My Alamo rate dropped again today. Picking up at TPA 2/22 - 2/26 compact for $189.12 using the VISA discount....says I couldn't use the $15 off coupon but I'll print it out and take it with me to see if they'll honor it. Down from about $198 yesterday.

I'm guessing it will drop down to the $24/day range by the time all is said and done....but since it's President's week I'm not taking any chances....I just rebook at the new rate and cancel the old reservation.

Found a deal with National for a 10-day minivan rental for $255 total. Contract ID 5026050 (United Mileage Plus, google the id to see the page on National) and coupon ND8598AAP for $35 off (on mousesavers National page, no physical coupon required). The best rates came up with a pickup time of at least 4 hours greater than the dropoff time. I'm picking up at 2pm on 2/4 and dropping off at 10am on 2/14. Cancelled my $261 Alamo rental.

Looks like National seems to be pricing out the lowest for all of us in Feb. I currently have a premium booked for $155 for Feb15-21 using one pass code and $35 coupon. Just found a rate of $127 for a midsize with EZ rent-a-car...does anyone have info on this company? It says in terminal, which is my major concern as we are arriving late with two kids and want to minimize our wait to get the car. Any info would be greatly appreciated! TIA

Thanks for everyone's help! I slept on it and decided EZ wasn't so EZ or the way to go. They are in the terminal though, I think...wound up re-booking AGAIN with Alamo for $119 for a full-size.
I think I'm done! Good Luck to everyone! The deals are out there but you have to be persistent or obsessive (like me)

I love deals like this!! I saw that the Hotwire rate for a minivan for my dates dropped to $15.95. I know I can *always* beat Hotwire with a Priceline bid. I had a "reward" in Priceline for $21 for car rentals. If you've bid before, check "my profile", then "my rewards" to see if you have one.

10 days, 2/4-2/14, $11 bid + $2.10 per day bonus ($13.10 total bid), my total deal is $202.11 for a minivan with Alamo!! Now....the only thing I have to wonder...could I have bid $1 less?

Have you tried National with code XVC1092 (Car and Driver)?

My dates are similar 2/18 - 2/25 and I'm getting a midsize for a base price of $261 for the week. I have NEVER paid that much for a MCO rental, but I've also never gone President's Day week either.

Used this same contract ID and code, today my rental came down $10 more to $91.75 for a midsize from 2/3-2/11, THANKS!!!

IM sorry when i said ez rent nds shuttle..i kept thinking of SIXTH ..nvr used either before....i see now Alamo has blocked out dates for som coupons from 2/7-2/18.
