I arrive 2/2 and prices seemed to peak the past few days, maxing out at about 275 base for an economy through dollar earlier this week and are tending down. Today they are 194 base, so hopefully they will continue dropping!
Save your $$$ and try bidding on Priceline. I got a fullsize for just over $200 during the christmas holidays for 8 days and the best I could find was over $400. You can save 50% on priceline but don't listen to the suggested bid price by priceline.
My only issue with this is I want to make sure it's one of the in airport companies so I don't have to worry about dealing with a shuttle and can just do a grab and go.
I'm hopeful that prices for the week of 2/2 will replicate prices for the week of 1/26 and drop significantly this week!
When bidding on priceline you will only get one of the major car rental companies which are all located at the terminal so NO shuttle.
Just booked Compact with Thrifty for $169/week ($234 total) with code E169T
Also have a mid-size SUV for reserved same week for $189 ($259) with code 5CO6M. Booked that one a while ago.
Haven't decided which to use
Economy though Budget for Presidents week Feb 16- Feb 23rd ( 1 week) is very reasonable at $194 including taxes and fees, thats through the Costco website. I can't do an economy but maybe that will help someone else.![]()
I just checked for my dates through costco and your week is cheaper! I'm going 2/2-2/6...what's going on that it's more expensive than presidents' week? Also, the prices haven't dropped on dollar or thrifty like they did last week for this week. Frustrating!![]()
When I look up 2/2-2/6 on costco I get $184. You have to pick up and drop off at the smae exact time of day or else you end up with additional hour charges. Even for your full week 2/2-2/9 you'll see the price for the week with a compact through budget is $184. Annoying that it costs the same to keep it less!
I am picking up early on 2/2, returning late afternoon 2/6, so it's more expensive...

Well, I found firefly has my same dates for 128 total, so I booked with them. Reviews aren't great, but some DISers have posted decent reviews so I'm keeping my dollar rental as a back up but will hopefully save $75!
For Dollar, I have the express account and my credit card is linked to it, but there's no precharge so I should be fine canceling day of still, right?
The Yelp reviews on Firefly are pretty ugly. If you're still booking through them, I'd read Yelp so you don't get scammed on the pre-paid fuel option that everyone is complaining about.
