What in the world is going on with the rental prices?! I wasn't planning in a rental this trip, but just found out I will have to have a car for at least 2/23. Cheapest I can find is $70! In Nov. I had an economy with Alamo for $86 for 5 days.

I guess I'm back to checking every day again. I had hoped to use Alamo Insiders again, but that may not be an option.

I need an economy for 2/23, returning 2/24 to the CCC or 2/23-2/28 MCO-MCO. Any deals I am missing?

Prepaid rate on expedia.ca for a compact with Dollar is $126.82CAN inc taxes. US residents can book as well.

It's possible that rates just haven't dropped yet for your dates. Alamo dropped some of their early Feb rates this week. A 10 day booking for start dates from now through 2/9 have lower rates than rentals starting on 2/10 and beyond. Keep checking and you could be rewarded.

Alamo prices for my dates just plunged today. A minivan for 10 days (2/4-2/14) is $294.30 using Costco ID 7014627 and BJ's $40 coupon AD8Z21SDB. I also tried Priceline at $14/day and was declined. It's not going to take much more than that to win a bid with prices this low.....I'll try $15 tomorrow.

My priceline journey continues. So far, $14, $15, $16, and $17 have failed for a minivan. I know I can get a better deal winning through Priceline than I can with Hotwire and last year, it was about $4 less than Hotwire's non-refundable price. I think $18 a day is probably the number for my dates, but that would only save me about $30 for the rental than the deal I have now with Alamo. I'd hate to win a bid, then find that the rental companies suddenly drop their rates in the next 2 weeks.

OK, so the rates have finally come down for Alamo at the Car Care Center-- yeah! I think this should save us time (not having to go back to the airport_- we leave from Disney to go to Fort Myers.) I know Alamo is at the TTC-- but how/where exactly is that? We are staying at POR and we will be at Animal Kingdom the day we are picking up. Can we get from AK to the TTC? I also saw that ALamo says it runs a shuttle "from any Disney property"-- has anyone ever used this?

We have used the Alamo shuttle several times. The actual phone number to that branch should be on your reservation. You can call them 1-24 hours prior to your desired pickup. We've been picked up at EPCOT, PO-R, CBR, and the TTC. I recommend calling as soon as you can, as sometimes it does get busy.

My Alamo rate also dropped today by $30, but only when I changed my pick up time by 30 mins! A minivan 31/1-10/02 is $267.

Mine dropped by $30 as well. 2/22 - 2/26 $198 including taxes for a compact.
Hoping it continues to come down. I am using the VISA code, And $15 VISA coupon and insiders number.

My rate for national just dropped Jan 31-Feb 7 mid-size (emerald aisle) to $118 including taxes and fees using coupon ND8598AAP and contract id 5004279.

My rate from a couple days ago was $213 including taxes and fees
