February 2013 Discount Watch

Just got it all worked out..after over an hour. I gave them all the codes and she was telling me none of them applied to me. I explained that this was online through the SPD offer that ANYONE can click on. She told me "Oh once you enter your credit card infomration it will update to the price of 5 something something something..I kept saying NO online it is 4800.00. I already put down my deposit so I didnt want to do it again.

After over an hour she was 'able to do it for me this time"..like she was doing me a favor. GEESH. But after all is said and done...just over 2700.00 in savings..ILL TAKE IT!

If you are able to go online I would recommend you book there, I also came up with the same figure as the PP gave you. Something isn't working out right for you when you call in (do you remember if you heard or used reference to code Q69 or Q85?). Make sure you go in through the link in the special offers page for the Play, Stay, Dine and Save offer. http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/special-offers/

Good luck!

What a hassle!:confused3 Good for you you got the right deal; imagine people who don't know any better and don't persist for the correct rate. Glad it worked out for you! :goodvibes

YAY! I'm so glad you finally got it. It shouldn't be that complicated. And she was saying that the website that said 4800 online would change the price after you enter a credit card to book it? Ha! No, it doesn't work that way, and people would be throwing a fit if it did.

I've been out of the loop and only found out about this deal today. We are already booked for AOA/Cars Suite for Feb. I never added dining because I (stupidly) thought FD would be offered. I ran the numbers and to get the regular dining plan, our total will go up around ~$400 which is not bad at all, but it's still more money. We were kind of waffling on the expense of a suite we truly do not need and now this is pushing me more over to the 'not necessary' side. Especially when they are showing me an alternate offer of $2403.20 for POP. GRRRR. We can walk over the bridge and still see AOA, right? Someone decide for me!:confused3

I honestly would love to be able to say SAVE THE MONEY and go for the cheaper hotel....HOWEVER..we stayed at the Values and swore we would never spend a penny more just to sleep. Then we went to Port Orleans...and now we swear we will never go back to a value.

We were going to reserve the AOA suites but we are traveling with family that just wants a regular room and they didnt have any. So to PO we go.

If you truly feel the suite isn't necessary, I say go with Pop. Like you said, you can still walk over and see AoA. And you could take the money you save to put towards souvenirs or other things. :goodvibes

We're staying at ASMu and I think we may just have to find some time to hop a bus to AoA while we're there because I want to see it too.

Thanks, guys. Ugh! Yeah, there are many things we could do with that $1500 we would save by switching. We've only ever stayed at ASMO(in a standard room) before, so thankfully we won't know the difference. I've been joking that if we stay in this suite, it will be like a gateway room and we'll never be able to go back to standard again. lol

You are 100% right! LOL

I am so happy our discount is official.:thumbsup2 Our TA called and we saved almost as much as free dining. I think it was less than $20.00 difference. However I have spent more on this trip that on any in the past ..eeek...
Feb 11-18
4 nights AKL 4 Adults ( 2 are preteens) standard room/ 3 nights Dolphin with points
6 day park hopper plus wp&m tickets
regular dining plan...
out total was 2900ish. This still sounds like alot for me but I am not switching...I am not switching.......

1st Disney trip. Liked the prices of values but have always like the look of PO-R royal rooms since I started my Disney research. Then the AoA was announced. Booked Nemo, but saved $900 to switch to cars. Traveling with a grandparent so suite cheaper the 2 rooms & PO-R royal rooms.

That is similar to mine. I got a Free Dining PIN yesterday by email and it will save me about $17 over what I have booked. The question I have is can I book the free dining PIN to my Ressie and ask them to change my son from being a 9 yr old, which he will be when we go on our trip, to a 10 yr old? Would love to pay the same and he get regular meals. He would much prefer "real" food than the kiddie meals.

We can't get the new discount for our stay, but we at least have aaa. The discount 1 bedrooms at BLT for our dates during the visa promo period.

Yes, you can, but it was also bump his ticket up to an adult and you would have to pay for the difference of that (it's not a lot).

The price of Nemo/Cars/Lion King should all the be same - did something else change on your res to save that much? I'd double check.

Is this offer better than free dining for the Moderate resorts?

My sis-in-law called yesterday to book the SPD package and its 600 more than what she had previously booked.

3 adults
1 3 year old
1 infant

POR-Feb2-13 Park hopper waterpark & more option, 10 day tickets.

Ive gone and confused myself.

I was reading everywhere where people said this was just as good as free dining..however, Im coming up with free dining saving us about 530.00 more!! Because with the SPD offer, we have to get an upgraded Garden View room at POR. Whereas a standard was more than fine last time. If we can get the FD with POR standard this would be great!

Hope they offer it!

Do you think that there is any chances they will agree to put the special on my preexisting LM room reservation? I knew there was little chance LM would have a special, but I don't want to move to pop and my husband don't want to make the jump to the suites (even if it would be very conveniant)

LM is sold out I think on my week.(I am starting to worry how busy the parks are going to be if the rooms are already sold out! It's supposed to be one of the lowest crowd season)

Not if the special isn't offered for those rooms or is already sold out.

I was at $2800 with SPD and exact same package with FD pin I got yesterday dropped me $500! So FD is better in my case.
