2 days ago and she said confirmed this. I asked if we had pins attached to our names and she said no. She said that the only pins that went out for that period expired 2 weeks ago and that the P/S/D will be our deal but it won't come out again until September as a Disney Visa deal and them late September or early October to the general public. I asked also if AoA could get it and was told not LM rooms but it should be offered on suites. That's just one CM's word but it's something at least.

Its not official until its released.
But this is what it will be... Can't say how I have knowledge of the promo ...but I do ;)

People did get some free dining PINs for 2014 in first round that went out in July, at least they claimed they did, anyway. Last fall, I received a FD PIN the day SPD came out, so that could be a possibility too!

Unless you are in the UK there has not been free dining offered for US or Canadian residents via pin or promo for Jan 2014.

That is as per a reliable source that is a member of the Disney Marketing/Promotions team.

I'm hoping for a free dining pin but if not we will have to make due with QS. We have never stayed with just QS so that makes me nervous. We`re also doing base tickets for the first time too. Not sure how we will like not being able to hop !

We were sent a pin for fd in 2014. Would have to go back to the email to get the exact dates, but quite sure it was Jan. thru April with some restrictions. Like fools we didn't book, but now wish we had.
